I have come to this Thai restaurant at least 3 or 4 times and have never been disappointed. This past weekend, my family of 4 came for lunch. Everyone in our table found the food tasty and delicious starting with the appetizer mee krob and crab Rangoon. We had drunken noodles, pad Thai with duck, pad woonsen with duck and the soft shell crab. All servings were more than generous so much so that each one of us had leftovers to take home. Service was prompt and quick. I like that the servers were team tagging on our table despite the fact that there were other occupied tables (probably half a dozen) with 3 or 4 diners. It was not a very busy Saturday lunchtime though diners were coming in and out. But I've been here on weekdays and the place could get loud. Prices are fair. This is definitely one of the better Thai restaurants in Ocala. All 4 of us decided that we'll come back to taste the other interesting offerings in their menu. The food was hit and miss. The things that were really good, like the house fried rice, and summer rolls. The other things we tried were just okay, general Tsos chicken was not spicy, cashew chicken was salty, and sweet and sour was dry. Thai food that's just ok. I wish there was a Thai place that captures the exciting vibrant flavors of actual Thai food. Seems like they "dumb down" the seasonings for the Ocala taste buds which is a shame. Red curry did not taste like a house made curry paste. Mussels special appetizer was also lacking in TASTE. I don't know what has happened to this place. we have ordered from it many times. Ordered Pad See Ew everytime. The nooddles were different , replaced and inedible. Literally like overcooked pasta noodles. Yuck I could not even eat it and gave it to my dog. If you do not have the right ingredients to make a dish just tell people you are out of it . We were able to tell the waitress that we need to travel back to Tampa and like to get the meal quick. The promise were delivered without much wait. I got the crab fried rice. It come with soup. The entree have crab meat in the rice and fried soft shell crab on top. The quantity is good for a hungry person. My friend got the vegetarian dish, grouper fried rice, chicken pad Thai. This was the best Thai restaurant we've been to since we moved to Florida only to run only 2nd to our favorite Thai restaurant in California called Bai Plu. The dishes are out of this world here at Ayuttaya Thai. I'll probably bring my own Prik nam plah though. No one in Florida knows how to make the perfect Prik nam plah. Anyway, the service was phenomenal. The people are very nice. They have a variety of dishes that are very authentic unlike Ruby Thai in The Villages. The restaurant is cozy and it is somewhat quiet. Although I would expect a louder atmosphere since it is Asian. I suggest their soft shell fried rice. Oh and if you're from California, the spring rolls here in Florida are fried not fresh like California's spring rolls. If you want the soft spring rolls they are called fresh rolls. Try this place! You get a very warm greeting when you walk in. The restaurant smells amazing, which is always a very good sign. It's located in a strip mall near Earth fare between Sarah Fais gluten-free bakery and Kotobuki. There's plenty of seating for any size party you'd like to have they have more parking in the back. I love me a good Pad Thai, and I love fresh rolls. This place was just meh. The Pad Thai was over flooded with fish sauce, and was so sweet that we could not really eat it. The fresh rolls were ok, and their wonton soup had nice wontons and ginger, but the broth was again, overly fishy. The table was a bit sticky, and the service, was at best a C+. Speaking of heat, they are willing to do Thai hot, which I usually order, but the Thai beef salad was delicious at medium hot. It was cool, crunchy and full of spicy flavor, the spring rolls were more like egg rolls, but still good. The server was pleasant and I overheard the couple at the next table telling her how delicious the curries they had ordered were. On a whim, we decided to check out ATC while in the area. In the end, I'm glad we did! When we first arrived, the overwhelming smell of mothballs just about made me turn on my heels and walk out. I settled on my go-to dish that I use to judge quality and quantity - Thai yellow curry. WOW! For the special, I got my choice of soup or salad and my entree. I opted for the salad and it was exactly as I expected, good! The curry came out after we were finished with our salads. The temperature was perfect and timing was right. While it didn't have a substantial depth of flavor other places do, this was really good curry nonetheless. The portion size (and price) were phenomenal! Love decor inside but tends to be very cold when we have our dinner. Glad we came earlier before the rush. Have had great experiences with the food at Ayuttaya Thai. Their Pad Thai is excellent and fresh with good portions, but their curry is amazing! Have tried both the green curry and red curry and both are irresistibly good, could eat it endlessly! I'm not normally a fan of peanuts, but something about the combination of peanuts with savory Pad Thai or spicy red curry is just addictive. Also service was always very fast and professional. My only comment for improvement is that not all of the servers wore face masks, and there were frequently customers who walked in without wearing masks. The airflow in the restaurant is very low, so if you choose to eat in the restaurant you are definitely at risk of exposure from other maskless diners. read more

Saw the good ratings on Yelp and everything was spot on! Had the gyoza in curry and I wanted to lick the plate clean. Gyoza was fresh and light with a delicate crisp.
