Standard breakfast menu with some Asian influenced offerings. This is my go to spot because of their spicy bulgogi omelette. It has rice, cheese, and bulgogi inside, and topped with some bulgogi outside. Today, we enjoyed their bulgogi omelette, Thai ice tea, and Thai donuts l. The table next to us had their Red Curry Thai chicken which was served over white rice topped with a fried egg. They said that was their favorite breakfast dish. Other dishes our group has had in the past and would recommend are their chicken and waffles, bulgogi eggs benedict, pancakes, and western omelettes. The wait staff is always friendly despite how busy it can get at times. They recently updated their upholstery in their booths. There is a planned renovation for their interior space according to the waitress because the business changed owners about 2 years ago. This hidden gem gets more busy every time I go. Country Foodly is a small, charming eatery with limited indoor seating, but it feels warm and inviting. The last time I was her was I believe somewhere 2016-2017. I went with a friend and funny enough this time I went with the same friend. I noticed their menu changed in a good way and they have some great offerings. The menu has a great variety, and I went with the regular Korean breakfast (Korean rice platter). It choose bulgogi as my protein, and it came with rice, a perfectly cooked egg, a fresh side salad, and even a small chicken wing. The flavors were spot on, especially the bulgogi, which was tender and well-seasoned. I split it with my friend and got hash browns and an extra egg for her. It was enough to fill us both granted we also had matcha on the way there. Generous portion for sure for us. Service was friendly and efficient, though the small space can fill up quickly, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great place for a hearty, flavorful meal. Would definitely come back! read more

