Stopped by for a slice of pizza and it did not disappoint!! Delicious...Detroit style...not too much sauce..great amount of cheese...and the crust is amazing. We will be back!! We also want to try their coney dogs. Their coney sauce is from Michigan! Prices are very reasonable. read more

The pizza is so good here but the lack of life, ie no radio and or TV for background noise makes it not enjoyable. There was one girl working who sat us, got us beers and made our pizza which was delicious. We got the 8 corner pizza and it's worth all the calories. Another guy eventually came in but just no noise, please pur music on. I'm not saying install a sound system but please do something. I was almost about to turn my Amazon music on from my phone. We will go back but if nothing changes, ambience wise, we will order to go and drink our own beer at home with our pizza. read more

Thought I would try this place. Ordered a four piece, deep dish pepperoni pizza and a Coney dog for pickup. When you arrive, there is no clear indication of where to park or where to go to get your order, so I pulled in the drive-through. The place was dead, flower beds, etc. overgrown with weeds and the building was deteriorating. I pulled up to the window and they provided me with my order. The first thing I noticed is an extremely powerful smell of disinfectant/Pine-Sol. It was on the pizza box, the bag, the napkins. Yuck! The Coney dog was some cheap wiener with a little bit of chili on it and definitely was not Coney sauce... Threw it away. I couldn't get over the smell and looked at the pizza and the crust was burnt ....threw it away too. Just say no to this place ....never again. :( read more

I found this place about a month ago. I've already been four times. I didn't know Detroit style pizza was, but now I'm hooked. The owner, I think his name is Jonathan, is an amazing young man. I look forward to my next trip. Which is soon. read more

Stopped in for their square pizza from a friends recommendation and glad we did! The crispy buttery crust is so good. Lots of toppings including cheese. They have lots of interesting flavored ice cream. We didn't get any- too full. Around 7:30p there was a steady stream of people coming in for ice cream. Before then, we were the only ones eating in. Super nice female working behind the counter. She said "Welcome to Ice King"to everyone coming in. Will definitely return! read more

So drop the golf cart for the evening and hop in the car for some very good Detroit style pizza. Be prepared for 14 minutes to pick up. The place had about twenty people inside eating pizza and ice cream in a converted gas station building. Heavy pizza lots of toppings worth the effort! read more

Excellent Detroit style pizza! The crust, sauce, toppings...it's like I'm back in Detroit. I'm so glad we decided to stop in and try it out. They also have a huge variety of icecream favors offering hand dipped cones, cups, sundaes, shakes and smoothies, along with other food items like quesadillas, wraps. Icy King is a one-stop shop for comfort food and a new favorite for us. Icy King is very service oriented, food comes out piping hot, the owner is very nice and they care about their customers' satisfaction. This place lives up to its reviews. read more

I have been driving by this place every day on my way to work, so I finally decided to pop on and check.it out. From the outside it looks like a converted gas station, but don't let that fool you; it is a converted gas station. As soon as I walked in, it was an immediate throwback to 1989 in the best way possible, if you're look for fine dining haute-cuisine this isn't for you. But if your looking for something that evokes the feeling you got from going to a family diner or pizza hut with the family, this is 300% it. From the plastic picnic tables, to the table in the corner covered in one of the staff members homework, it is definitely a goofy little family restaurant. The service was extremely fast and polite, and despite the fact that it was only a 3 man crew for a lunch rush, they did everything in their power to get my food out fast and hot. I have to admit the cashier sprinting back and forth like a madman was pretty funny. But he was clearly determined. I had 2 Coney dogs and personal pan pizza, and everything was great. The coney sauce was great, and the pan pizza was exactly what you would expect, crispy, cheesy, gooey and wonderful. Great place for friends and family. Highly recommend. read more

Did not have pizza when we went due to equipment breakdown. Check before going. Interior is dated, unattractive, not so good on cleanliness, but I GUESS WE NEED A FEW UNIQUE, Mom & Pop, non-flashy, not trying to impress places around to balance all the snazzy but expensive ones! Interesting food choices, but we did not eat there, so I cannot judge quality. read more

We ate our pizza in, wanted it hot, definitely Detroit style pizza with sauce on top and thick and crispy, very good. Maybe not the same but good. Ice Cream to die for, so many flavors. read more

Love their smoothies and what super great deep dish pizza they have!! Great service and employees!

