This little diner in a strip mall near the Villages offers good diner food, breakfast and lunch, at reasonable prices. They even have outdoor seating. The coffee and food was good. The servers were excellent. But there were so many flies while we were there... I saw at least four at one time. Made me lose my appetite. Maybe this isn't a regular issue, but I don't know, and I won't go back to find out. read more

We've seen this restaurant a few times and finally tried it. We're so glad we did!! Our first visit was for lunch and the second was breakfast. Both meals were delicious! It took us a few minutes to decide as they have a very nice variety of meals to choose from. We had a cheeseburger and country fried chicken sandwich for lunch. The burger was especially good. For breakfast, we each had an omelette. A ham and cheese and a chili cheese. Fresh ingredients and served hot! The place itself is very clean and the staff is great. I came in a bit after 1 pm. Diner full at this time. Was a bit cold for my liking, so they made it 72 degrees for me. Everyone left by about 2:15. They close at 3:00 Ordered the veggie omelette. Extremely light and fluffy, veggies were fresh, potatoes nice and hot, and omelette too. Nice rye bread with butter. Good endless coffee. Ordered a pancake as an extra. Thought at first that I was overcharged, but raspberry topping was an extra. Clean environment. Seems popular. read more

We have eaten in several of the local Darrell's, twice this week in fact, but we were disappointed in our recent visit to the Summerfield location, store #6. Darrell's touts physical distancing, extra cleaning and disinfecting and staff wearing masks. During our visit on 9/23, there were 3 wait staff and 1 cook. 2 of the wait staff had their masks under their chins. Never once did they place the masks up over their mouth and nose, not even when approaching the customers. The cook in the kitchen did not have a mask from what I could see. During our visit a second cook came on duty. No mask at all. One waitress was very conscientious and wore her mask continually. Thankfully there are quite a few Darrell's in our area, because I will not be back to this location. read more

Went this morning because of reviews on Facebook. Was not disappointed at all! Biscuits and gravy were yummy! Best we have had in this area! Pretty basic fare. I had the hash and asked to have it cooked more than usual to help cook out some of the grease. This did not happen. Hash browns were on par with the frozen variety. The toast and coffee were good but I think with tip I paid like 12 dollars for a mediocre breakfast. read more

I had a problem yesterday with my B of A debit card. I have handled the card issue with b of a, however the main issue is I gave another debit card from Wells Fargo from my company, the young lady came back and said it would not work either. Needless to say for 7 dollars and change I was quite embarrassed. I have money for emergencies in my wallet and I gave her a $100.00 bill. After several minutes she returned with change and I left, again feeling very embarrassed and enraged at two banks now thinking my identity had been compromised. The first card a block put on my account without notification from the bank. I don't think they will do that again. Second my business debit card was never run at the restaurant per Wells Fargo there were no issues with that card, If they had run that card I wouldn't have wasted all morning dealing with banks for 7 bucks. read more
