Being 1st time visitors we spoke to a few folk as they left and got good reviews so in we went. Interior is interesting with individually painted tables and an inverted band stage. We were seated and our server explained a few dishes for us. Decided to try A Hot Mess and Cuban sandwich. Holy schmoley, the portions are huge! Ok so 1st time @ Belleview location mid day - started off strange no one came to seat us - then the bartender lady Very Nice came was surprised no hostess ok we are not too picky of people... Sat down waited again.... Finally bartender lady came saw lots of staff girls walking around didn't understand what they were doing ??? But our lady was fine made great drinks and when the food came IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!! Ordered the Clucker sandwich WOW GIaNT but wickeddddd delicious! I could've shared w/4 people lol! Service was great. We went there for birria tacos. Very disappointed with those. No flavor. I'm sure they weren't stewed in peppers over a long time. Mushy roast beef. I've had better birria somewhere else recently. Everything else was pretty good, although spinach dip was mostly cheese. Will return for something else. This use to be a really good spot the first few years they opened but I will not ever be returning here. We've given them 2 more tries in the last 6 months and both times were horrible. First off you'll wait forever to be seated as staff walks past you even the manager. The drinks taste nothing like they should. Literally taste like cheap tequila and lime rinds. Food is either old or way over cooked. Got the hot mess and the fries were like rocks! Even with the crap ton of cheese and bottled bbq sauce they use. To top it off our server was definitely on drugs. To be honest she looked like she'd went outside and hit her pipe a few times between checking on us, she could barely talk, slurred speech and could barely keep her eyes open. read more

We had fried pickles , shrimp tacos and the crazy Cuban with sweet potato waffle fries and coleslaw. The Cole slaw was too plain in my opinion and barely had flavor. I enjoyed the waffles fries and pickles though. I'm a big sauce fiend and they were all so good . Upon reading the reviews I was scared to go in BUT I had a GREAT experience! We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was nothing but locals and their family. We were warmly welcomed and seated. We had a great server who was so down to earth, amicable, and so kind! The drinks were just made to perfection! Luckily, we were there for happy hour and I completely enjoyed their purple haze. That drink will be my go to from now on. It was just right in smoothness and kick. My husband enjoyed his margarita and our friend his beer. The food, which is why I was initially scared of reading it was cold. I have no complaints. The food was amazing. Do you know how hard it is to find good Cuban food in central Florida?! I wouldn't say it's authentic but it is really close to it! The mojo pork was just finger licking good even though it was a sandwich! The Cuban bread was on point and so was the plantain! I wrote a super simple short review because yeah we had a great time, cool ambiance and great service but only ordered one thing. We also ordered a Cuban sandwich to go and I'll tell you two bites into that and I am compelled to shout this place from the rooftops! We had a great time dining in. Our bartender/server tony was amazing, so friendly and gave us great tips on the area. You could tell how loved he was by the regulars also sitting at the bar. Our dine in order was "the hot mess" basically the best loaded fries you'll ever have. I couldn't believe how many of them we ate. We had 2 other things on the menu picked out to share but the fries were just so good we couldn't stop. The Cuban sandwich had been calling our name all night but we knew we had to get it to go. First bite amazing, 2nd but with their mojo sauce!?!? INSANE. That vinegretteish sauce should be on everything. Any time we're back in ocala/ villages area I'll make a special trip here! read more

