Craving BBQ and have always wanted to try this spot, came here for an early dinner and was surprised to see parking lot was fairly busy and serveral tables occupied upon entering. Booth and table seating is available. Large menu to select from, I chose the I Bar B Que plate - Brisket with double Potato Salad. The Brisket was sliced very thin and dry and needed Bar B Que sauce which is on the table. The Potato Salad was very wet and overly sweet. Also ordered the peach cobbler to go ( sorry for got to get pic) but was missing peach slices and very doughy. Service was very good and staff was pleasant however with as many BBQ restaurants in the area it may be a one and done. read more

Very good BBQ with a friendly wait staff. They came and checked on us several times. Large menu to choose from and homemade sides. My friend had a lunch portion of ribs with 2 sides and cornbread. The ribs were HUGE. She had mac and cheese and collard greens and loved both of them. The cornbread was moist also. I had smoked chicken and brisket, dinner portion, with 2 sides. They asked if I wanted white or dark meat. I said white, which was a $2 up charge, which I didn't realize until I got the bill. My chicken was flavorful, but a bit dry. My brisket was good - I'm use to a little fat on it, which adds even more flavor. I had baked beans and collard greens for my sides. I really liked the beans - they have a slightly different taste than I'm use too, in a good way. Not your run of the mill baked beans. The collard greens were melt in your mouth, not bitter at all. They don't have meat in their collards, like I'm use too, but they were still delicious. We also split a fried green tomato appetizer, which was 6 tomato slices. For $12.99. I didn't realize they were that much until we got the bill. They were not greasy at all and quite delicious, but that felt expensive. We both thought that. The lunch prices are in the $13-15 range. Dinners are high teens, low $20s. My food with tip was around $40. They also do catering - my friend learned about them because they catered a party she had attended and wanted to try them in person. - First time at iBBQ I stopped by iBBQ and ordered the catfish lunch. It came with one piece of fried catfish and two sides. The catfish was cornmeal-battered (which I prefer) and it was hot and fresh--definitely the highlight of the plate. For sides, I went with collard greens and mac and cheese. The greens were just okay--nothing special, nothing bad. The mac and cheese could've used a little more seasoning, especially salt. It wasn't bland, but it didn't pop either. Now, at $15.99, I expected a little more--maybe a second piece of catfish to really feel like a full meal. Just one piece felt a bit underwhelming for the price. This was my first visit, and while nothing really stood out as amazing, nothing was terrible either. Just middle of the road. Hole in the wall and a Mom and Pop, the kind of places we love. My wife is Gluten Free and I do not eat meat. Crazy to go BBQ, but they made it work for us. I had a Grouper sandwich and then smothered it with their good BBQ sauce. It was really good! It came with a side and after they brought the wrong side, then the correct one, I ended up with 2 sides. They were fine with that and I got to try their homemade potato salad. My wife had the chicken as it was GF and she liked it as well. The key is to arrived before the dinner prices kick in, to save on costs. The waist staff were great, helpful and super nice. I only wish they offered more than 3 sauces with one being regular, another was mustard and also a hot version. I also suggested that they make a salmon sandwich in addition to the Grouper that I had as an alternative to meat. Check them out and enjoy! read more

As usual, the food was excellent. It was rainy and steamy outside and it felt so good in that cool A/C! I forget our waitresses name, but she was excellent. She checked in regularly and brought me another soda when she saw I was running low. I consider myself a BBQ snob. I like to BBQ low and slow when time permits so I'm familiar with good BBQ. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. EVERYTHING is good. My favs fried green tomatoes, greens (drained well), Mack n cheese, and corn bread. I could literally have a meal just from their sides. All the meat is phenomenal and serving sizes are good. I usually get the brisket(slightly wet). Another great option is the 3 meat meal, 2 sides and cornbread. Very affordable. This is some of the most amazing barbecue that I have had in a good long time and I've had plenty. The brisket is sliced thick the ribs fall off the bones. The pork is tender and juicy. The chopped pork sandwich had fat & gristle chopped up with the pork. They were out of fries (at 11:27 am???) And she asked if I wanted onion rings instead so I said ok hesitantly. They then charged me 1.50 more- I wanted fries it wasn't my fault they were out. My husband had the rib lunch. It came with two ribs and he picked slaw & beans. The beans were just like they were out of the can but the slaw was good. The ribs were just ok The clencher was we waited for 45 mins and I asked where our food was as people who came after us received their food. The waitress went back & looked along with two other people. They'd lost our order and had to have us tell her again what we wanted. They were not that busy at the time. It is never fair for me to write a review about a barbeque restaurant. I judge KCBS sanctioned contests and have been fortunate enough to taste some of the very best food. That said we needed a place to have lunch and stopped at I Barbque Express. We found a spot in their very crowded parking lot and went inside where there a few tables available. A friendly server took our order and before long we had tall refreshing drinks and plates full of food in front of us. I had a plate of chopped pork and my wife had the brisket. The meats were served with out sauce. They were cooked well and tasty. Four sauces were on the table and they were excellent. I was enjoying the spicy mustard sauce and wondering why I don't get this in competition. Potato salad was different than I am used to. Corn bread was excellent. It was a very enjoyable lunch. My Dad and I we're passing through and saw this BBQ Restaurant. We decided to stop and try the food out. We both got the 2 meat combo and all I can say is the food was absolutely delicious! Ribs were tender and juicy, the sausage had excellent spices, great fries and onion rings!! Everyone was so nice especially the owners son!! My wife and I were hungry for some barbecue just before the hurricane Nicole came in the next day and found most places closing early, but not here. Thankfully, they were happy to see su, although they were out of pulled pork, they did have chopped brisket, which was very good, and even better with their medium sauce added. The two meat plate included the