Our first time here. Ate a late lunch at 2 PM/1400 on a Saturday. Our server, Josh, was outstanding. The free bruschetta, the home made garlic knots and home made bread were phenomenal. The sauces are great. We both had baked rigatoni. I had the eggplant parm; it was made right, thin and crunchy. Salad was fresh and tasty. The ambiance is homey, a family style restaurant. We found out they have weekly specials and kids 12 years old and under eat free. The restaurant and restroom are clean. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by smiling male and female staffers. What a great local place! If you're lucky you get to sit in one of the alcoves then feel like you're actually still in Italy. The food was fantastic. Had a wide assortment of dinners at our table. Big helping so you can take some home. Kind of like the way Olive Garden used to be, but not a chain and everybody that works there acts like it's their family business. Of course it's a favorite of the older set that lives in the area because of the value in the price of the meals for what you get, and the friendly staff. First time experience... we ordered 2 pizzas both were soggy and dominos pizza flavor much better. Ordered a Greek salad $15 thinking that for the price, it was a good size and it look like a side salad when I got it. The container half empty. I called, thinking it was a mistake and the girl that answered the phone said that it was the right size. Sincerely there's nothing special with that food, first and last time eating from there. Had a late lunch there...food was OK. The salads were quite large for the lunch special. I got an eggplant Parmesan, not part of the lunch special so I did not get a salad. They can improve by getting better management!!! Have come in lots of times with family and friends! The manger is always a horrible snub who thinks he is better than everyone! The food is pretty good pizza is great! But you can get a lot better service if you have the manger wait on you he is always RUDE!!! He looked at my mom nasty because she doesn't dress nice and has ignored us at the bar! I have taken my friends to this place and let them know how I have been treated! We were visiting a family member, and this restaurant came recommended. As soon as you walk in the smell, just takes you over. Reminds me of the old school Italian restaurants back home in CT. The restaurant has a very cozy feeling. They have an awesome drink special and full bar. The waitress was friendly and attentive. And we did not have to ask for anything. Out of the ordinary. We got a couple of appetizers, which were very good. My pasta could have had a little bit more sauce, but meatballs were good. Next time, I think we will try the pizza. If you're looking for a quick bite, and some decent italian food. This place is worth the visit. read more

Thought I'd try Ricardo's for lunch a few days before the holidays. There were hits and misses for me. (I lived in Bostons North End and became an Italian restaurant snob and am still picky) To get into the strip mall Ricardo's is located on is tricky if coming south on 27/441, especially if you're trying to find it visually, not with gps. Once on the northbound side of road, found the first driveway into parking area had me going wrong way (parking spaces are angled and I was going against flow). (Surprise 1) Use the middle or upper driveway cuts to save you a small maneuvering headache. Found the correct door to enter and had pizza pickup station on left and dining to right. I was greeted, advised it was my first visit and sort of reconnaissance for possible future visit with dietary challenged family. Was shown to a table and left with menu. Opened the cover and found a tablet instead of typed menu (surprise 2). No instruction from waitress on how to navigate and I muddled around a bit. Tried to use the search option for items, but everything came back as not found. Asked my waitress about the search program and was advised it never operated. While I understand electronics are here to stay, I miss the typical menu. To flip between items I might want was difficult with the tablet. I also didn't feel information on individual dishes was adequately described. I was hoping for several vegetarian entrees (ala pasta primavera, eggplant rollad, etc) but except for pizza or choose your own pasta & sauce, didn't find many (surprise 3). Ended up choosing lunch special of beet salad and pomodoro fresca. Salad was nice, beets, orange, nuts on greens. The pasta was a giant plate of angel hair and sauce. To me the pasta was overcooked: too soft. Dessert was tiramisu. Sponge was dry, hardly any espresso flavor. Topping was almost too thick. Then the ruined it by topping it with bottled chocolate syrup, whipped cream dollops and a cherry. Portions for meals are decent sizes, and lunch special was $13. Tiramisu was $9, had I asked price, I definitely wouldn't have ordered. (The stuff at local supermarket bakery is better tasting and only $7). Glad I tried Riccardos, but it's not my place for pasta. read more

We went there with four of us and a coupon BOGO entrees. The waitress didn't give us that and I asked for the manager. She said "I am the manager". We argued with her but she wouldn't budge. My wife and I had lunch here yesterday, on Tuesday they have their large cheese special for $12. I also dine here after Knights of Columbus meetings with my fellow brothers and the staff/service is always very accommodating and pleasant. Highly recommend trying out this place. We ordered via Grubhub, we wanted pasta but couldn't find our usual spots available for delivery. When we saw Riccardo's we decided to give it a try as it was my dad's birthday and his name is Ricardo so we figured it was meant to be. Omg! Everything was amazing! I order the Chicken Caprese, dad had the Chicken Parmesan and mom Chicken Alfredo. We also ordered the garlic knots. The portions were the perfect if not on the more generous side and everything was perfectly cooked and so flavorful! I couldn't finish my plate, I ate it for breakfast it was that amazing! First time going to this restaurant after friends said how good it was. The service was great. My wife had chicken francese and said it was good. I had my go-to dinner, which was Chicken Parmesan. It had way too much oregano, which I do not like. Probably go back and try the pizza. read more

Rude management. Had reservations for 6:30 and arrived a few minutes early to settle two toddlers. Had been there several times before. We saw the table was ready but they refused to seat us. Said it would upset the servers and they could not tell us when we could get a server even when seated because they had so many unexpected walks in - umm - what is the point of reservations? Manager was extremely rude - hopefully when he matures he will recognize the value of repeat business. But it wont be mine. Shame, because we consistently tip 30% and up. read more
