I've been in here a few times. It's a little out of my way as it is south of town. The food is good. The price is very fair for the portions. The best deal is the buffet. It is really a taste of the Golden Corral we used to have in town. I agree with one of the reviewers that stated some of the food lacks taste. It is fresh and it has great texture. Maybe add some salt? I'm no chef. But my taste buds aren't broke. However, the meatloaf, meatballs and turkey were very tasty. I'm not sure why more people don't dine here more often. It's just home cooking. Healthy home cooking. The service is excellent. There is a menu and maybe that is where the flavor is, I have never ordered from it. Maybe in the future? We stopped here on our way home from Disney around 1130am on Saturday. It was a little out of the way but worth it. The place is located in a plaza shopping center. We were greeted by a nice and friendly staff. We were offered a menu or the breAkfast buffet. They are open until 1pm. We decided to do the Buffett. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items on the buffet and everything we tried was good and fresh tasting. The waitress offered to make us eggs any way we likes since only scrambles were on the buffet. We also requested toast instead of the biscuits. It was $7.95 per person and our 3 yr old ate free. This was a great stop. We got a variety of fresh and hot breakfast foods at a fraction of what we were paying at Disney or other chain restaurants. We will visit here again. read more

Real breakfast food, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pork chops, country fried steak, and lots more. One thing missing was grits, I assume because the clientele tends to be more northern. The scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked, but they offer to cook eggs on the grill any style, and I would recommend doing that. The service was enthusiastic and friendly, though a bit disorganized. But the atmosphere is great. Family feeling runs high, clearly there is a lot of love to go around. If you want comfort food with a real, honest family atmosphere, you will find it here. I eat here every week with my Dad. We would definitely be called "regulars" for sure. I like their food and the service is always friendly. It's one of those place that is definitely a local joint and they do a good job of making everyone feel at home. I'm not a fan of buffets and would never eat it but that is just me. Working in the restaurant field as a GM for over 17 years I just can't bring myself to ever do it. My dad gets it all the time here and majority of the time he bitches about it and I always tell him to have something fresh made. I guess his biggest complaint is the lack of flavor on the items that are offered. My food is always good. Haha!! During lunch it can get pretty busy so finding a table can be tough. I sat for a weekend breakfast buffet, nearly 45 min after opening but lids still covered everything... no big deal, till I picked up the lid and dropped it as it was around lava-stage heat! Using my table napkin, I took the lids off my breakfast, only to have a guy come out of the kitchen and remove the lids :0(. Unfortunately, HP is the same ol stuff like razor thin supplier bacon, burnt potatoes from a supplier bag. Stopped in the other night. This is a family owned little diner in a strip mall on Hwy 27. It is decorated with family photos. It seems very clean and caters to a local crowd. They have a limited evening menu but a nice selection. During the day they are set up for a buffet. They offer a breakfast buffet all day on the weekends. We will go try it soon. My husband ordered country fried steak. The menu said it came with 2 sides. They don't have them listed but the server told us what they were. We were pleasantly surprised to find the salad bar was also included. It was fresh. The servings were large and well cooked. I ordered the 10 oz sirloin and was served 2 slices of what were grilled cube steak but it was good. At the end of the meal the server offered us warm apple cobbler and ice cream that was also included but not noted on the menu. So in the end we received a large meal with 2 sides, the salad bar and dessert for about $10.00 each. We will be back. If you are looking for a small family run diner, this is the place.
