Promising. I went for the Philly cheesesteak, she locked onto the pulled pork sandwich, and I snagged a croquet sandwich for my son--because I'm the MVP of the lunch squad. The Philly cheesesteak had solid flavor--savory, satisfying--but let's just say it was more "cheeseskim" than cheesesteak. Could've used a little more firepower in the portion department. My daughter gave her pulled pork a quiet nod of approval (high praise from a teenager), and my son said his sandwich was very good. We have been on 3 occasions. The food is prepared cafeteria style. You choose your options. They serve it and you can dine in or take it to go. The rice was hard on my last visit and the Rabo encendido was not very tender. However, the croquetas were delicious they fry them when ordered which is my preference for best taste. Have not tried the sandwiches. May go back for the sandwiches and croquetas. read more

Haven't been here for about six months. I was gonna go for a pork dish until he said oxtail. The oxtail was cooked very well. Fell off the bone. Highly recommend if you like chewing around the bone this is your thing. Service was quick and helping are extremely large. The place is clean with plenty of dining space. read more

Your prices are oer inflated and as I told your husband or boyfriend whoever he is, I have a right to my opinion as well as you do. The two of you can't seem to take any criticism over your disgusting food and that's why you are losing customers rather than admitting that your food sucks. (come hungry) Prices: reasonable Taste: depends on what you have Villa Pinar seems to have a good take out following, but for those that want to dine in, there are plenty of tables and chairs. Located in a strip mall on the northbound side of 441/27 in Summerfield, there's ample parking, both on pavement and on grass/sand. Place your order at the counter and depending on what you've requested, they plate you right then and there and you take to your seat, or if the kitchen makes it, will serve it to you at your seat. After eating there twice this year, ordering once from hot dishes at counter and once for sandwiches from kitchen. I personally prefer the hot dishes offerings. Had the Frita Cabana on most recent visit and was disappointed in it, but bites from the meals my fellow diners had (hot dishes and a Cuban) were enjoyable. The cashier in the front desk was either in a bad mood or was mad in coming to work ( recommendation stay at home next time as you can ruin someone's experience). It doesn't matter how nice you were to her she was rude and short. I should've honesty walked out but my in-laws were hungry and had to eat due to meds. Onnn the bright side the food was okay. The restaurant gives you a comfortable home kinda feeling, which i like. I love how the staff interacts and knows their customers, it makes you know that they actually care. My friend ordered palomilla that had a nice flavor but was SO tough, she was not able to cut it with her knife- a steak knife was not provided. I will say in all honesty if you order from the steam table of previously prepared foods you might be better off. (what we ordered was cooked to order and not taken from the steam table.). Our tab with a Fanta and a bottle of water came to $30! The steam table luncheon portions @ $9.99 are huge, which may be why this place is so popular for folks who are satisfied with quantity over quality... The place is clean - tables are well spaced apart. We should have said something but the casual disinterested attitude of the cashier/order taker wouldn't have mattered. Being a Miami native I know my Cuban food and this place is the real deal. This appeared to be a mom and pop place which we always try to support. We way over ordered because we had been on the road way too long and were starving. We had a Cuban sandwich, a croquette sandwich, an order of pork and rice, an order of fries, an order of black beans, a picadillo empanada, a cheese pastry, and a guayaba and cheese pastry. There were only 2 of us!! Oh yeah, we also had a Cuban coffee. Anyway, it was all very good, especially the picadillo empanada.
