Stopped here in the way home from Jacksonville, it was my guys suggestion. They seem pretty cool, and their location is huge, great for larger groups. I had an amazing baked potato, that was nearly 8" long, stuffed with chili and cheese. It was immense. My guy had a bacon double cheese burger and said it was one of the best burgers he's eaten. Our waitress was super friendly and efficient. I know i would come back no questions asked.

Went for lunch on a Thursday. It's in Alachua downtown but parking was not a problem. The staff were friendly and quick. We were able to eat and be back to work all within an hour. The food was ok, nothing really stood out when it came to flavor. The pricing was good for the size portion you receive. Good place to have a simple meal when you want to sit down and relax before going back to work.

Well we hadn't eaten here in a long time.Server was ok, appetizer was kind of bland , my lunch chicken was the good point of our visit here, wife had her burger, which i said looked kind of messy, she said it had a lot of seasoning. but was ok.never got a water refill during lunch either, server did ask me if i wanted one to go.The old building the restaurant is in was really cool. The area it is situated in is like stepping into the past. Love the area. Thet have a cool area which you can get old candy, ice cream, etc. Now fast forward to later that evening, my wife got so violently sick, throwing up and on the toilet. All she could taste while doing so was the hamburger. So safe to say we won't be going back here.

Entering it kind of reminds you of a farmhouse, I guess. Pretty standard furnishings and decoration for a country diner sort of place. Of course, we were there for breakfast, so the standard diner breakfast was on the menu. The full menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, and a couple of barbecue dishes. If there were more screens mounted on the walls I would call it a sportsbar, but that isn't the case. Our orders were taken, and I had gone for eggs, hashbrowns, and corned beef because it was St Patty's Day. Realistically one of the few times that I have legitimately had food that was appropriate for the holiday. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time for a group of ten, so the kitchen and staff knew what they were doing. The food was fine... nothing to really shout out about, but also not bad. It was what I expected it to be, and that was good enough.

I don't mind themed restaurants (they can be fun). This place was designed to model the Farmhouse where the ranch hands gathered for meals before and after a long day of riding. I dug it. It gave off a warm, welcoming, one-of-the-family vibe. Kasey was my server for the meal and she was frowning before I asked one question. I placed an order for one Country Fried Steak with sides of Collard Greens and Mac & Cheese, along with some Strawberry Shortcake to round out the meal. I soon saw Cantankerous Kasey begrudgingly returning with my victuals. I don't understand this attitude. Am I supposed to be grateful she deigned to work here? Anyway, if any of you are curious like me, you may have often wondered what it was like to spend a day in jail. To that end, I admit, I got myself hauled off to the County Hoosegow. Wanting to make the most out of my tax dollars, I booked my stay to include lunch. The dry bologna sandwich you receive, along with the juice bag to wash it down, is something you try to forget. As I looked at the slop my trustee, Kasey, placed before me, I began to long for the county jail government issue bologna. The Country Fried Steak was fresh from the freezer and cooked with the precision of Stevie Wonder passing his behind-the-wheel driving test. I've been hit with hockey pucks softer than this garbage. The gravy was made in the Sysco factory and this had to be their bottom-grade slush. It was as tasty as flour and water. Wait. The sides were a step down from the entree, if that is possible. Just look at the pictures and tell me, does anything look appetizing? While I am not one to ever judge a book by its cover, as looks can be deceiving. In this case, they are not, and the adage 'a picture speaks a thousand words' is spot on. The Collard Greens were obviously from an industrial can. Hey, don't get me wrong, all restaurants use a food service, but you don't have to be cheap about it and try to finagle the dining population by using the lowest quality they have to offer. The Mac & Cheese looked more like something a dog regurgitated than actual food. It was dry and pasty on the palate--just the way it is not supposed to be. The Strawberry Shortcake is also food service, not unlike the stuff you got in high school, only worse. Kudos, 1906 Farmhouse, you officially serve Swill sans the fly. At least on this visit. The Big Boy says, "I wouldn't serve this SWILL to a dead dog."

It is definitely a neighborhood bar and the locals are all friendly as was the bartender Melanie. There are a couple of pool tables, dart boards and a jukebox. They also had a bucket of 5 beers for $15 with five beers to choose from. I ordered the double burger with onion rings. I forgot to take a picture but the double will not fit in your mouth! It was a decent burger and much bigger than I expected. My friend got the club sandwich and it looked impressive as well. We ended up shooting pool and chatting with some of the regulars and left in the wee hours of the morning. Melanie was hustling all night as the bartender and the cook. She was on top of it all night. We were in town to scuba dive and are on to our next destination, otherwise we would have returned. Great little dive bar. Friendly staff and locals. Decent bar food.

I'd read the reviews and they were supposed to have the coldest beer in Florida and the best burgers. What's not to like about that? When we walked in, it was as advertised, a nice little biker bar with pool tables and they do in fact have very good burgers and cold beer. We had great service, great food, great prices, and actually stayed there much longer than we planned. If we ever have to come back through this way and stay, I will definitely go back there for another great Cajun burger, and a couple of cold beers..

We were afraid with the live music that it might be up to an hour wait (we were told). In point of fact, we got seated maybe five minutes after we arrived. (They indicated at that time that it was actually a longer wait for indoors than outdoors despite decent weather.) I split the Baked River Mushroom appetizer with my wife. We had expected stuffed mushroom caps of some sort; but what it actually is is chopped mushrooms and vegetables in a dressing (brown butter sage and balsamic reduction) served with thick dark bread as a platform. Pretty good. I also had a bit of the Spinach Artichoke dip (good) and the Gator Bites (which have quite a bit of fried onion mixed in with the gator) (quite good.) For an entree, I had the Duke's Macaroni with Blackened Chicken (which they mixed in.) Quite delicious, but it did leave quite a lot of oil (over a tablespoon) in the plate. It was a very large portion. We had dessert plans elsewhere, so skipped their rather large dessert options. Our server was outstanding, friendly, taking care of everything. Except for the very long wait between ordering and getting our first appetizers and soups. (Not such a wait before the entrees came.) 20% gratuity added for parties of eight or more.

The presentation was beautiful, and everything looked so good when it came out. We also tried the bourbon mushrooms, which unfortunately weren't my favorite. They were a little bland and seemed slightly burnt to me. The 14 oz. New York strip, though, was absolutely delicious! It was 20-day wet-aged beef and definitely the highlight of my meal. So much flavor and cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, and they surprised us by decorating the plate with "Happy Anniversary." Such a sweet and thoughtful touch! We finished the evening with a double espresso. The service was exceptional from start to finish, which really made the evening feel special. Overall, we really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Prime & Pearl. The beautiful presentation, excellent service, delicious steak, and thoughtful anniversary touches made it a memorable evening.
