Paris boba tea
Rose O.

We came in on a rainy day and no one else was here besides us. Since it was our first time dining here, we ordered through the self ordering kiosk to better see the images of the items we want. I ordered a beef pho (~$14) and requested extra meat for an upcharge (~$2.5). I also ordered Paris milk tea special with boba. We got the food at a reasonable amonut of time. However eventhough I asked for extra meat still it felt like there isn't enogh meat even for a regular order. Since it was my first time here I wasn't sure if that's how much they serve in each portion. Besides that both pho and the drink were delicious and I really enjoyed the flavors. We came in after a month and this time ordered a pate bahn mi and a Ramen. The orderd was delayed and we got the ramen first then after 15 minutes got the Ramen. We'd rather have both of them at the same time to eat together. They were both delicious but Ramen had much smaller portion compared to their Pho. So if you are really humgry pho might be a better option. We came in for the third time, again ordered pho and bahn mi. Again the order was delayed and came at a different time. So one us was eating and the other one watching! This time I didn't ask for extra meat but somehow I got more meat that the first time I asked for it. Also the vahn mi didnt taste as fresh as last time. The pate was alittle bit stinky. While I like this restaurant a lot but the lack of consistency and order management makes me give them 3 stars.

B5 - Pate and Pork Roll
Alex L.

A really cute bakery in Gainesville with a wide selection of Banh Mi, baked goods, deserts, teas/coffees as well as Vietnamese snacks. I got the B5 and thought it was delicious. Good value, generous serving and it came quick. The baguette was warm and soft on the inside but toasty and crispy crust (but not too crispy, where it leaves your mouth chapped!). The filling was a littler sweeter than what I'm used to, but tasty nonetheless. I got the sea salt coffee at the recommendation of the owner, which was also tasty. Got my caffeine kick in a sweet, thick, creamy form (don't worry, it doesn't taste salty). The drinks here were pretty large.

Tons of choices!

This would be a spot I could live at if I lived anywhere near UF! Located directly across from the campus in the bottom floor of an apartment complex, this place was a jewel to find. My kids were excited just to see a boba tea spot so close to our hotel. We walk in, & I am doubly excited to see all the Vietnamese flavors offered in the convenient style ala hoagie shop. They offer counters full of Asian snacks and some local pastries along side a pork bánh mi! Service was very friendly. Bathrooms and cafe are clean, spacious, and bright. We only ordered boba teas this time, and they were beautifully made and delicious! Only wish there was a way to be little more earth friendly with these drinks! The cups are really high quality here, so I wish we could reuse these. We bring our own straws to save the turtles, but surely we can do more.

Great and friendly service. Surprised they've only been open a year considering. I had the munchies and stopped by with my bf . I tried the potato dog and the red velvet cheesecake. The cheesecake was creamy and moist , a little dense. The Korean corn dog was amazing and came out hot. They give you what seems to be a half sweet sour half sriracha Mayo sauce. The potatoes on it were perfectly crunchy and I was scared that the potatoes would be too crunchy considering how tiny they are on the dog but they fried it perfectly . The place is on university ave which I don't pass often but would just to try their Banh mi next time.

Nice and roomy seating indoors.

After many weeks of hearing great things about this place, I KNEW I had to come visit another great Vietnamese restaurant! I've visited two times already before this review, and both visits were amazing! Right off the bat, the interior was bright and roomy. We didn't have to wait long at all, as the food and drinks came out super fast. Both times, I got the usual -- the Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (grilled pork) and a Peach Black Tea with boba! The sandwich was so yummy, and the meat was juicy and warm while the baguette was perfectly crispy and light. The tea was super refreshing and paired along quite nicely with the sandwich! Overall a great experience and I cannot wait to make many more visits to this place!

Half potato, half mozzarella.

Paris Banh Mi will always have a special place in my heart. I was very happy to see that Gainesville had a location since the one in my previous town closed. Paris Banh Mi is located in the heart of downtown near UF and parking is a pain but for their Banh Mi? Totally worth the hassle. Parking at Publix is your best bet. My go to here is always the grilled pork banh mi, extra mayo, extra soy sauce, extra sour veggies, extra cilantro. The pork is so flavorful and they are not selfish with the servings. The bread is warm, the sour veggies adds a nice texture, and that mayo? It's amazing. Their boba tea is also very delicious and this location has hot dogs! I tried the half potato and half mozzarella and it was bit dry. Next time I'll add sauce on it but the concept is dope and it's very crunchy. I have never been to a Paris Banh Mi where the owners and staff isn't kind. This location was no different. I highly recommend this place.

First time trying this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I ordered the grilled pork Banh Mi and it was pretty big, and super filling. I ordered the mango slush with boba, but the drink separated pretty quickly so I'd recommend just getting milk tea. The sandwich was delicious and I would definitely come here again!!

