I see why the reviews are absolutely stellar for Paladar Cuban Eatery. This place absolutely rocks. The interior is such a vibe. Great music playing throughout. The decor is so thoughtful, even down to little table side fresh flowers. They have a nice covered patio dining area as well. But can we talk about the food? I tried out a Cubano and a guava and cheese pastry. The Cubano actually had sliced of roast pork which is very different than the pulled pork you get served at most places. It's up there with some of the best Cubanos I've have in Tampa. But wait a minute. Their guava cheese pastry? Literally the best I've had in my life. Literally. Not an exaggeration. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and more of their delicious pastries. What a gem of a place. Great people. Great food. Great vibes. 10/10. read more

That didn't take long for us to return. This time it was coffee and pastries. Not sure how to navigate the "Cuban Coffee" choices? No problem, they had a brief chart next to where you order that helps you out. I chose the Cortadito, husband had the classic Cafe Cubano and son went Cafe Con Leche. Delicious! We chose to enjoy them on the outside patio where the breezy morning made for a perfect setting. Lots of lush plants and a water feature outside, help you relax into the moment. Of course, I tried some pastries, Guava Pastelitos. Very buttery flaky crust with the right amount of Guava, enough to taste but not so much it gets messy. Husband had the cinnamon roll and it was great also. Very tender roll, with a good amount of cinnamon! YUM! My only regret is I can't raise my rating of 5 stars from the first visit. Our friend in Saint Augustine lives on a 6-minute walk from this place and it's a GEM. Yes, busy but that's to be expected. Our Frita Cubana was awesome! Flavor, texture, all there. The rice bowl was OK, not like the ones we enjoy in California though... Coffee? The bomb! Both bombon and cortadito were amazing and a great match with the cheesecake. As mentioned, a busy place but very cozy and super friendly personnel. 9/10 but 10/10 when the rice bowl gets a bit more of a punch. read more

First time coming here today. Not really a lot of Cuban food spots in Palm coast so if you wanna drive go saint Augustine this is worth the drive. The bistec was ok personally we liked the sandwiches more. The yuca fries and plantains were so good and flavorful and perfectly cooked. The service was the best part everyone so nice and helpful. I even got a pastries to go, I would choose the guava over the cheese. The cheese wasn't the best not like Miami. Still over all good food and great service. read more

I came across this place searching for restaurants in the area I'd never been to before while at Crescent Beach and I love a good Cuban place so decided I'd give this one a try. Let me preface the rest of this by saying I normally try not to compare a new place I'm going to my all time fave Cuban place in Atlanta but that usually fails and I compare every time. Comparing the two? This place doesn't stand a chance but on its own? It's pretty good. My usual thing to get is a medianoche which is a Cuban but on sweet bread. The bread on this one was toasted a little more than I prefer but overall it really wasn't bad. They had lots of other options and I'd go back to try some coffee or a pastry or dessert. The service was pretty quick and I had my order in no time. I went around 1pm on a Friday but they weren't too busy where it was overwhelming. It was a good amount in my opinion. What a gem south of St. Augustine in Butler Beach. We went to Paladar on a whim for breakfast and what a treat. Both of us had the American Cubano. The bread was superb and the egg sandwich was hot and oh so flavorful. I had Cuban coffee which was strong and delicious. Bread pudding for dessert, we shared, and Tiramisu which we took home. The restaurant greets you with a lovely courtyard including a Happy Birthday wall and several tables, many of which are shaded at different parts of the day. The menu has several Cuban sandwich options and customizable bowls (rice, meat, sauces, sides including plantains). My only complaint about the sandwich is that it was a little dry, but the meat was delicious. We had a lovely, smooth iced Cuban coffee. The person who took our order was really nice about explaining coffee options (hot, iced, with milk and sugar). They do offer almond and oat milk in addition to dairy milk. read more

We stopped by Palabar Cuban Eatery and had a great experience. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and provided excellent service. We tried the guava and cheese pastry (so delicious), plus a The Revuelto (eggs, ham and cheese on Cuban bread) orange juice and a beef empanada for our toddler. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. We were really looking forward to going to El Paladar Cuban eatery to have a Cuban sandwich and coffee. We were coming from Saint Augustine, returning to Orlando and decided to take route number one just to go to this special place. The location is good and their decorations inside and the general restaurant eating area was very good. I find, however, that they were a little pricey for the food they were offering. The Cuban sandwich was not what we expected as it was packaged in such a way that when you opened it up, it all came apart. Not really the Cuban sandwich that I would've expected from a Cuban restaurant. The people however, were very friendly, very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. We did not complain about the sandwich because we felt that it is an up-and-coming restaurant and they know what they are doing. Although pricey, we did enjoy our meal. read more

Cute little Cuban inspired restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. The menu is on the wall above the counter or you can check it out on your phone. There is a tip jar just in case you don't want to tip when you order on the spot before knowing what the service is or what it will be. A self-service water station is available if you don't want to order a different drink or coffee (yay!). All condiments, flatware, and napkins are all self-serve. They can accommodate slightly larger groups of 10 (give or take) as well. Of course, they have a menu to order from and everything is made fresh (within reason) to order. Plus, there are items in the "case" as well. Moreover, there are several dessert options. Please note, if you are a sweet tea lover like me, please be advised the sugar is stirred in cold and not brewed in. Bottled water is available for purchase if you prefer not to use the water station. As for the food...honestly, I wasn't happy with my sandwich--the Pan con Bistec. I thought it was tasteless and bland. But the good news is hot sauce and mustard were available. It was also hard to eat with the potato sticks on top--it just fell apart, so be sure to grab a fork and spoon. The maduros were good. I had lunch with a small group and those who just ate dessert or empanadas seemed happy. I guess I didn't choose wisely--it's just ok food to me. The décor inside is inviting and trendy...and the staff is friendly. In my experience, the service consists of your food being brought out. Now and then they would refill a drink, but otherwise, you need to go to the counter for the refill. There is plenty of parking shared by the entire strip mall. Amazing gem hidden inside Anastasia Island. This is a great place to grab some great coffee and breakfast food. We found this place during the second to last day of our trip to Florida. Inside looks gorgeous with an amazing mural and various decoration. Their pastries showcase is mouth watering and fresh. During our first visit, we grabbed a café cubano and got to try the Spaniard and Cuban American sandwich. The coffee was strong and tasty. Foods were fresh and delicious. During the second visit, got to try the el cubano sandwich, which was tasty and fresh. Overall, this is an amazing bakery and eatery to grab some great breakfast. When my brother, visiting from up north, suggested Paladar Cuban Eatery for lunch, my first thought was, "of all the good restaurants in St. Augustine, why are we going here??" Oh my goodness! I am so glad I didn't try to convince him to go somewhere else! This is the best Cuban meal I've had, maybe ever. I had the Shredded Mojo Pork bowl with spicy guava sauce and fried sweet plantains, husband had the steak sandwich (Pan con Bistec) and brother had the Cuban Sandwich. My mojo pork bowl had a generous portion of pork, sautéed onions, black beans and rice. I added their spicy guava sauce to give it a kick. The pork was tender and flavorful, absolutely delicious. Everyone loved their meal. They had a large selection of desserts, all made in house. And their coffee, their coffee!!! So, so good. We live about 45 min. north of the restaurant but my husband said he would go back just for the coffee, it is that good. My brother and his wife went back the next morning for breakfast. Everyone is happy and friendly, and prices are very reasonable. Wish we lived closer, but we will definitely return soon. Don't miss this gem! We definitely recommend it. read more
