Combination dish: General Tso's chicken, side of shrimp fried rice
    Myung C.

After reading so many reviews of various Chinese food locations in Gainesville, the reviews listed here seemed most appealing. I ordered delivery, and yes, the past reviews are right: it takes "forever". I waited about 50 minutes, which is longer than the usual waiting time. I chose the General Tso's chicken combination (comes with an egg roll and fried rice) and a side of shrimp fried rice, as I wasn't sure how much rice would be included in just the combination. Food finally arrived, and I dug straight in. My hunger took control and the food tasted amazing at first.. General Tso's chicken was delicious, and the serving size was ENORMOUS--for an average girl. I could hardly finish half of the chicken. I did however, finish the fried rice that came with it, but barely made a dent in the shrimp fried rice. Basically, the serving size was WELL WORTH IT compared to the price. The total came up to barely $13 and I felt like I ate $50 worth of food. Only complaints: fried rice was insanely greasy.. and yellow. (Not sure if fried rice is supposed to be yellow.) The complimentary egg roll wasn't good either.

Tofu! There is a decent selection of vegetarian options, the egg rolls are crispy, and the people who run the place are super nice.

Great food. Their shrimp in lobster sauce is very good. Great honey chicken dish. Just like NYC's Flushing area. Good soup too.

Love their takeout!! The restaurant itself isn't very nice but the food is really good and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it!!

It can get pretty busy on the weekends, so expect a wait at peak times. I love the Vegetable Dumplings, Hot Dry Noodles, General Tao's Tofu, Salt & Pepper Eggplant, and Sichuan String Beans. The menu is pretty large with plenty of options for vegetarians.

We started with the wonton soup, which was visually beautiful. The broth had a rich, inviting color and the wontons themselves were excellent -- thin, delicate wrappers with a very flavorful filling. Unfortunately, the broth itself was a bit underwhelming and lacked depth. A touch of hot mustard helped bring it to life, but it needed more natural flavor on its own. The standout dish of the meal was the Mu Shu Pork. Absolutely fantastic. The portion was generous and the flavor reminded us of classic Mu Shu from WoHop in NYC's Chinatown -- high praise. The pancakes were incredibly thin, almost paper-like and nearly translucent, yet soft and perfect for wrapping. This dish alone makes us want to come back. The Bang Bang noodles were another dish that looked beautiful when served, but the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. The sauce seemed watered down and there was quite a bit of liquid in the bowl, which muted the overall taste. It felt very close to being great, just not fully there yet. Overall, this was a mixed but promising first visit. There's clearly real skill in the kitchen, and when the flavors hit, they hit well. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying more dishes -- and we'll happily update this review after our next visit.