Pho

I absolutely love this place. The Banh Mi here is amazing and has a wide selection. Boba drinks are also very great with chewy tapioca boba the way I like it. Pastries and Snacks are also available with some great dessert options in the cake display. They now also serve noodles and I had to try the Pho which was amazing. Workers here are very friendly and service is very quick. Overall, with the proximity to campus and wide selection of all the available items, I come here all the time and it's always a pleasant experience!

bakery area!

I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and was thoroughly satisfied. The banh mi was at least 8-9 inches long, I only wish there was a little more pickled radish & carrots. Other than that, I was super happy that the banh mi was made hot and fresh, and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned :)

I decided to try Paris Banh Mi today, and I was incredibly pleased. The customer service was great, with friendly staff members to greet you. The options seem plentiful from Vietnamese sandwiches, burgers, Boba tea, bakery items, and dessert. The prices are also very reasonable as well. I decided to order the Pate Steamed Pork (Banh Mi Pate Thit Do). I was incredibly satisfied with the portion size, and taste of the sandwich. The ingredients tasted very fresh, and the flavor was incredibly rich. In terms of price point, the price was comparable to Publix subs. I would hands down prefer to order another sandwich from here! I went during intersession, so the restaurant was empty. I also know that it recently opened. I hope to see more people try out Paris Banh Mi. You can't go wrong here. The food seems to be of great quality, and the prices are very reasonable. There a couple of Vietnamese Pho restaurants within a 10 minute radius, however, Paris Banh Mi fills a void through offering sandwiches and bakery options which campus has been lacking. I'd strongly recommend checking out Paris Banh, and will definitely be back.

Tea menu - so many options- prices are for cash, there is a small % extra if you pay by card.

Pretty good banh mi's and boba tea in a chill, cafe atmosphere. Can be hard to find parking, though.

The banh mi was delicious. Such a unique fusion of French and Asian tastes. I also had the peach tea, and ended up ordering a second one.

Oh my god, I took a single bite and didn't speak to my friend for 15 minutes as I continued munching it down. It was amazing. The vermicelli comes underneath this mound of pork holy grail, and while I'm used to having my vermicelli with these bowls cold and a bit thinner, and there being significantly more noodles than meat ratio, I'm thrilled to say that not this bowl - this bowl was 60% pork, 30% noodle, and 10% veggie. I'm taking every bite with 2-3 pieces of pork. I'm soaking up the juices with the noodles. I'm crunching on a few cucumbers to balance it out. I'm savoring every piece. Absolutely wonderful. I'm so excited to go back and try every one of their dishes. The restaurant itself is small, located inside of a shared mini-food court place with a pasta-to-go restaurant and a boba tea shop, and has a really cute sitting area. There is a nice older lady who works the front/takes orders/delivers the food. Well worth trying to fight to find university parking just to eat here.

It's a decent size and it was clean and most of its customers on a Sunday at lunchtime were Asian. Our servers were two young men and they were very attentive. We had the Vietnamese crepes (our favorites) that came with two smaller ones (instead of a large). The crepes were a bit thin and skimpy on the shrimp (lots of bean sprouts and maybe one shrimp cut in half in each crepe). My husband had beef pho, wish he said was tasty but lacking a decent amount of beef and tendon. I had the bun cha (rice vermicelli) with pork and fried spring rolls. The rolls were not tasty. And my dish had two small slices of pork and so many noodles I brought home a container of noodles and veggies (after scarfing down my two pieces of meat). Being from South Florida, and having travelled to Vietnam last spring, we have eaten lots of Vietnamese food. While the food was not bad, it could have been better by starting with heartier portions for the price. Lunch for 2 was about $50 including tax and tip. P.S. The fish tank was clean and very engaging!

The boa buns were soft, the pork was cooked perfectly, and the hoisin sauce at the bottom of the bun was amazing. There were vegetables on top, including cucumbers that tasted sweet and carrots. The vegetables were fresh and tasted great with everything else. We also ordered the crab Rangoon which I personally really liked. I don't like fish, and this crab Rangoon must have had a large amount of cream cheese base. I personally really enjoyed it since the crab wasn't very prominent. The filling was creamy, the Rangoon was crunchy, and the sweet and spicy sauce it came with made a perfect combo. For our meal, we ordered the chicken pad Thai. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet our expectations. The pad Thai was sitting on top of a sauce at the bottom, which tasted like a hoisin sauce base. The taste was very minimal, which was disappointing. The noodles were soft, almost like they were overcooked. The chicken was cooked well and lightly seasoned (which worked perfectly for the pad Thai). The vegetables on top of the pad Thai were also very fresh and you could tell they were freshly cut. The lack of peanut/pad thai taste was the most disappointing part that unfortunately lost it for us. The service was good. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and were able to select our own table. The inside is decently small, with around 8 tables.