We waited close to an hour for our food - clearly the server had forgotten to put in our order, or the kitchen screwed up. My spicy pork omelet was inedible, full of tough fatty meat. A microwaved biscuit came with it and a packet of margarine. At least the grits were good. My companion's bulgogi eggs Benedict was made up of finely ground, unseasoned beef and accompanied by completely unseasoned, greasy hash browns. Zero apology for the hour long wait. Great and cozy place for a simple breakfast. The lady who served us was very informative and sweet. If you had to come for one thing it's definitely the Thai donuts. These were phenomenal and I would go back for that alone! Unlike this place, most restaurants that offer a mix of cuisines usually don't have all dishes tasting "correctly" so that was nice. A really fun hole in the wall spot. Waitstaff was very friendly. There's very limited seating so you might end up at a table with strangers and it probably isn't the best spot to host large groups. Food was really fun! They have traditional American breakfast dishes and also some Korean fusion dishes. I tried ramyun which I never had before and didn't know what to expect. It was ramen type noodles with eggs, and some veggies. Very filling and flavorful! I had folks approaching our table to ask what I ordered because it looked so good. This was a cute little diner style restaurant that serves all your breakfast favorites. Plus some favorites with a Korean twist! We were here on a Sunday morning and the restaurant had a steady stream of people, but we were able to quickly get a seat at a table. The whole restaurant only had about 6 tables and a long community table in the middle Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I chose to get the Eggs Benedict with Beef Bulgogi. It was a really great combination and tasted good. The eggs were a bit overcooked as the yolks weren't runny. I feel like it lacked a bit of flavor, but overall very solid for a diner restaurant! I really wish the potatoes were much crispier too. The bulgogi was very moist and had a nice flavor. I also got the blueberry muffin. Overall: A small, hidden, hole in the wall place with fast service and good food! I haven't been here since possibly 2013/2014. I missed the turn into the mini-plaza it's located. There is free parking outside of it. Ambience: Hole in a wall. It is smaller than I remember. There aren't many booths. The place definitely looks like it may have stayed the same as when it opened. It is very diner looking. It could use some tlc. Service: Quick and friendly. I was down immediately. There weren't many people inside when I went, but the servers were attentive. Food: Delicious! The beef bulgogi Korean omelette is really the take home winner. It is a must try. The hash browns - I honestly can't remember maybe a little more greasy than I would like but still good. Down and Dirty Quaint atmosphere with a very homey feel. Mom and pop style for sure. Food was delicious and made with "love". Servers weren't very welcoming. Mainly watched their phones or chatted amongst themselves. Service: Was told to sit wherever we wanted and came up shortly after ti get our drink orders. The table hadn't been wiped down and it was dirty and wet so I asked her to wipe it down. She did but wasn't very thorough. Still had wet areas she didn't get. She got our drink order and came back quickly with them (all waters). Didn't provide straws or even ask if we wanted them. Cane back a min or so later and got our food order. It came out quickly (we were the only people in the place). Server was very transactional and not as friendly or welcoming as you'd expect in general, especially in a mom/pop place like this. Food: Food came out fast and had great flavor. My daughter and I both got eggs benedict. Eggs poached perfectly, ham juicy and cooked well and the sauce was decent. Only thing we didn't like was the cheese they put on it (who puts cheese on eggs benedict?) Sauce also could have had more spice and salt to it but overall good flavor and consistency. We got a side of hashbrowns but it was the smallest portion of hashbrowns I have ever had. I left full so it didn't matter in the end. My husband got an omelette and he ate every bite (didn't have time to take a photo before he devoured it). He must have liked it. Lol. Price: good price for the portions and overall food. Everyone was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was pretty homey! I went in before work in the afternoon so it was when it wasn't extremely busy. They were so sweet and from what I saw they're so attentive and show the love they have for their customers. I had the shrimp fried rice (though I've heard their breakfast food is amazing) and it was very good! Flavourful and a nice lunch for me right before work. This place came highly recommended by a coworker but I found it hard to believe when I was told that it is a classic dinner with an infusion of Korean food. In Gainesville no less. Sure enough, on the north side of town, Country Foodly is an unassuming (and tiny) little breakfast spot tucked into a strip mall. I came on a weekday morning but I can easily see how on a weekend this place would have a line out of the door. It has all your typical diner items (waffles, various types of eggs, hash-browns, sandwiches, burgers, salads) but then there are the items that make Country Foodly unique: spicy pork and bulgogi beef omelettes, Korean tacos, Korean rice platters, and Ramyun with dumplings. I ordered the spicy pork omelette with a side of kimchi. The omelette was your typical omelette with some spicy pork added inside. I can only assume the bulgogi beef omelettes are the same. The kimchi tasted like it came out of a jar from the supermarket, instead of that homemade taste where it has been allowed to ferment for weeks. Overall I think Country Foodly provides that classic diner fare but I wouldn't say you get an authentic Korean cuisine experience. read more

Though the name is a little odd and this place feels tucked away in a random strip center, it came highly recommended from my friend so off we went. It's small inside with a couple of tables outside as needed. Their website has almost no information on it. It gives a very no frill vibes to it, so luckily word got out on the food because it's not much presence in person or online. I was not expecting the Korean twist on the food, and I was hesitant on an omelette with beef (bulgogi beef and rice). It didn't scream "omlette" to me, but I trusted my friend. And oh wow, you can taste that it's marinated in different flavors, not like ground beef like I was expecting. It's a pretty unusual dish and really surprisingly tasty. It also came with toast or biscuit and grits or homefries or has browns, all for less than $10. The sides were nice, but I love that this fusion dish really works on a menu with traditional Southern breakfast fare. There are your usual menu items if those are wanted, but I'm glad I tried something out of my usual picks. The service was fantastic and food was a delight, so it's worth tracking down. read more

This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Gainesville. It's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city/campus but has its fair share of loyal customers. I've never had to wait for a table and I've only been on weekends around brunch time. The interior is homey and the artwork for sale that lines the walls fits with the American diner theme. You MUST try the Bulgogi eggs Benedict. Absolutely my favorite thing on the menu (though I've loved it so much I haven't tried much else). Their muffins are also worth getting. They're a great size for sharing since they are big and come to your table already cut in quarters. If you like warm muffins, tell the server and the cook will butter them and heat them on the griddle (100% recommended). read more

