Overpriced redundancy. You have to pay $14 to get a bowl with four options, and it doesn't even come with a drink. The food is shoveled onto your plate cafeteria style and you can get the exact same stuff but better and cheaper right across the street at the Asian Wok place. Save your money. read more

Good Asian eatery next to panda. I was mostly intrigued by their bourbon chicken (my favorite that most places never have anymore!). They had gluten free options like rice and veggies and non breaded chicken, which was nice. The bowls were huge, i couldn't eat it all and wish I would have gotten one choice of meat and base instead of 2 each! Service was fast and friendly. Bourbon chicken was 10/10! Fast food bowl restaurant, clean, well lit, good quality food, fast service. Fast service, order at the counter and they put together your bowl from pre-cooked choices and you take it to your table. Outdoor seating if you like, but it's right by the road, so it's kinda noisy. read more

I went around 12:30pm and got a bowl to go. Instantly as I walked I noticed how everything looked fresh. I ordered the four bowl and decided to try the bbq pork and orange chicken as my protein and I also chose low mein and veggies. Service was quick since I was the only one in line. The noddles had a nice bite to it but were a little on the under seasoned side. Nothing a little soy sauce and duck sauce can't fix though. The veggies had a nice crunch and I know it's a desired taste , I personally like my veggies al dente and when I bit into them they tasted more raw than anything. It wasn't tossed in a sauce so it was bland. The only redeeming quality of the bowl honestly was the orange chicken. I don't know what is going on because people mention it being salty and others mention it being bland. I think everyone's tastebuds are different. Me personally I could use more flavor and seasonings in the food that was presented before me. The orange chicken did its thing and I wish I had gotten double portion of it. It was chewy but not obnoxious kind but the perfect chewy but crunchy texture. Juicy white chicken and no weird bites of tendons. The pork was a little dry but the flavor was almost there for me. I found myself craving that orange chicken and would come back just for that honestly. I plan to review once they are open for a couple more months and give them a chance to work out kinks and then maybe my rating will go up. We had food to go so we didn't get a good look at the inside, but the exterior is well kept. You build your own bowl which I like because it can be more customized to what I feel like eating that day. I used the online app to order dinner for four people and I liked the app, it was easy to order. The food is great, I had a bowl with General Tao's chicken and udon noodles, delicious!! Third time and the food is still great. Pricing is a minor issue. Makes no sense sense to get the 'two bowl' as you can get the 'four bowl' for only a dollar more and it's twice the food. Issue is I don't need that much food if dining alone. The other times my wife and I shared a four bowl and it's enough to feed two people. I'd lower the cost of the one bowl by at least a dollar. Might drive more single diner visits. I think the offerings are better than Panda, which is literally next door. I had the Korean chicken and it was spicy good. I'd give this place a try with a grind and split the four bowl. read more

This place has pretty good prices for the amount of food you get! When I walked in they instantly offered me samples and gave a detailed description of each size and how everything works (both times!) The ambiance is pretty nice with a decent amount of seating. The food was delicious and there are so many choices I had a hard time deciding! I highly recommend the mushrooms, they're cooked so well and have amazing flavor! read more

Today and boyfriend and I went to BAMBUU Asian Eatery on Archer Rd and our experience was great! We were greeting when we arrived and we were offered samples to try out their specialty meats. I chose the 2 Two Bowl with Steak sweet potatoes and Base - Lo Mein Noodles. My boyfriend chose the Bambuu bourbon chicken and rice, his entree isn't in the pictures but it looked amazing. The service, ambience and good was amazing. Nelson served us when we came in and he was incredible! The restaurant has seating and side parking also. 10/10 will return again! read more

Not bad for the price! The service was quick and the area seemed very clean. The menu and food quality are really similar to Panda Express, but Bambuu offers more bang for your buck. I recommend the rangoons--they're better than some of the fine dining locations around Gainesville. read more

The service was great but the food left more to be desired. Best bites: bourbon chicken, udon noodles Worst bites: Korean chicken, fried rice First the good: the staff was welcoming and friendly. Our meal was free for their opening event but normally, the Four bowl would be $11.99 + the cost of your drink. The Chinese bbq pork is reminiscent of char siu and the bourbon chicken is a solid protein choice. The udon noodles were cooked perfectly and added to the meal. The bad: the Korean chicken was like biting into soggy Styrofoam. No crunch. Flavor subpar. The lo mein noodles under cooked and the fried rice was extra dry. Overall lacking seasoning. The okay: Seeing purple rice on the menu was exciting. Overall okay cook on this base selection. Shrimp was okay, not really an appealing flavor for us. They let you sample the protein in line, so take advantage of this to find your perfect protein! Portions are just okay. In summary, will not be returning, but I hope they improve the quality of the dishes with strong competition right next door. read more

Very mid Asian-American food. I really don't see why something that is basically like an off-brand Panda Express went in right next door to a real Panda Express. And for that matter, I was hoping for something much better and more authentic than Panda Express--not a copycat thereof. It's basically your same Bourbon chicken and General Tso's chicken and fried rice, plus they seemed around 8pm to be out of about half of their menu (or at least fresh-looking food for about half was not set out on offer at that time). My Korean chicken was ok, but barely that. I really would appreciate if we could get instead an authentic Chinese cuisine vendor based around fast service and informal experience--Orlando has several such and I think Gainesville could support that. Instead we get this. The staff are nice and the atmosphere is bright and fun, informal, plus they probably do most of their business in take-away but none of that can make up for very boring, typical, food. read more

I didn't like the food. The food is similar to Panda which is right next door. Next time if I'm looking for bad food, I'll go to Panda.
