We were in a bit of a time crunch this day during our breakfast together after church. We had reasonably good service from Tracy even though it was a busy time of day. We did have to request items more than once but...as I said it was busy. I requested, and received, my grits before my meal. Tasty grits with 1/2 & 1/2 on them...yum. Tom had a 'Good Ol' Benny' that he said was perfect. I had a Benny Florentine Omelet that was tasty and large enough to take some home for Monday's breakfast. read more

So excited that this locally owned cafe is opened now for take out. Everything done well, masks on servers, table outside, sanitizer on table, food as delicious as always. When you enter the place you can already tell that the Owner already doesn't have a lot of money. The places is dated. Usually that means they still have good food though. So eating there is defiantly an experience, but don't eat there if you in a hurry. The can't get your order right probably because either the waitresses can't write it down right or the cook who is the owner is to stupid to read the ticket. So the food has to bee sent back for then to get it right. The waitresses are rude, self absorbed and have no personality. They walk around with a chip on their shoulders! Haven't figured out if I will return. Maybe if I wanted to be treated like shit that day! read more

12/11/18 Ocala, FL. Had lunch here for the first time. My husband & I are new to the area & wanted to try something different. Interior was clean, friendly & like an old town haunt you visit regularly. Big menu & diverse (I like that). We both ordered the Patty melt on marbled rye with fried onions & Swiss cheese, comes with hand-cut French fries. We were pleasantly happy with our selection, a thick patty that met the edges of the bread. A big yumm. Service was quick & friendly, plate was reasonably priced. We will be back. read more

I had higher hopes for this place. The food was okay, I had the home fries which looked a little funky and corned beef hash which was very dry. The waitress was nice, but when I told her my kids would just share a waffle and bacon she came back to tell me there would be a $0.50 sharing charge which I thought was odd but I figured it was just for them to split the plates so I didn't argue. Well they brought out the waffle on one plate and I had to split it. I won't be returning, nothings good enough to upcharge my kids to share a plate. What a joke. read more

We were Ocala, Florida for 10 days. Went for Sunday Lunch. Tried the Oasis for lunch. BIG MISTAKE!! Waitress was great. The stir fry looked like someone threw up on the plate. My salisbury steak look like a hamburger with gravy. I said not a word about it. One of the owners (woman) came over as I was speaking to the waitress. Owner was rude, obnoxious & kept butting in. I asked her to please let the waitress do her job. The owner started a barrage of cussing & swearing, throwing "F" bombs and told me to "get the hell out of here!!" I calmly told her to "shut up." That set her off like a crazy person. I stood there and watched her act like a child throwing a tantrum. Bottom line, we left and will never come back. The owners lack customer service; manners; and should NOT be in the restaurant business or working with people. I have travelled all over the U.S. & in several countries and have NEVER had such an altercation. I would NEVER recommend this eatery. read more

Worst breakfast I've ever had in my life (and I worked as a breakfast diner). Hashbrowns were mushy, sausage gravy had no sausage and tasted funny, and biscuit was rubbery and not fully cooked. I complained to the waitress, and no one spoke to me, and they refused to remove the charge for my breakfast. The manager wouldn't even look us in the eye when she rang up our bill. First visit to Oasis Cafe in Ocala. We ordered breakfast for lunch. What we would have considered 'ordinary' fare: eggs, toast, hash browns, sausage, was extraordinary! Our Wednesday ladies lunch group consisting of usually 12 ladies decided to try Oasis. The first week we went there was great. Great good, great service, great prices. The next week was not so good. Two ladies ordered hamburgers. They both said they tasted strange and only took one bite. The waitress talked to the cook and he said next time the ladies should ask for no seasoning. Really! Anyone can tell the difference to seasoning vs bad hamburger. The waitress did not offer to comp their meal or even take anything off their bill. This is not good business. We probably won't go back. My food, a taco salad, was great. Service was good and price was good. Personally I will go there again. read more

Best Family style restaurant in Ocala, has the best food around and the absolute friendliest waitresses around.
