Hibachi selections
Missi R.

Our group of five dined here for lunch, We were all impressed with the quality, variety, and freshness of the food. I enjoyed the hibachi, and the variety of options available. Meat, fish, vegetables, noodles, rice, eggs. And all ingredients were fresh. I loved the large chunks of Krab. There is truly something for everyone here. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The green beans and broccoli were slightly crisp. Sweet potatoes were tasty. There are so many options. Virtually every Chinese entrée and appetizer you can think of is here. Spring rolls and crab Rangoons are excellent. We enjoyed the baked salmon, seafood bake, General Tso's, fried rice, and other entrées. Even the one person in our group who wasn't especially fond of Chinese food was very happy with the baked macaroni and cheese, pizza, and other selections. He did enjoy the crab Rangoons and other appetizers too. Only one member of our group had room for dessert, and she sampled several items and enjoyed them. The food was kept fresh and containers were full. Everything was extremely clean: the food serving areas, dining tables, hibachi line, and even the restrooms. This is a very well run buffet and restaurant. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and variety of food.

After 2 years of living in Ocala, we finally made it here! Part of the reason was that every time we drove by, it has been packed! We never made it to their first location and it worked out because the current location is way closer to our home. We have visited here 2-3 times already so I'm surprised I did not review it yet. Our first visit was at lunch time on a Friday. It was so friggin busy! Our server was attentive and came by often. We were actually surprised regarding how vast and varied the buffet items were. There were a lot of American dishes like French fries and buffalo wings but I went for all the Asian items. OMG their sushi! They had an extensive sushi bar with 2 people constantly making new rolls. The other times we visited were for dinner but after 8pm in hopes to beat most of the crowds. One time was for my husband's birthday due to China Lee being the only restaurant open when a hurricane was coming through. The food was good every time we visited and we definitely ate way too much every time. The dishes are replenished often. They also have a hibachi counter but I think there might be an up charge for that? The prices are really reasonable and it looked clean & tidy every time we visited.

typically i'm sketched out by buffets, but this one was actually quite good! prices are fair and restaurant is clean! lots of workers were maintaining the buffet so I knew everything was fresh. I really enjoyed my hibachi!!! everyone in our party had a good experience as well! I would go back!

Hands down THE best Asian buffet! The sushi/sashimi section blew my mind. No exaggeration, utterly fresh food all around, awesome selection & delicous, very clean from top to bottom. Extremely friendly & attentive staff. Will most definitely be going back & ensure my friemda do as well.

Lots going on here. They had a variety of options ranging from Chinese food, sushi, veggies, dessert, and a hibachi -cook to order- grill. The food was just ok, exactly what you'd expect from a Chinese buffet. We went on Sunday night, it was very crowded and we waited 10 min in line to be seated. The staff were hard working making sure the food trays were full and plates cleared. They had booth seating. Wine and domestic beers averaged about $5 each.

A little bit of everything, noodles, rice, spare ribs, general taos chicken, crab rangoon, Chinese doughnuts, spinach wheels

China Lee Buffet is my favorite place for Chinese food. It's all you can eat and they literally have everything. You wont be disappointed and you WILL eat too much. The best part about them is getting it to-go. You walk in, grab a container, and fill it up with whatever you want. They charge per pound so you only pay for what you get. When you check out, you place your container on a scale and pay. I find this to be cheaper and better than typical Chinese restaurants because I can get a couple crab rangoons (which are fire), and sample a little bit of whatever else I want without having to pay for an entire portion of it. The restaurant is always clean and always busy. Highly recommended!

