    Hot and sour soup
    Jim W.

This visit was less than satisfactory. I ordered the green curry and it more resembled chicken with white sauce and mixed vegetables. The rice was good though. Service from the kitchen was very slow. I waited 35 minutes between my soup and my entree. The hot and sour soup was great. During the long wait and running out of beer I was able to notice some cleaning issues. Apparently window cleaner and bleach aren't allowed in the dining area. The glass is very dirty and the lamps are dusty with cowbwebs. The bathrooms do not appear to have been sanitized with anything other than a dish towel. The icing on the cake was the fortune cookie. It was the most stale and vile chunk of twisted ribbon I'd ever attempted to eat. It instantly ended up in a napkin. Looks the the roller coaster effect is going on here again. This restaurant has a history of going up and down. Let's hope they start an upward trend.

    eabyss rendition of bourbon chicken

Alert: Ordered Bourbon Chicken to go and advised 15 minutes. No one in lobby and no others waiting and they began preparing my meal when I arrived at 15 minutes. I paid $9.50 and added a gratuity for a $7.95 lunch special. Left and found my order was small breaded chicken bits in green pepper and onion sweet and sour sauce... the rice was also somehow cold. I returned to the store and told them I ordered "Bourbon Chicken" not sweet and sour chicken. Then a young man and check out clerk proceeded to try to gaslight me... said "this is how we make bourbon chicken with the peppers and onions" (with sweet and sour sauce lmao) So whatever you might order... be prepared for whatever they feel like making at the moment and for them to then tell you that what you specifically did not order... is what you meant to order when you ordered it. Deserves negative star rating and will recommend to everyone that they do not waste their money here.

    Delicious! Vegetables delight with tofu!

Absolutely delicious food! We tried a few plates off their vegan menu and loved them all! The Teriyaki Oumph with vegan chicken was so good! I also loved the General tso's tofu and their eggplant in garlic sauce! All our dishes came with a side of rice. They accept credit card! The staff was EXTREMELY friendly! Can't wait to try it again.

Beef and Broccoli with white rice and a small cheesecake on the side! Looks great!

Ordered via app. Quick pickup. Reasonable pricing. Good tasting noodles. Liked beef/broccoli.

The place is take-out only, but the service is quick and the server is friendly. The food was hot and tasty; it's definitely worth a try.

Pretty basic. Not full of flavor but if you're in high springs it's your best and only option. The orange chicken was decent.

The server looked at with a smile and slight confusion. We realized they were not yet open! I felt like a dunce. We offered to come back. She made sure we were comfortable, provided several laughs, and advised that the chef was preparing. The ambiance was so inviting and the overall vibe was great so waiting was not even a concern. We started with the wings. Oh my! They were out of this world. I can only assume (because I didn't ask) that they were soy garlic, and oh so yummy. Extremely tender and moist, with more flavor than any wing should have. My Daughter ordered the chilli oil noodles. They were a medium spice packed with flavor. My finance ordered hot and spicy noodles that didn't hold back. They were as described with the perfect about of heat. She'd felt they would have benefited from a bit of sweetness, but were delicious. I thought they were great. I ordered the mongoose Dan Dan noodles. They were also delicious. The noodles themselves were the star I feel. They had the perfect amount of bounce giving an authenticity I didn't expect. I tried all three dishes and my favorite was the hot and spicy noodles but my daughter gave her leftovers to her boyfriend! I was offended but I survived. We shared a slice of pistachio cake that was truly special. The server told us it was amazing but we didn't expect it to be that good. It was super moist, not overly sweet, and was nothing less than perfect. Totally unexpected. This is a true gem.

Mee ka thung w/beef and shrimp (upgrade charge $3), banh hoi, 1/2 lb of crispy roast pork, beef sticks, with drinks. Sprite and Vietnamese coffee. Mee ka thung: 0/5 do not recommend. It was bland. No taste. No charring of the noodles. The egg was overly cooked and we added that as an extra. The shrimp and the beef tasted off. It was fishy. Banh Hoi: 1/5 would recommend. Only good thing was the sweet fish sauce it came with. The pork belly was meh. Didn't have flavor. Tasted not fresh. Not crispy. Crispy pork belly: 0/5 do not recommend. The pork belly wasn't crispy. Tasted like they had it out for awhile and basically warmed it up when we ordered. The skin wasn't crispy. It was chewy. No flavor. No nothing. Did not taste fresh. Beef skewers: 0/5 do not recommend. Again, no flavor. No fatty pieces to counter the dryness of the meat. Nothing. The worst part. There were no pickled veggies. If they knew their skewers were dry, they should definitely have pickled veggies to off-balance the dryness. The only 2 good things that were good was the Vietnamese coffee and the fish sauce that came with the banh Hoi. Service was mediocre. Had to grab our own silverware from a near by table. Had to ask for plates. Had to ask for refills for our water. They didnt come around to check on us. We actually to wave them down. I don't live in the area, but even if I did, I wouldn't be back.

The first night it was CRAZY busy. It's a smaller restaurant, and even though I was sitting at the bar, I had to wait a little because the kitchen was backed up. I honestly didn't mind because I figured that was probably a good sign that I picked the right place! I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Will. I overheard that he had literally just come from working his first job and was starting his second shift, and you never would've known it. He was on top of everything, taking care of his tables and everyone at the bar while still being friendly and attentive. He recommended the Lonely Angel roll, and it was a 10/10. I had it with miso soup and a glass of wine and left very happy with my choice. Well, I worked all day the next day and hadn't eaten, and I'm a creature of habit. If somewhere is good, I'm going back! I went back a little earlier this time, so it was much quieter, and to my surprise Will was behind the bar again. I got to talk with him a little more and he was super personable and genuinely enjoyable to chat with. He recommended a tuna tobachi and a Hokkaido roll, and somehow they were BOTH even better than what I had the night before. Seriously, 100/10. Great food, great service, and clearly consistent enough to get me there two days in a row. If I'm ever back in Gainesville, I will absolutely be back. Definitely ask Will what he recommends because he hasn't missed yet!

Then they hit it with a drizzle of ketchup like it's a consolation prize. This isn't Korean Fried Chicken; it's a school lunch with a passport. It's dishonest. Then you got the pork belly. I don't know if this pig was an athlete or if it's just been sitting back there since the grand opening, but it's got the texture of a pink eraser. I'm chewing and chewing, just waiting for a flavor that never shows up. My jaw is doing a full-body workout. I didn't come here for a survival mission, I came here for a snack. And please, watch yourself when you pull up. There is a pothole in the lot that looks like a portal to another dimension. An asteroid literally made a home in front of the building.
