Tonight while running late errands I stopped in the drive thru for a sweet tea and a diary free Dilly bar. I was asked, chocolate or vanilla but then quickly nevermind they only come in chocolate. I responded, well they're vanilla ice cream (coconut ice cream) inside and chocolate on the outside. I proceed to the window and pay. I'm handed my tea and then with smiles and giggles, my Dilly bar. It was dark, so I didn't see that it was wrong. One bite and I immediately knew it was wrong. She gave me a low fat Dilly bar NOT a dairy free Dilly bar. This could have been a catastrophy. They need to educate their employees about people with food allergies and the importance of paying attention to what they are doing. I can count on one hand the times I've ever left an establishment without leaving a 20% tip but I've never seen a more deserving group of people to do it to. As for the food - who would've guessed that bagging corn nuggets before getting the burger it took 10 minutes to make would result in a barely warm bag of corn nuggets? More mysterious, however, was how in the world the burger wasn't hot after all that time cooking. Do yourself a favor and walk away if it takes you 3 minutes of standing directly in front of the team members who are at the counter with no greeting. Don't give them the benefit of the doubt, no matter how much you once loved it. I'm grateful for the experience to teach me to stop vouching for small town stops if I haven't been there myself recently.
