Today was far from the norm. Service and kitchen was slow. Ordered pancakes and they were cold. Would have sent them back but we had an appointment to get to. Asked for water in addition to our coffee and had to ask again when food arrived. Server never checked back to make sure all was okay. Watched her spend a lot of time chatting with the guy at the front desk. We usually leave a cash tip of at least 20%, not today. Our experience was "it was ok" Not great, not terrible. We went in for a late breakfast on a Thursday. Service was good. Husband had Eggs Benedict with salmon & fruit. It was a pretty tiny portion and was not helped by being on a huge plate. The eggs were mediums not larges. I had the healthy Turkey Omelette with egg whites. It was just ok. My elderly mom ordered one multitgrain pancake with blueberries. But you could exchange blueberries for bananas or chocolate chips as well. We like that you can order one pancake if you have a smaller appetite, which is great for the budget, too! I got the coconut milk chia seed pudding with fresh bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and granola. It was so yummy!! We also got coffee but they also serve a variety of brunchy cocktails. Had the terrible misfortune of discovering a piece of mulch in the Market Veggie sandwich I ordered. Upon contacting the company, it is very disappointing that the company has not followed up with me as to how this ended up in my food? It is very fortunate, the mulch was discovered before I ate the whole piece of it. The waitress tried to explain that it was pull pork, which is really not good, as I do not eat pork! Upon further investigation after getting the mulch home (and dried out) it is obviously mulch! Shame on First Watch for treating your customer with such disregard for your customer's well-being!!! We loved our meal so much!! The specials looked so good it was hard to decide what juice to get, so our server gladly brought me a generous sample of each. We were greeted warmly, smiling face and opened door by the hostess. We had never been here before and were visiting family in The Villages. We tried it and we liked it! Great ambiance! The coffee was delicious and so was our food. We liked that they poured our coffee and left us the carafe for refills. Each table had their own carafe. We mentioned the coffee to our waitress and she explained that the restaurant purchased a coffee plantation in Columbia so it was their own coffee. Medium roasted and delicious. We enjoyed the flavor. Not bitter or harsh like some others. We had a tough time deciding what to order. We were able to take our time, so many items sounded delicious, we wanted to try at least ten different things each. Our waitress, Dawn didn't rush us but was very conscientious of our presence and didn't ignore us either. We settled on the lemon ricotta pancakes, power quinoa bowl and a Parma skillet. And we were not disappointed. There were two pancakes that were huge, light and fluffy with lemon custard ricotta and strawberries on top. The power bowl was delicious with roasted mushrooms, roasted red peppers and sausage, it was served with two eggs but I opted to get the artisan toast instead of eggs which was served with fresh strawberry preserves, so good. The skillet had sausage which was delicious, full of flavor, very juicy, it had eggs on top, that were perfectly cooked, the roasted red peppers were very sweet and full of flavor. The only downside was having to pay at the register. There is only one check out and a huge line to pay. We arrived early ish, about 8:45 and were promptly seated, but when we leaving there was a big wait, which is not a bad thing. Enjoy! read more

Despite being busy when we arrived on the two mornings we ate there (on a Saturday and a Sunday) there was not much of a wait for a table or the food to arrive. We have tried this place twice now. Both times, OE eggs came out raw on my order. The food just isn't the same as other First Watches. We love the one in Ocala, at least they know how to cook eggs. Management here should take a lesson from other First Watches. read more
