Brother, are these good! I've been recommended this place countless times and it's been on my bucket list of places to go to. So glad I checked it out, and honestly bummed I didn't go sooner. Incredible cookies, and extremely fast service. Ordered and received my cookies within 2 minutes. I got the mini giants and as you can see they are still pretty massive. It's a small shop with a few tables and chairs. I came later in the afternoon, so a lot of the cookies were sold out, but the ones I tried were really good. Even after sitting out for a day or two, they stayed soft and chewy instead of getting hard. I got the mini cookies and they were still a pretty decent size. My favorite flavors were the Loaded Oatmeal and Lemon White Chocolate. Both were super tasty. I also liked that they sell day-old cookies at a discount. Went to Brother Cookie for the first time and walked out with exactly what I came for: a giant, fresh baked, soft, classic chocolate chip cookie. I recently saw some social media posts on Brother Cookie so I needed to try them out. I liked them, but they are a bit over priced and the flavors were just not for me. We looked this place up on Yelp and the directions listed on Yelp were wrong, but sometime this is not the businesses fault. We arrived at the business and took a look at the menu. The cookies are $3.75 each for the giant cookies. Are these cookies big? Yes, but are they worth $3.75, no because its not just $3.75 its $3.75+ tax so the cookie is more like $4.05+, so that's a pretty expensive cookie. We wanted to try a lot of cookies to see which ones were our favorites so we ordered 6 and you can get 6 cookies for $20 plus tax. We ended up getting one Browned Butter, One Carrot Cake, One S'Mores, One Rosemary Fig, One Lemon White Chocolate, and one Chocolate Cheery Amaretto. Of all the flavors we got, the only one I actually enjoyed was the Browned Butter. I wish this place had more traditional flavors like Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, or M&M cookies, but they don't. They just have these other flavors that are not too appetizing. Even the Carrot Cake was not very good, I did not like the icing they put on top of it. I noticed this place does have milk you can buy. They also have 2 beer taps and a cold brew tap as well. They have a nice indoor area where you can sit and enjoy your cookies. A couple nice things, they do sell day old cookies for a cheaper price. If you want to buy the mini cookies you do have to buy a minimum of 6 or they won't see you a mini cookie. Overall this place is just okay. I wouldn't rush back to get these cookies again, but they were just okay. read more

So far I've tried the browned butter, s'mores, and chocolate walnut. I did not enjoy either of the first 2 listed. I did not care for the taste of the browned butter and the s'mores was just bland and dry, I was expecting it to be gooey on the inside but it was not. The chocolate walnut however was amazing. For anyone that's tried the famous Levain bakery cookies in NYC, these are pretty equivalent. The dough is so soft and the inside is a perfect warm chocolately center. The only part slightly different from Levain is that there is a bit too much walnut in the cookie. The walnut pieces are quite large, I would prefer if they were chopped up in more finely cut pieces. I would not recommend either the browned butter or the s'mores, but the chocolate walnut is a MUST try. Best individual cookie in town by far. read more

I rarely am in this part of Gainesville so if I was passing by the area, I'd try Brother Cookie again, but other than that, I'm not impressed enough to go out of my way to come back. I tried the browned butter cookie and the chocolate walnut cookie. The browned butter cookie was delicious and large enough to share with another person. I would definitely order it again. Meanwhile, the chocolate walnut is supposedly the most popular cookie, but I didn't enjoy mine. Compared to the browned butter, the chocolate walnut cookie was smaller in diameter but thicker. What I didn't like about the chocolate walnut was how undercooked the whole cookie tasted. Normally, that wouldn't faze me, but with this cookie it somehow tasted off. Brother Cookie has a lot of unique flavors that I wouldn't find at other Gainesville cookie places, like carrot cake, but also has popular flavors like s'mores. Midnight Cookie seems to get all the top honors if you google best of for Gainesville, but our family recommended Brother Cookie. While Midnight Cookie was a tasty cookie eaten warm with fun options for topping and hours that cater to a late night, college crowd, Brother Cookie, by far and away had the better cookies.
