Surprisingly good Vietnamese pho! Had a craving, stopped in and got the pho to go. It was perfectly packaged. They included all the veggies. It was enough for two meals for me. The broth was so delicious. And it stayed hot and cooked the meat through when I got home. The rest of the menu looks pretty good. There was a table of four having dinner when I arrived. I stood at the bar and my food was ready in a reasonable time. You could call ahead if you know what you want. Parking out front or around back. Haven't updated in awhile. I LOVE this place. It's the best Pho place I've found in the area and drive 30 minutes to get there. The owner is from California and really knows how to do it right. I'm from the DC area and when we moved here I was so sad that I couldn't find good Pho or bubble tea. This place has both. My go to is Pho with well done brisket and 2 of their crunchy spring rolls - Delicious! We've recently also started ordering the vermicelli bowls and they are amazing. I've been coming here for almost 7 years before the other owner passed away and his wife sold the business. Food has always been good with one exception: The dumplings. I get the fried ones and they arrived not hot and dry/not edible for me. I usually get the seafood pho and the #14. Won't order the dumplings again. Not worth the pain. Also the noodles are portioned out a day or two before and you have to reheat the broth and pour it over and cover it for the noodles to come apart. The spring rolls are great! read more

Been coming here for years and after today I won't be back! Ordered chicken pho with extra green onions. Usually it is full of veggies, onions etc...Brings it out and has hardly any green onion in it, no veggies, broccoli or regular onion. I told him I asked for extra and I don't mind paying, he leaves comes back and says they told him NO because they are running low. Even when I offered to pay extra! So you're gonna charge me $20 for chicken broth, noodles and 8 single pieces of green onions?! They could have at least offered a different veggie to bulk up the pho since they're running low and that's not my fault.... Pathetic! If I had know you were rationing green onion or broccoli(veggies) I wouldn't have come. Aside from that bs the broth is really good and the chili oil as well. My wife and I are new to the area and keen on trying out new food options. After hours unpacking, we were famished and were looking for late lunch options. We had to drop off an Amazon package for return at the Staples nearby so we decided to try out AK Pho. It was a late lunch so the place had 3 occupied tables including us. I opted for my usual order for Vietnamese restaurants, vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and egg roll. My wife ordered the barbecued chicken with rice. We also ordered fried spring rolls as an appetizer. Service was quick and we were soon served the spring rolls which we found tasty. My wife thought her chicken was very tender and had good taste with the lemongrass flavor shining through. I felt my dish, while decent, was a bit lacking. The grilled pork lacked the char I've come to expect for this dish and I felt the cuts of meat a bit gristly. Honestly the best thing I've ever had and their combination pho comes second everything here is so good and refreshing omg all their teas and drinks SLAP this is THE best place I've ever been too and I hope they'll be able to expand and get bigger while still upholding that amazing food quality I fell in love with. Ocala has been missing a pho place for a very long time! I would say this place is definitely not the best pho place I've ever had but definitely a good try for Ocala! When I went on a Sunday for lunch it was somewhat busy but it seemed relatively family friendly and the service was quick. Tried this per a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. Far better than any Vietnamese food we have in Gainesville, clean and pleasant restaurant (albeit small), and fast service. The bun (noodle dish, not like a bread bun) I had with grilled pork and a fried spring roll was through and through quite good--the pork was flavorful and not too fatty, the spring roll nice and crisp, the noodles were not soggy, and the salad part of it also fresh. No complaints at all and again, better than any I've had in Gainesville--only issue might be the menu is a little limited to mostly pho and bun, not a whole lot of different dishes. We ordered P3 and Crab Rangoon - despite the waitress having somewhat an issue with getting our order in and tables sat after us getting their orders before us - when we did get ours very nice presentation as well as taste. The flavor of the Beef Pho broth was the best I've ever had. It was amazingly seasoned and probably could raise the dead it was so healthy and full-filling. Needless to say, I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. It is good pho when you leave content, with a bit of sweat because you've been working so hard on chowing down that delicious skinny noodle. I really enjoyed the food, the service, and the drinks. I had the beef brisket well done, and hubby had the spicy beef ball. We both agreed that the well done briskets are better, but maybe give it the spicy version a go if you're into that kind of head numbing spice. Make no mistake, this is one of the most legitimate pho places I have visited. The ingredients were fresh,The portions were decent, and we were able to finish our food there. Reminded me of some good pho spots in L.A., and that nostalgia is hard to come by on certain days. This Vietnamese noodle restaurant has been open opened since last Thursday, how many times have we read, well it's new, be pa, they have to learn the ropes..... no way here, they have it down! Very impressed with the service, the menu, the food, the cleanliness of the restaurant! I watched 4 or 5 tables vacated, they were almost immediately cleared and wiped down, I believe the 2 people I saw doing the up front work were the owners, but even if not, they worked well together, were helpful, informative, knowledgeable and had an obvious pride in the restaurant and their work ethic! All that being said, I ordered the Combination #12. Pork, shrimp, chicken and dumpling noodle soup. It was piping hot and was served with a small plate on the side. That had parsley, sprouts, jalapeño (I think) slices, lemon... wasn't quite sure what to do with it! I think they were add ones to the soup, that would make sense but I'm not crazy about any of them so they sat! There were condiments on the table, tried a little soy sauce and hoisin sauce, but stayed away from the hot and spicy. The soup was good, but I wanted something, not spicy but earthy in it! I had a chance to sample the fare at Ak Pho recently, and I was delighted in the flavors that came out of this restaurant. It was lunchtime and my mother and I had just finished up with a medical appointment, and it was time for some food. We got an order of the summer rolls as an appetizer, then I got the beef pho while my mother got the meatball. The summer rolls were quite good, and we finished those off. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl of pho, but my mother wasn't quite able to finish hers at this sitting... not to worry, it was good later on for left overs and the proprietors were happy to create a doggy bag for us.