This ice cream place sits at a closed Chevron station. The gas signage still entices drivers. The owners have done a good job transforming this into a fun ice cream place. Prices are more than perfect. No silly add a tip at check out. There is a fee for using a credit card. Our frozen treats came with generous portions. Really, my only nit was the teenage employees using their headset radios to laugh and carry on while we ate. It didn't bother me, but I did notice it. The owner seems concerned about running a good ship. read more

I was looking for an ice cream spot near me, and the pictures of the pizza here caught my attention - and the positive reviews. So when dinner time arrived, we got in the car and headed out. First of all, this is a creative use of an old gas station / convenience store. You can certainly tell that's what it used to be. With folding chairs and tables this is 100% a family owned establishment that's working to build a name for themselves - and they are doing a great job of it. As mentioned, the pictures of pizza had caught my eye. We don't normally get deep-dish, but I had to try it. While our meal did not look like the ones in the pictures, it was quite tasty. The crust was not doughy or heavy, but was light and fluffy. We found it to be very flavorful, though we will try the hand-tossed crust next time. We happened to catch them on their busiest night ever, according to the servers Apparently they had been featured on a publication in The Villages recently, so awareness for them had grown. Despite being busier than ever, the staff was still energetic, upbeat and friendly. Quite frankly, their energy and positivity are what made our visit so enjoyable. Of course, we had to have desert. They offer shaved ice, fruit smoothies and Hershey's Ice Cream. We each had waffle cones with 2 scoops of ice cream. The portions are generous, and the ice cream was fantastic! Not only was the food tasty and the staff friendly, but the prices are very reasonable! A pie of 4 squares of pizza, two sodas, and two 2-scoop cones came to less than $40 - excellent value for the money! If Icy King can continue to offer this combination, they will have even more busy nights ahead of them! I can certainly say that we are already talking about our return visit. If you're in the area, make sure you check 'em out! read more

We started out with hot dogs, real good better that the yellow Wildwood dog place. Pizza was so good.

Their Detroit style pizza is the bomb. I ordered for takeout, had to wait a couple minutes inside. Two people working - nice young girl up front and the owner or manager in the back making pizza. Detroit style features the edge of the pizza being a little burnt. It was perfection. read more

Deep dish meat lovers lived up to the hype! Called ahead in-route and pizza was hot and ready right after I arrived within about 20 minutes. Asked difference between the 4 corners and 8 corners deep dish, and it's just a size difference. I got the 8 corners ($28) but I only ate 2 pieces and husband had 2, and that was filling... so we have 4 pieces leftover for tomorrow. They do not skimp on the toppings! Didn't order anything but the pizza bc this is what they're known for, based on previous reviews, but menu has lots more food options and they also have smoothies and ice cream. Very interesting how they converted this gas station to an eatery. The exterior and the interior decor could use a glow up but at least the pizza is top notch. read more

Sooo incredibly disappointed!! First visit (take out) from Icy King. Was totally excited to try "Detroit" style pizza. As you can see from the pic - crust wasn't caramelized - it was burnt! And it tasted burnt! I called to order and told the person I was ordering - we had 5ppl - he said "2" 4-square pizzas were enough. NOPE... went to pick up and had to order an additional pizza. That's how we started... pizza crust was burnt on one of the pizzas and NOT COOKED in the middle. Threw out pieces out of disgust! Honestly, just so annoyed right now. read more

If you like a place with character, this is it! A converted Chevron station that has amazing Detroit style pizza and a huge selection of ice cream! We ordered then went out to sit at the picnic tables. The waitress brought out our drinks, cloth napkins, a pizza stand and Parmesan cheese and peppers. (Tip, order something other than water to drink.) The pizza was piping hot, super cheesy and perfect Detroit style crust with crispy edges. I know we'll be going back! And best of all, $42 for a large pizza and 4 single (huge) scoops of ice cream. read more

Here is why. Your staff member at lunch did not change his gloves while handling food and money. This is not okay. The inside needs to be cleaned up. Too much stuff and I am not sure what but no way will I return. Clean up your sitting area. It looks nasty. read more

This is a new family owned business in the heart of Leesburg. They offer indoor & outdoor seating that can accommodate groups. They have a walk up order window and also drive thru service. They offer fresh sandwich wraps, flatbreads, coffee, Hershey's ice cream, smoothies & more at a great price! I tried the chicken pesto flatbread and the cappuccino crunch ice cream. Both were so good! I also tried a latte made with fresh ground coffee! The flavor was delicious! The owners are so friendly and have really made this a great atmosphere. The pizza is fantastic! We had the thin crust, half mushroom / ham, half sausage / onion. Generous cheese covering and the sauce (made in house) is absolutely delicious. I have been craving Detroit-style pizza since moving to Florida from Michigan 3 yrs ago. I was not disappointed. If you are from the Detroit area, you know. This is as close as it gets. Wonderful atmosphere, very nice and polite employees. Definitely worth trying, and reasonable prices

Located in a converted gas station. Inside seating consisted of folding chairs & tables, but with nice cloth table cloths & napkins (?) First the good: Very nice selection of ice creams! The not so good: coney dogs very mediocre. Hot dogs were NOT natural casing dogs and came off a " roller" heater; buns NOT steamed, but were from a toaster oven (microwave?); coney sauce WAS decent. Certainly not up to Detroit type of coneys (Lafayette or American). French fries were from frozen and just heated in a toaster oven, not fried. Tried a slice of their "Detroit style" pizza. Square slice, deep crust, cheese to edges, but sauce was between crust & cheese, rather than on top (which is how its done in the D). Overall, slice was just OK. read more