Country Foodly is a very cute place with Southern charm! I've been going a couple times a year since I was a kid and their food never disappoints. The menu is mainly American diner food and has a couple Vietnamese dishes. I personally recommend the BLT and any of the bagels. The French toast and pancakes are also reliable. I've had the omelette once, but it was quite heavy for me. The cozy atmosphere of the store has wait staff checking on you and your meal very often, which is much appreciated. read more

This place won my heart over with the beef bulgogi omelette. However last weekend it had such a strong white American cheese taste to it that distracted from the main flavor I was used to. This may be due to my lack of reading the updated menu and ordering my usual, but I was not a fan of the updated addition. Next time I will be sure to ask for it without the cheese. They also did away with the dumpling that used to come with the bulgogi omelet and that was a bit of a disappointment too. On a Sunday at 10:30a, we only had to wait 10-15mins for a table. Not impressed. I don't know what the hype was about on these reviews. First of all, it's very cramped, and I had to sit in a "center" table that seats 10, with strangers. One elderly man stated, "I don't bite" to any of us that sat down. Then he proceeded to talk to another dude who sat at our table. He called him a "bald mechanic". Then another woman overheard them talking about mechanic stuff and got up from her table and sat here asking the mechanic questions about her car. This place, especially the elderly talk-a-holic with a deep voice, was too loud. Maybe I look unfriendly but none of them talked to me. lol. I eat alone a lot and want peace and quiet, not constant chatter. If you're an introvert, don't come here. Now, about the food: mediocre at best. Actually I didn't enjoy it. I had sausage patties that had no flavor and were hard. McDonald's sausage is way better. I had difficulty cutting the patties with my fork. The grits didn't taste good and had a weird texture. I asked for a side of gravy, fully expecting to pay for it. She charged me $3.25 for a small bowl (2-3 ozs) and it was flavorless. The biscuit had no flavor. Just like the name suggests, this is a quaint, cozy, charming and reasonably-priced diner with amazing comfort food but with a Korean twist. Years and years ago, a good friend and long time Foodie-in-Crime invited me out to her new discovery. Her family loves Sandy's Place and would occasionally dine there on Sundays. They stubbled on this treasure one time when Sandy was closed or something. She told me I had to try this bulgogi omelette. 6 years later, I am still enamored by this simple, delicious and satiating meal. The home fries are crispy and perfect. They definitely have improved in their craft over the years. I remember the home fries used to not be so crispy. My friends had the Bulgogi Benedict, the Spicy Pork Omelette and the Bulgogi burrito. Went here for breakfast today and I ordered the beef bulgogi omelette. The omelette had rice, swiss cheese, and meat in it, and it was a nice balance between each. The only suggestion I had would be for the bulgogi to have more flavor, because it was a little plain compared to bulgogi that I have had elsewhere. If you haven't eaten at Country Foodly lately - what's keeping you? This basic little breakfast-lunch place in a unimpressive strip mall on 34th just keeps chugging along. We went for lunch the other day and people were taking the tables as fast as they were vacant, and one bit of our omelets reminded us of why. Spouse went for their special Bulgogi which never disappoints. I branched out and had what was probably THE best spinach and cheese (Swiss and provolone) omelet I've ever had. Around us people were eating BLTs, ramdum, soup, and everything looked yummy. Do yourself a favor - go back to Country Foodly (or try it for the first time) soon. After hearing so much about this unique spot, I finally got to try it. I went on a Friday around lunch time and expected a wait, but much to my surprise there was only myself and one other customer there. I was seated immediately. Of course, because of all of the reviews I decided to try the bulgogi omelette and I got hash browns instead of grits. The Omelette is as good as everyone says! The meat is so succulent and flavorful and works really well with the onions and swiss cheese. The hash browns were good although they were a little greasy. My waitress claimed that the biscuit was made from scratch, but I beg to differ so I just didn't eat all of it. The meal here was incredibly reasonable and my whole entree barely reached $10. I was glad that a restaurant lived up to its hype. I'll have to report back once I try some of the lunch items. read more
