Went on a Friday night, and while it wasn't too busy, the service made it feel like we were invisible. Our server took our drink order quickly, but then we sat there for almost 30 minutes before they came back, definitely a sign of how the rest of the night would go. We had to hunt someone down every time we needed something--napkins, refills, extra ranch..you name it. For food, we started with the fried pickles, then got the Cuban sandwich and the fajita platter. We also ordered a Shirley Temple, but it was so watered down it tasted like fizzy tap water, it had no hint of grenadine or Sprite at all. The fajita platter was disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and lacked flavor, so we had to drench it in Cajun ranch just to make it enjoyable. The fried pickles were a letdown too. They were salty and over-seasoned, plus they were more soggy than crispy. A few had a good crunch, but they were tiny, almost like crumbs. The one saving grace? The Cuban sandwich. It had a great balance of meat and flavor, definitely the best thing we had all night. Between the hit-or-miss food and frustrating service, I'm not sure I'd return to this location. we once loved mojos! We've been doing wing night for past few months. They are cooked to the point of being crunchy and and shriveled meat. I kept thinking it would get better. Tonight we got burgers to go. Our buns were like rocks and super dry! No way we could eat them. I had the blk bean burger. We eat at Mojo's every time we are in the Ocala area. Great funky atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable prices. I always enjoy the Rajun Cajun Pasta. These folks have some Cuban influence, because they have Cuban dishes like Vaca Frita and Cuban Pork, and believe or not they are pretty good. They have a stage and plenty of musical instruments as decore, so don't doubt they have musical performances at times, we just have not had the pleasure of experiencing any performances. read more

My wife and I decided to try Mojos for a late lunch. We had Charly, who was a great waitress. However my order was to have no mushrooms, yet there they were. My wife ordered chicken quesadillas, and her second bite got a slivered chicken bone caught in her throat. Coughing, she finally got it out. We informed Charly, and had our meals remade and had told the manager. Endless to say the manager never came to check if everything was OK, even though it was not busy at all. This will absolutely be the last time we step foot in this place, as there are numerous better places in this town. read more

My kids both have food allergies, so I called the restaurant prior to stopping by. The manager, Henry, confirmed what I was interested in was good with their allergies and told me to ask for him once we got there. Henry came to our table, verified everything was safe, and even made the meal himself to be extra sure. Our server, Christine, was also very attentive, constantly checked on us and made sure everything was ok. I am very pleased with the service and care with the food allergies. Great service ! Great place Delicious food !!! We were recommended this place from people at Silver Springs Kayaks and it did not disappoint! Everyone in our party was happy and delighted by their meals and drinks! We went for a lunch during the week and they were slightly busy but not crazy and we were seated in the fireplace area with the Elvis and stairway to heaven with guitars and pictures of artists painted at the top ! Good music playing and good vibes ! The menu has lots of options from quesadillas to salads to fajitas and wings and bowls of every type! The teenagers cleaned their plates , the chips and cheese were a hit , the wings were my dads favorite , the pulled pork quesadillas I couldn't even finish , and the different types of bowls were a hit all around the table ! I contacted Mojo Grill for catering information for our two Hospice volunteer Christmas parties. Jamie Green is their catering director and I have to say, she was a pleasure to work with. She replyed to all of my emails promptly and was so helpful. The catering staff showed up early, they had everything they needed and were a pleasure to work with. Funny thing with wings is the ones with two bones taste a lot better than the one with one bone. 1.5 hours, a messed up appetizer, a warm patio due to a broken fan, and had to confiscate my own togo boxes.......hmmmm. I am a big fan of Mojo's and typically frequent this location. This experience has really put a bad taste in my mouth which I found very surprising. three meals: salad, wings, and chicken sandwich. Ordered the hot mess appetizer. I have to order it with the pork and bacon on the side because I don't do pork, but others I am with typically do. It came out.......very slow, but we heard the kitchen was backed up so this is to be expected. It was fully loaded. When the person brought it I immediately sent it back due to the errors. Shortly after the waitress , Noah, comes by and apologizes claiming it was her error, but it would be out very soon.........well not sure if she was referring to how long it took "Noah to build an ark" as quickly but that was not happening. When I never received our tab I walked myself up to the waitress area with my to go items in hand to confiscate to go boxes. I told her that I could not wait anymore but needed to pay the tab. I reviewed my $61 tab and sw there were two hot messes, but one was comped. I thought well this is good they are comping the appetizer because she messed up and it took forever to get the replacement. I walked over to the manager and said it appears that this was comped, but I was charged 2 times. He said right, did you not receive the 2nd one. I said yes but I thought you were comping this. He said no I wanted to make sure you weren't double charged. Then it hit me, the reason it took so long for the replacement is she put in a new order.....wow. So there was no way it was coming anytime sooner. this experience was definitely not their best act, and I must say I lost a little bit of excitement about returning. Lots of pork and queso on top of a bed of waffle fries. Delish!!! For our entree my hubby ordered the Birria tacos. He liked them. It was just missing a little more spice/seasoning, but it was good quality ingredients. I got the shrimp and grits. I'm a big shrimp and grits eater so to me they were just ok. Needed a little salt to bring out the flavors. Then we had dessert. This was my favorite part. We had the bourbon peach bread pudding. OMG it was sooooo good. It was gooey in the inside and crispy on the top. The crispy top layer had tiny pieces of peaches, a brown sugar bourbon sauce and caramel. It was served warm with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. A Friday early evening with a table of teachers (and that's why there will be no photos) was a great way to close out a hectic week at Mojo's on 40 in Silver Springs. Unfortunately, I was stuck in traffic and got there late, but our server, Mariah, made me feel like I had been there the whole time and had my drink ready for me. There were three (all different) Ragin' Cajun pasta dishes, teriyaki wings, slap your momma wings, quesadillas and plantains - along with a variety of adult beverages - and everything was top notch.