Very friendly staff and they were on top of cleaning from time we arrived to the time we left. The food is bar food, not the greatest, but if you're there for drinks anyway, it's worth it to grab a bite to munch on. So as always, after I pl!ce my order I check the yelp reviews, not gonna lie, some of the reviews I read made me think we were in for a bad lunch. But, Princess aka Elaina full of energy, smiles and great personality set my mind at ease. I had the Ricky a tasty sandwich, my wife the mojito salad, my parents the hamburger and crazy cuban sandwich. All were tasty. The electic interior and tv's throughout kept your eyes gazing around the room. Not sure what some of the bad reviews were about, any restaursnt can fail on any day. Today, all went very well. Just pulled in to the parking lot at 8:50 pm and 4 employees were outside smoking cigarettes. We then heard one tell the girl (blonde) "tell them we are closed" and started laughing. So, we asked them "are you closed?" They said...we close at 9. Really??? Your posted hours are until 10 pm on most nights and 11 on weekends. It frankly seemed like they were just trying to do their "closing" prep early by turning away customers. We stopped at the Belleview Mojos as we have eaten at the Ocala Mojos and loved it. Don't do it!! Drive alittle farther! We ordered a Bourbon rice dish and it had hardly any taste and a Cuban sandwich that came out burnt with nothing much in it. We waited and waited for this food. We had to flag down the waitress to tell her it was burnt. They had about 6 people working and not that many people in the place. When we were too leave she took our credit card and disappeared. We waited and waited and finally went up to the bar to ask if they could get it back for us. We will never go back there. TL;DR: Absolutely top-notch spot with consistent, incredible eats and great service! If I had to sum up my Mojo's experiences in two words, they would be: consistently excellent. I was put on to Mojo's by a friend from the area who has some dietary challenges, so I was excited to find a place near my favorite biking trails (Santos what up!) for some post-MTB eats. This place does dietary needs, RIGHT, with a special gluten-free menu with plenty of options for munchies. There's also a Lighter Fare menu if you're trying to watch the calories. The lettuce wrap tacos are bomb! Every time I'm here, the servers are excellent. Seriously the best ever. Food is amazing. I've had burgers, tacos, chips, queso, fries, fajitas... this place is consistent (there's that word again!). This is my favorite mojos location. They have a semi private room in the back for large groups and a patio for outside seating which is also pet friendly! My favorite meal is the Baja chicken tacos. This comes with a side of rice and beans, but i typically switch it out for a side of fried plantains. Yummy goodness and this location makes them the best. The food was delicious and came out pretty quick. Service was very good and the waitress even brought out a cup of ice water for my canine buddy Buster. Dark clouds were rolling in so we came, we ate and we split. Just in time before the skies opened up with a late afternoon thunderstorm. The atmosphere is great! Loud but good for big groups and families. Live music on the weekends. Great area outside! Taylor was our server and she was FANTASTIC! We have a lot of medical dietary restrictions and food allergies but she double checked everything! The manager came out several times and made sure everything was right. The food was delicious! My daughter loved the burger and gluten free bun. The other daughter loved the burger and their fries made in a dedicated gluten free fryer. My tacos were good and the rest of the table all loved their food too. The food took awhile but they kept checking on us, apologized and made sure our stuff was cooked separate which we appreciated. This was our second time at a MoJo's. The first was a different location. This particular one had decent food, but service was not so great. We should have known better as we noticed several tables that hadn't been cleared off or cleaned from previous customers. Perhaps they are short on help, but it was a long wait to have our waitress come to us to see if we were ready for our check. Well, she did, but then she never came back. We walked back inside and waited by the bar to get and pay for our bill. She passed us twice without saying anything. The bartender finally asked us if we needed help and he went and got her for us. Odd thing is I think we were her only table outside (& there were only a few others) and the inside only had a few tables with customers. I doubt we will return. Bummer. read more

The service was less than poor - I asked for a Sweet Tea with a small amount of ice, I got a coke that had more ice thank soda twice. Yo, yo!! Sup my Yelper peeps!! Giving this place much props!!! Here's why... While up in the Ocala, FL area for kids soccer, after the game we had the need to feed a dozen hangry kids. Using my trusted Yelp app The Mojo Grill & Catering came up with 4 stars. Now, it only (currently) has 18 reviews but all were positive. Pics looked great - thank you for that Yelpers. I called and they graciously made room for 20 people. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed and seated quickly in the party room. I'll fast forward to say the service was PHENOMENAL!! Unfortunately I don't remember our waiter's name but she was On It!! She made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Thank you so very much!! Drinks and apps came out quickly. The queso dip was great! Flavorful with good heat. And the tortilla chips were warm and had a very nice peppery taste. The potato skins were fab and so were the fried pickles. The wings were excellent. Definitely try the "Smack Yo Mama" sauce. Yes, you read correctly. That's the name of one of their 20 wing flavors. I wasn't insulting your mama...lol Their waffle fries are crazy good! These aren't your average Chik-fila waffle fries. These are the real thing. Overall lunch @ Mojos Grill & Catering on was ideal. Thank you Mojos we love you and we'll be sure to come back next time we have another soccer game in the area. Oh, and the adult beverages were great! Try one of their margaritas, or their mojitos. If you're a soccer parent you'll understand why drinks after a game are a must... One tip, we visited the location on 4496 SE 100th PL,Belleview. There are other locations. Used to be good. Went in for the shareable nachos, were told we couldn't do that anymore. Waitress forgot the salsa and sour cream that come with the regular Nacho appetizer. Never checked on us once. Poked her head out of the kitchen twice to look at me from across the restaurant, then ran and hid again. Tony came out when we gave up and took ourselves to the front to pay so we could leave. Said he had her working in the kitchen but no real effort to correct anything. She makes a sad last ditch effort for a tip by complimenting my purse. No. You didn't do any work. No tip. We tip 20%+. Not today. Won't be back. My opinion is they don't care about the customer.
