Strawberry fruit tea and taro milk tea with bubbles- yummy!!
Beth Ann M.

Haven't updated in awhile. I LOVE this place. It's the best Pho place I've found in the area and drive 30 minutes to get there. The owner is from California and really knows how to do it right. I'm from the DC area and when we moved here I was so sad that I couldn't find good Pho or bubble tea. This place has both. My go to is Pho with well done brisket and 2 of their crunchy spring rolls - Delicious! We've recently also started ordering the vermicelli bowls and they are amazing. They come with veg and a spring roll. Will definitely be back!

Chicken pho

Been coming here for years and after today I won't be back! Ordered chicken pho with extra green onions. Usually it is full of veggies, onions etc...Brings it out and has hardly any green onion in it, no veggies, broccoli or regular onion. I told him I asked for extra and I don't mind paying, he leaves comes back and says they told him NO because they are running low. Even when I offered to pay extra! So you're gonna charge me $20 for chicken broth, noodles and 8 single pieces of green onions?! They could have at least offered a different veggie to bulk up the pho since they're running low and that's not my fault.... Pathetic! If I had know you were rationing green onion or broccoli(veggies) I wouldn't have come. Aside from that bs the broth is really good and the chili oil as well. If I ever give it a second chance I'll call ahead to make sure they have what the soup comes with.

Bun Dac Biet

Honestly the best thing I've ever had and their combination pho comes second everything here is so good and refreshing omg all their teas and drinks SLAP this is THE best place I've ever been too and I hope they'll be able to expand and get bigger while still upholding that amazing food quality I fell in love with. When you dine inside you treated with complimentary water and a very quick waitress that checks on you regularly. All the food comes out FRESH and quickly who made my dish but I thank you it really taste like it was made from the heart Please keep it up the food here is absolutely amazing 100/10 stars

Cute little place for great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and so was the boba tea.

Grilled pork and spring roll bun noodle bowl.

Tried this per a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. Far better than any Vietnamese food we have in Gainesville, clean and pleasant restaurant (albeit small), and fast service. The bun (noodle dish, not like a bread bun) I had with grilled pork and a fried spring roll was through and through quite good--the pork was flavorful and not too fatty, the spring roll nice and crisp, the noodles were not soggy, and the salad part of it also fresh. No complaints at all and again, better than any I've had in Gainesville--only issue might be the menu is a little limited to mostly pho and bun, not a whole lot of different dishes. Still I highly recommend them.

Crab Rangoon and Chicken Pot Stickers

Stopped in for a quick bite and a break from driving. We ordered each of the appetizers: shrimp spring rolls, crab Rangoon, chicken pot stickers, and Cha Gio (Vietnamese fried egg roll). Each were quite delicious. Proved just enough for the two of us as a meal. Then back on the road.

Very tasty Vietnamese food. Get the pho with wonton and pork and don't forget the Crab Rangoons. Bother milk tea and fruit teas were spot on. The service was very quick and friendly. The ambiance is very cute and has plenty of parking.

Oh my god, I took a single bite and didn't speak to my friend for 15 minutes as I continued munching it down. It was amazing. The vermicelli comes underneath this mound of pork holy grail, and while I'm used to having my vermicelli with these bowls cold and a bit thinner, and there being significantly more noodles than meat ratio, I'm thrilled to say that not this bowl - this bowl was 60% pork, 30% noodle, and 10% veggie. I'm taking every bite with 2-3 pieces of pork. I'm soaking up the juices with the noodles. I'm crunching on a few cucumbers to balance it out. I'm savoring every piece. Absolutely wonderful. I'm so excited to go back and try every one of their dishes. The restaurant itself is small, located inside of a shared mini-food court place with a pasta-to-go restaurant and a boba tea shop, and has a really cute sitting area. There is a nice older lady who works the front/takes orders/delivers the food. Well worth trying to fight to find university parking just to eat here.

We live…read morein The Villages, unfortunately there just aren't any authentic ethnic restaurants in The Villages. There are wanna be Chinese restaurants in The Villages but the food is Chinese-American and I would not even eat there or recommend them. Yummy House in Ocala was actually referred to us by the owner of Square 1 Burgers in The Villages, another fantastic restaurant but that's another review. Yummy House offers a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, and they also offer Dim Sum on weekends. The first time my spouse and I went there, we couldn't believe the choices. We used to always drive to Peter's Kitchen in Orlando but it was over an hour to drive there for us. Ocala was much closer and to be quite honest just as good as the restaurant in Orlando. Every dish I've ordered there has been out of this world. Which makes it so hard for me to choose my entrée. I do have a favorite server at Yummy House. His name is Ming. So, when I dine at Yummy House, I always ask to be seated at Ming's area. I also golf in Ocala which friends, about 8 to 12 of us. After golf, we normally have lunch together too. So, Yummy House is at the top of the list for us. When we do, I call the restaurant ahead to make a reservation and ask them to assign Ming to us. Ming always provides excellent service and especially with me being Asian, he kind of knows what type of dish I like and when I order a dish he will normally make suggestions to add to the dish or cook a certain way that knows I would like. He also makes suggestions to each person in our group and sometimes he'll tell them to try a dish that he's sure they've never had before. He tries to take them out of their comfort zone. They've always been happy with his suggestion. The restaurant itself reminds me of some of the Chinese restaurants I've been to that is not a fast-food restaurant. Very authentic inside. They also offer a beer called Lucky Buddha. I think everyone likes to order the beef because the bottle is in the shape of Buddha. Yesterday, we met friends at Yummy House who are visiting from Boston. Unfortunately, Ming was off and another server took care of us. He was a good server but just not like Ming who really goes out of his way to talk to you, joke and laugh. However, he was not a bad server but he was just there to provide server and do his job. So, I cannot fault him for that. So overall the entire experience yesterday was good. I highly recommend Yummy House if you are near the Ocala area and are craving for authentic Chinese food.

Con's- Didn't like the fact that when placing an order online you're forced to tip. (I don't mind tipping but prefer to tip when I pick up my order) Upon walking in it didn't smell too good. I had to ask for condiments and utensils. (In my opinion if I've already tipped before picking up my togo order utensils should've definitely been packed. I understand that condiments shouldn't be in bag as some don't want/need them.) Pros - Food was good and flavorful. Portion size was mediocre and average. Maybe later we will go and try the dim sum but if the smell is there when we walk in we will walk right back out.

I didn't wait long, it took about 15 minutes and while I was there, I got to look around and noticed all the Korean products around the store. Once I got my food, I sat at the tables they have in a corner and got quite a bit of food. It's a good serving. After trying the Japchae, I understand now why this spot is so highly rated. The Japchae was well seasoned came with a lot of delicious veggies and a side of rice. If this spot was close by I would eat there on a weekly basis! Really great spot to check out when in Ocala.

Oh my gosh - this place is delicious and legit. My daughter got the Beef Combo Pho. It was her first time trying a combo with tripe in it. It was excellent. They give large portions and there was a lot of meat. We did take out and they give you all the side sauces and toppings you would expect. We live about 25 minutes away, but it was still warm when we got home. Their broth is really rich and flavorful. We also tried the Grilled Pork Vermicelli noodles with egg roll. I loved the grilled flavor in the pork. The meat was tender and the portions were generous. They also do boba here. My daughter had the strawberry fruit tea with black boba. She loved it but said their black boba was a bit hard (not as chewy as we're use to). I think this is either my new #1 or tied for #1.
