First of all the service was fantastic. We've been there twice and got the same server. The first time we went there, I had the Chicago pizza. My goodness that was true Chicago pizza. It was huge and it was good. The next time we went there I had one of their sandwiches and a cocktail this time. The bar tender was great, our same server provided us with the same great service. Both times we went there, I came with my golf group so there were about 12 of us. Went on a Friday night not realizing it's karaoke night. The room with the music was pretty busy, but not jammed. We sat on the other side but could still hear music which was nice. Service was okay. The waitress was pleasant, but seemed overworked. Hubby ordered the chicken wings/shrimp dinner. He doesn't like hot spicy food so the shrimp, while good, was too hot for him. Wings were great. He got a side of the Mac and cheese which was huge, and ended up taking most of it home. Potato salad is excellent. I got the cheese steak sub. It would have been good if it was made with a good sub roll, but the roll was like a big hotdog roll and spoiled it for me. Fries were good but nearly cold when they were served and got really cold before I ate them. In general we like this place, but will have to learn what parts of their menu we like and what we don't. Mom and I went back today. We ordered the onion rings and chili cheese nachos. Yep, we were in a munchies mood. The onion rings were just as good as last time. Drink service was from the Bartender who explained our server would be with us shortly - this short wait turned out to be over 15 minutes. Ordered a Beef Cheesesteak sandwich with mushrooms and onions, Cheesesteak was hot and the cheese was nice and melted but was not impressed the mushrooms are from a can. Also ordered cheese sticks with ranch dressing and this order was completely forgotten. When mentioned to our server she said they will be right out, however it appears the cheese sticks need to be fried and we were finished with our sandwich and fries by the time the cheese sticks were served with marinara. This has so much open space. They can really fit in a lot of people for the game days. Prices are not bad at all for the food you get. And the drinks are poured just to the liking I like. Went to legends for wings as we are from WNY and were told they had the best wings in the area. Pleasantly surprised when we walked in, it was wing buffet night! $20 all you can eat. There had to be atleast 10 Varieties along with Mac n cheese and waffles. Wings were delicious. My only complaint is there was no blue cheese. Only ranch. I think they offered it but not on the buffet. We were also pleasantly surprised how clean and updated it was. The Rundown: a surprisingly large restaurant that oozes local experience and cooks items to order. The Review: I was brought here by a friend who has lived in the area for a while since I wanted to do something I couldn't get elsewhere. A standalone location, it gives off local vibes and does not disappoint. They offer a variety of themed nights and some added menu experiences to spice things up (buffet days, wing nights). The menu is EXTENSIVE - though cluttered it is relatively easy to navigate and you should be able to find something for anyone. The pricing is reasonable for the portions you receive - which are large. Do prepare to wait but it's for good reason, almost all items are cooked to order. The staff are friendly and pretty attentive, the atmosphere has lots going on with no clear theme. It's places like these you come for the local vibes and they do give off plenty - it isn't uncommon to find regulars hanging at the bar, conversing with the staff on a friendly basis. The food itself is good - personally I went with their legendary Philly (since their name was in the sandwich). It was pretty standard though, wasn't something I'd go back for but I did hear the calzones and wings are highly recommended so I'd give those a go (calzones take ~45 minutes according to menu note). I waited until the day after our experience to make sure I wasn't just frustrated in the moment. This review is after waiting, and as honest as I can be. 1. The one positive of the night was that my husband said his Reuben was good (minus the fact that the bread was burned). He said that had the bread not been burned, it would've been the best Reuben he's ever had. So, that was good (again, minus the burned bread). 2. The fries with my husband's Reuben were cold. They were cooked, but were cold. 3. I had wings, and ordered mild (said it had a little kick), but there was no kick. It was like a sweet sauce. If you order mild (unless they put the wrong thing on it), expect sweet with no heat (not like Buffalo Wild Wings or ones at any other restaurant I've been to). 4. I would've expressed this to the waitress, mind you, had she checked in on us even once. She did not. 5. It took over 35 minutes to receive our food. Maybe it was a skeleton crew at 5:30 pm, but that seemed like a lot for not many people in the restaurant. 6. If you are not a regular, I would not suggest eating here. You will be ignored, and the waitress we had spent more time talking with a friend that was following her around than checking on customers. We didn't see her for quite some time...over 20 minutes. 7. The air conditioning was barely on. I'm all for not freezing in a restaurant, but goodness it was too warm in there for this Florida summer. I hate to leave a bad review, as I know it's hard to keep people, but I've seen so many people say that this is a great place to eat, and I have to completely disagree. We will not be back. First of all, stay away from this place on their busiest nights like karaoke or cheap wings nights, unless you were looking forward to fighting for space in the strange wraparound parking "grass" and then going in to fight for space again. Secondly, this isn't me but someone I know and trust resolutely, it's a struggle for single women who go in there. She was accosted rapidly, continually and worst of all, creepily. Legends was our favorite place for pizza. The toppings were generous, and the crust was thick enough to enable slices to be picked up. But over the last few months, the crust has become so thin, slices are impossible to pick up. That kind of floppy New York pizza can be found in many places. The friendly waitresses have all left. What a great hole in the wall!!! I called head and ordered the deep dish and it was worth the wait for 45-60 mins. I got it in the car and drove home to Ocala (45 mins north) and it smelled so good I started to eat it while driving. and OMG.... it was so good.
