Green Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Pad Thai

We ordered take out through Uber Eats. We ordered Pad Thai, Green Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. We requested 1 star for spiciness and they accommodated the request. The food was freshly prepared and tasted amazing.

I'd been fasting all day and decided to order from here since the reviews seemed pretty good. My order was delivered on time. Everything was good. My only issue is the Panang curry had so much bamboo and orange bell pepper and not much of anything else. The wonton soup had like 3 wontons and the rest was zucchini and broccoli. The beef salad is on point. Fried rice was one of the best I've had. The papaya salad was alright. I asked for mild spice and the spice level was correct. Usually when I ask for mild spice, it's more like med-high spice.

    Lad Nar Noodle

Lunch after a 34 mile bike ride on the Santos Trail Saturday Afternoon. Was looking for a healthy rice noodle Thai dish. This small take-out place in a service station plaza has a few tables. I ordered Lad Nar which is a real test of Thai dishes more so than Pad Thai because the chef must make a thick gravy sauce with multiple flavors. This dish was the best Thai dish I have eaten ever. Better than the best of Los Angeles 5 star restaurants. Best of Florida, Atlanta, New York, etc. Great spice level of modest heat for flavor. I spooned every bit of gravy. What a find.

    We ordered everything!

Delicious food. It's in a gas station and has very little room to eat there. Mostly takeout. But it rocks!

The food is great. More of a takeout place but they do have 3 tables if you want to stay.

We've been there twice. Excellent both times. Very small so not much seating. Be sure to get the steamed dumplings. The best.

We live…read morein The Villages, unfortunately there just aren't any authentic ethnic restaurants in The Villages. There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.

Con's- Didn't like the fact that when placing an order online you're forced to tip. (I don't mind tipping but prefer to tip when I pick up my order) Upon walking in it didn't smell too good. I had to ask for condiments and utensils. (In my opinion if I've already tipped before picking up my togo order utensils should've definitely been packed. I understand that condiments shouldn't be in bag as some don't want/need them.) Pros - Food was good and flavorful. Portion size was mediocre and average. Maybe later we will go and try the dim sum but if the smell is there when we walk in we will walk right back out.

However, this ramen was just as good, and I ate it right away. This was one of the best-tasting broths; I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu. The black garlic oil was smoky, rich, smooth, and lingering. It doesn't have that "garlic breath" bite, but it stays with you. The "umami bomb" profile sets it apart from standard varieties that only an authentic ramen place can do well. It was incredible! The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and the chashu was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth. I appreciated the separated noodles from the broth to preserve its texture. This place is a gem, and I wish there were places like this at home. The restaurant was clean, service was quick and friendly, and there was plenty of parking.

It's easily one of the best bowls in town! And every time I'm there, I have to get the Mango Sago for drink. Definitely one of my favorite ramen spots in the area.