brisket, 2 large ribs, along with two sides. We ordered an additional side and found that this combination was ample amount of food for both of us. We could not even have dessert since the food portion was good. The owner came by us half way through our meal to insure we were satisfied. Nice touch. Without a doubt the best family owned BBQ in the area. I'm truly a BBQ eating fool, some would say just a fool, ...... and IBE have been perfecting their techniques and recipes for a long time and I'd say that they're there. The brisket is absolutely amazing having been kissed with just the right amount of smoke and the texture of the meat is spot on, as is the heavily peppered seasoning that coats your palate. The ribs have a nice mouth feel, the meat "almost" pulls off the bone, just a personal preference of mine. The sides are delightful as well. The Mac and cheese, collard greens, fried tomatoes, black eyed peas, baked beans are all good. Make sure to try the different sauces, I personally like the mustard, but if you enjoy heat ask for the sweet & spicy, you'll enjoy the spice level. I know it's a BBQ restaurant but they also have other prepared proteins, fried fish, pork chops and superb smoked sausages. Every time we have been here, the food has been absolutely delicious! My husband and I usually get brisket, ribs, and pork. It is so moist, tender, and flavorful. I was out of town for work and craving some bbq. I sis a quick search on my map navigator and found a few places. Then I ran to Yelp to see pics and reviews. You always check Yelp before you choose a place lol I decided this one was worth a try. Inside was very home-ish so you don't have to worry about putting on your good clothes which I liked because I felt like it was going to be some good home cooking. The staff were nice and answered my questions and I ordered based off their recommendations for a few things. I ended up getting a 2 meat combo your meal comes with 2 sides and corn bread which I opted for bake beans and Mac and cheese. I also added a side of greens because I wanted to review a few things. For dessert I went with the staff recommendation of peach cobbler (over my initial thought of sweet potato pie). I ordered my meal to go and paid about $40 including tip which I thought was quite expensive but I told myself it would left overs for me since I don't usually eat all my food ever. This did not happen. I feel like portion size compared to price is not comparable. The ribs I got 2 ribs in my order, I was happy with the size of the ribs and they were tender but still held together when you picked them up and I like that. My second choice was brisket and this was my least favorite of the option I got. I got 2 slices of brisket which were thin slices and the meat was not tender like the ribs. They were very dry and tough, almost like beef jerky. The bbq sauce I did like I opted for sweet which was a nice flavor. The mac was cheesy but I feel like needed some "flavor" maybe some seasonings or something. The beans were good but not something I felt I needed to get in a future visit. The greens were my favorite out of the sides. They had great flavor and a little spice but not too much just how I like them. The greens and beans were very juicy so just be careful when getting it to go while you are in the car driving. Dessert of peach cobbler was just ok. It wasn't the cobbler I was used to as the crust on the cobbler appeared to be just regular pie crust which I'm used to more doughy peach cobbler. It wasn't super sweet and I felt like maybe some more vanilla flavor wouldn't hurt and I did heat up the cobbler when I got to my hotel since it was room temperature. Was treated to this spectacular hideaway restaurant. First the staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a place where you can get good southern home cooking. It is worth the drive and you will not be disappointed. The food portions were comparable for value of you money. We had the three meat combo and a two meat combo. The food had me rolling my eye and sucking my fingers. I have experienced what on the food shows, where the food critics talk about feeling, smelling and tasting. You have all the senses working. We had center cut ribs, chicken, sliced brisket. Backed beans, potato salad,macaroni and cheese, fried green tomatoes and fried okra and sweet potatoes pie. This family business is AWESOME!! During the end of October, they did a GIVE BACT TO THE COMMUNITY. They feed over 600 dinner and drinks for free. Also had musical entertainment. You can look the event up on Facebook . We were looking for some soul food bbq this place was recommended we ate the brisket greens and Mac n cheese we absolutely loved it we met the owners gave them so much praise on how great the food was it was so good we went back 2 -3 times after that it had been a while since we had been back but the very last time we went we sat and waited to order for a while finally we ordered when we received our food the portions looked way smaller the Mac n cheese was different the meat was dry and the greens definitely DIDNT taste the same then we got our bill! We were driving by and thought we would stop for dinner, so glad we did! Fist off the place was extremely clean and the staff are very welcoming letting us know we could sit anywhere. Our waiter Casey was very attentive with us as I kept adding to our order. The food was amazing we had the brisket it was so tender and had a great flavor. Wifey poo and I visited this place for the first time and we were throughly impressed. Our dinners were the brisket and the chopped pork. Both were well prepared...moist and well seasoned. For me, a mixture of mustard based and hot took the taste to the next level, delicious! The sides were tasty as well. My collard greens were truly down home and rivaled my wife's batches (don't tell her I said that ). The next thing is consistency which means we have to go back SEVERAL times (for research purposes alone) oh darn! The things we do. Oh well, somebody has to sacrifice for the good of the masses. I was working with the Chief Operating Officer of my Company. We were visiting clients in the area. We have both passed this spot on multiple occasions without time to stop. Oh my goodness we had the time on Thursday and we were not at all disappointed!!! Greeted with all smiles , service was amazing and the BBQ is some of the best we have had in a long while. We are from Alabama and Georgia respectively and we know amazing BBQ when we have it. I had the chopped pork sandwich with a side of green beans and Mac and Cheese. All delicious! The choices / range of BBQ sauce was also a delight. He had the three meat lunch platter and that was enough for three more people. I am so impressed with I Barbque that I just had to share. FYI the Ladies Bathroom was immaculate (which for us gals is super important) and the entire experience was overall fantastic!