After a little wandering around we found liquid ginger. The line wasn't too long inside, so we decided we would try it. They were swamped and very busy still, but the staff was doing their best to accommodate everyone. We waited in a short line for maybe 15min before reaching the hostesses table. We were lucky to get seats at the sushi bar! The interior is very nice and has a nice vibe. This place is really great for nice dinners, nights out, or a good dinner. Service was definitely off that night. Our water specifically seemed to forget about the group of us since we were seated at the sushi bar. It took her 15 to get us waters and our other drinks didn't even come out until after we got out food (a considerable time later). Like I said it was busy, the sushi bar was swamped with orders, but they were working diligently to keep up with the influx of orders. Most of us ordered sushi, so we ended up waiting a considerable amount of time for our meals. My one friend ordered an entree from the kitchen and it came out within 10 minutes of her ordering it. Our sushi was served about 20-30 minutes after her dish. This is frustrating and slightly awkward as my friend felt bad eating while the rest of us didn't have any food yet. Again, this is no fault to the sushi chefs. They were working extremely hard to produce quality sushi for all the guests. My problem came with our server, Emma. She didn't check in on us at all, didn't even serve our dishes to us, and like I said, forgot to get us drinks, etc. While this was frustrating, I do not think this is a reflection of the restaurant overall. It appeared the other serves were fine keeping up with their tables. For the food, we started with the crab rangoons and steamed pork potstickers. These came out within 10 minutes of ordering and were great starters! They each included 6 pieces per order. The crab rangoons were stuffed with ample amounts of cream cheese and crab meat. They were perfectly crispy and I thought these were some of the better Rangoons I've had. The potstickers hit the spot, but weren't anything too special, pretty standard. For my sushi, I ordered the Golden Apple Roll (per our servers recommendation) and a daily special roll called the bonzai Roll. The golden apple roll included spicy crunchy salmon, Fuji apples, mango, and mango sauce. This was decent and something different but not my favorite. 5)3 flavors were super unique but there wasn't a sweetness at all oddly like I was expecting. Instead it had a distinct tart flavor to it. Different, but not my vibe. Now the bonzai roll was a hit! This roll included tuna, salmon, kani, and avocado inside, topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and mayo, then flamed & torched, and finished with eel sauce, caviar, and scallions. There was certainly a lot going on in this one, but I could really taste all the different elements. The fish was extremely fresh and just divine. I also tried some of my friend's sashimi and was blown away with the quality of the fish--just amazing. Overall, we all loved the food here and would 100% return. The quality is quite good and the fish is melt in your mouth. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their sushi and it is evident in the taste and presentation alone. Now the service was certainly more desirable. I understand it was a very busy night, but our server just appeared to forget about us. Very disappointing as it slightly spoiled our experience and was not a good first impression. Again, we all agreed that we thought it wasn't a fair assessment of the restaurants service overall. I'm hoping next time the service is better and our server can do a better job serving us and checking in on us. I'm also surprised that she never offered to compensate anything in our bill, like our drinks that took 30+ minutes to come out and were served well after we had received our food. But it's not the end of the world. I would still recommend coming here, I actually think their sushi is better than Dragon Flys, better priced, and dare I say higher quality!

There is plenty of seating and the staff is very friendly. Since it is located in Midtown, parking could be tricky. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but it seems to be a popular spot amongst college students. The menu offers a nice variety of asian dishes and they also serve breakfast/brunch on the daily. The interior appeared sort of "run down", but in the best way possible. It was still inviting and provided for a nice, laid back sort of meal. The food doesn't take too long to come out either and it is made fresh to order. We ended up ordering the steamed dumplings as an appetizer. I also ordered a cup of miso soup. The dish comes with 5 decent size dumplings. They are handmade and packed with filling. I appreciated the flavorful pork and the amount of it in them. My miso soup was pretty standard, nothing too special. But is hit the spot on a chilly evening. For our entrees, my friend ordered the beef udon, while I ordered the Lemongrass chicken. The portions are pretty large and we found it to be quite filling. My friend said this was some of the best udon she'd had. The broth was very flavorful, the beef was tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The only thing she didn't like as much was the fried egg, opposed to the more traditional hard boiled egg. My lemongrass chicken was satisfying as well. It came with a copious amount of chicken, with a really tangy sauce over it. The rice was overcooked, which was disappointing. Overall, Bagels and Noodles is a wonderful asian eatery located in Midtown. Its location is prime for college students and I can see why it is so popular. The service is very good and personable. The "hole in the wall" feel of the restaurant makes the atmosphere! The food is made with lots of love and it was served fresh and hot. The dumplings are amazing and I would recommend. My friend is already dying to come back and explore more of their noodle dishes. I will definitely be returning and look forward to trying more things!
