Every time you think you're gonna go into a fast food drive-through and get out fast, you're always wrong. And at McDonald's in the city of Alachua Florida. Horrible every single time go through the drive through your waiting 15 to 20 maybe in 30 minutes. We are better off not using fast food. Either make a lunch at home or go to a actual restaurant where at least you get a little bit faster Service. read more

Two decades ago, I worked in High Springs up the road and would stop in here weekly for some 2 for $2 breakfast sandwich. Always had a polite hello and a hot, quickly-made sandwich ready for me. Fast forward 20 years and now I make sure THIS is the stop we make when headed up I-75. Sure back home it's Chic-Fil-A or something else local, but this location of McDonald's has stood the test of time and courtesy and consistency. Stopped in here recently to have them bring food out to the kids and wife and mother, and really no complaints what-so-ever. We even ordered a coffee in a separate order and they managed to get it out all together for us. Listen, McDonald's food is gonna be McDonald's food, but if you want the best that it can get and get it done right and politely, this is your spot! read more

I don't frequent fast food often, but sometimes if I'm in a rush I'll grab it for my daughter. I also have to admit I'm a fan of their vanilla ice cream cones. So if I do come, it's 99% going through the drive through. But this trip was a breakfast break and a stretch my legs break on the way to Orlando. So we went inside and it all looks new and so high tech to me. There are stations where you can place your order inside. Say what? I am so used to going to the counter so I breezed right by this option and went to the main area to order. It was service with a smile and they handed me a table number. I've never seen that at a fast food restaurant. I told my friend that later, and he works in the restaurant business. He told me the reason they do is to actually give you the perception your order is done quicker than you think. Who knew? And hey, it works! I had not even picked my table yet after getting napkins, etc and our order was coming towards us. Now that's quick. Hot cakes and sausage. I got to eat what my daughter didn't finish. I have to admit I've been a little more label conscious lately, and I just happened to see the ingredients for the hot syrup. Yikes. This is why I buy maple syrup at home with one ingredient: maple. This stuff isn't good for you at all, but it tastes good. It didn't deter me from eating the rest of the pancakes, but it made me feel a little more guilty as I was doing it. Side note, sure a lot of people may be swinging through and so yes, the bathrooms are pretty clean on the women's side. McDonald's got fancy on me. This was the nicest McDonald's I've ever been in, but I'm sure they are more like this. It's just that I need to frequent the inside more often. read more

Sunday AM stop: very busy as this is migrant work season and this place was packed with buses. Staff very professionally handled each and every order with obvious patience and commitment. Clean, quick, accurate orders. They have 2 drive thru windows, which make this location above average. I went thru & I ordered an egg & cheese biscuit... buttery, flaky biscuit, folded egg & Melty cheese. I've also been inside on multiple occasions. The restrooms are clean, the clerks are friendly, the line moves fast & there is always a manager seen working side by side to help where needed. I would recommend this McD's if you're into their type food. The only thing that would make this a 5 star review is if this location was 24 hours. read more

I was just passing through as I was making my way back to Jacksonville. This location was clean and convenient right off 75 North. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was the first time I used the kiosk to take my order. Thank goodness a cashier was neat to help me. My chicken sandwich was hot and fresh and was served quickly. Everyone behind the front line semester to be working as a team. The bathroom was clean also. I will remember this location when passing through town. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my daughter for a quick meal, and you would think that would be the case with a fast food restaurant, but it wasn't, and the Place was almost empty with only 5 customers sitting and 2 ordering. Okay, apparently I have become a McDonalds connoisseur according to my Yelp reviews. I really don't eat at McDonalds much (maybe once or twice a year), but sometimes I just crave it or I have to eat it because of the people I'm with or something. But whatever, man, back off. The important thing to know here is this McDonalds was the freshest tasting McDonalds I've ever had. Seriously, it reminded me of how great it tasted to me when I was a kid. This is probably the best McDonald's I've been to. The location is very convenient especially if you're traveling on the highway. Close to the exit so you can get food and use the bathroom. The only reason why this McDonald's stands out from the rest is the prompt service due to the management. You can order and get your food very quickly. I also like how in the morning and during lunch (times when there are long lines for most fast food places), they are very efficient when taking their customer's orders in order to prevent traffic. The employees are very nice and not sassy like in some of their other locations. I don't really care for their food, but I am a sucker for their iced coffees. In the drive-thru, the cashiers always say "See you tomorrow!" after you receive your order. At first, I thought this was weird. Nevertheless, they are correct. The food was good and the service was as well. This has to be one of the busiest locations I have been to. There quite a few employees working and the wait time was not bad at all. The food came up fast and fresh. I had the quarter pounder and the little one had the 4 piece chicken nugget with apple slices. There is outdoor seating available. This McDonalds does the kiosk ordering right. After you place and pay for your order at the kiosk, cups are next to the kiosk for your drink and no need to wait in line at the cashier. Just take you table tent and wait for table service. You get table service without having to tip the server! read more