The only thing that earned this review its stars was the food itself. Me and my hubby booked a table for date night. We had high hopes as we love Brazilian steakhouses! Never had heard of this one, Exciting! When we arrived at 8, an hr before closing; we didn't have a long wait. We travel with a portable high chair as we prefer not to use in house ones. Noted in our reservation. As always, we place it on the table in a safe location as it is most beneficial for stability and functionality. The host came rushing back insisting that we needed to remove the chair as it puts our child in danger of the knife's that would be coming around, per the manager. It must be placed in a chair. I'm not one to swim against the current, so we tried to comply, however, this statement was obvious that it was a plain LIE. Truth be told, it "hurt the appearance" of the finer dining atmosphere. If the staff member would have just mentioned that nicely, we absolutely would have understood. But that did not happen. It was as if she was saying, "move it or leave". The biggest issue with moving it really came down to the round chairs. A square seat is not easily attach to its opposite shape. Leaving the seat and my baby in an unsafe and compromising position. Which in return, left my hubby sitting sideways the entire meal in an uncomfortable position. Using his leg to balance the chair to stay in place. (Swapping seats each time one of us needed to get up) During this time, our server came by to ask for drinks and we almost never saw her again. Both straws were cracked from top to bottom. We flipped our card over to begin meat service, though we were not noticed. After flagging one down, We kindly asked her to find our server for us. This came with a disgruntled face. She left before serving us, and the meat that she had never came back around again. This happened more than once. The first meat I received was the lamb chop. Just one left on the skewer. I took this one knowing more would follow. I WAS WRONG! We sat by the window where you could see the meat cooking and there were less than 10 skewers. The chicken lollipops and the bottom sirloin were fabulous. The flavor and tenderness were 10/10. But would never be seen again.. Pork once; at the very end. Overcooked and dry. Same with the bacon wrapped filet and the picanha. Never saw filet, sausage or any other meat that was listed on the menu. We had to ask for more meat to be brought to us and what we received had been cooked to death. The hot and cold salad bar options were great! Once our server was finally tracked down, we asked for refills on our beverages and working straws, though no luck on the straws. They were all broken. It even cut my tongue. I requested she bring my husband two glasses of his drink this time, because he is a fast drinker, and we weren't sure when we would see her again. Thank goodness I did; Because he would have never had another drink if it wasn't for that... Before we had even finished eating, she brought the bill. We ignored it and continued our conversation, but sometime minutes later she retrieved the bill that was not yet ready. Moments later, she came rushing back frantic that she had lost our card... Finally after all this, I gave her with the card before I even had looked over the bill. The bill was higher than any steakhouse we've visited like it. Despite having the worst service. We ordered nothing other than a fountain drink each with our meal. We STILL left a large gratuity knowing tips are shared. Side note, no plates have been picked up, and are stacked up to the side... I wanted a ToGo drink, but once our bill had been rendered. We never saw our server again. I flagged down another staff member and made the request to them, (Usw tea) and was served a Sw tea. I am unable to have sugar and this was a shock when I took a sip. I immediately notified her of the mistake, not even 10 seconds after it being delivered, and she went to correct it. She came right back to tell me that the tea had been dumped for the night. WE ARE STILL EATING AND THERE ARE MULTIPLE TABLES EATING AROUND US IN THE DINING ROOM! I genuinely do not understand how this is allowed! The clock strikes closing and you treat your guests like they've overstayed their welcome?? Revoking their beverages and not cooking/providing the meat that your customers come to eat their fill of?! At this point we are seriously turned off! After leaving..OUR SERVER..the one who vanished after bringing our bill in the middle of dinner...is outside on the phone waiting for her ride. No wonder we never saw her again! She was going home! The amount of Unprofessionalism is off the charts! If it truly was a "finer dining experience"The standard of service needs immense improvement!

We live…read morein The Villages, unfortunately there just aren't any authentic ethnic restaurants in The Villages. There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.

Con's- Didn't like the fact that when placing an order online you're forced to tip. (I don't mind tipping but prefer to tip when I pick up my order) Upon walking in it didn't smell too good. I had to ask for condiments and utensils. (In my opinion if I've already tipped before picking up my togo order utensils should've definitely been packed. I understand that condiments shouldn't be in bag as some don't want/need them.) Pros - Food was good and flavorful. Portion size was mediocre and average. Maybe later we will go and try the dim sum but if the smell is there when we walk in we will walk right back out.
