Be patient, your food will be hot and delicious!

It's New Year's Day, and nothing is open, and it's only 7pm! Partied all night, slept all day; you know the drill! Bright lights and OPEN sign cutting into the night air. Yes! I already know what I want and the attendant deals with me as she pours water for people that are sitting in the restaurant! The ambience is nice, the mood is calm, my food is blazing hot, when I get it home! Pad Thai chicken hit the spot, every time. I wish they would put peanuts on it, but with all the allergic people, it's not worth the hassle. Great taste, texture, and heat! Good thing, I just live a fee blocks away! Don't forget your chopsticks!

Tup tim rolls were deliciously light and crunchy with a vinegar sauce. Beef noodle soup (pho-style) was great with a rich broth, but could have used a larger portion of beef. Service was quick and attentive, always kept our waters filled. Quiet ambiance with a dog friendly patio on the street. Overall a great, local-feeling spot with delicious food and nice servers!

Came here with my roommate right before the end of the semester and enjoyed a great meal here! I had been here once before with my mom. We really liked the food here and thought it was very yummy! With that being said, I was super excited to finally return with my roommate. It wasn't super busy when we went for lunch, but the service was just as good as I remembered. They are understaffed, but they do a great job trying to keep up with everyone. Our waiter was the sweetest and I thought she did an excellent job! She was actually the same one from my last visit. Located in Midtown, it is right by campus which is super convenient. But if you do have a car, it could be tricky finding a parking space. We ended up ordering the lunch size Beef Pad See Ew and some sushi. I have never had their sushi, but remembered their noodle dishes being really good! The Pad Sew Ew was consisted of stir fried flat rice noodles with egg, carrots, and broccoli in a brown sauce with beef. Really, really loved the savory flavors of this dish. The noodles were cooked nicely, the beef was flavorful and tender, the vegetables were cooked well, and the dish itself wasn't overly saucy. Very good and we both really liked it. It also was the perfect size for the two of us to split! For our sushi, my roommate ended up ordering some nigiri while I ordered a specialty roll and some seaweed salad. I landed on the Three Knights Roll which included tuna, salmon, cucumber, avocado, topped with yellowtail, tobiko, eel sauce, and spicy kimchi sauce. This roll was really tasty and balanced. There wasn't too much rice or too much sauce. I thought they put a nice amount of fish in the roll as well. My roommate and I agreed the fish was very fresh as well I was impressed with the sushi and wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! Might become our sushi spot in Midtown from here on out. Overall, Tup Tim Thai didn't disappoint and we left very satisfied with our meal. The service is great and our waiter did a wonderful job and was attentive. I really enjoy the atmosphere too, I think it completes the experience when dining here. The food was just as good as I remembered. The Pad See Ew was balanced, with the right amount of noodles, sauce, meat, and vegetables. We both thoroughly enjoyed our sushi and were impressed with the freshness of it as well as the presentation. With that being said, we 100% will be returning. I think this is the best place to grab Asian food in Midtown by far!!

The quantity of food included in the lunch special is very good for the cost. I ordered the chicken hibachi and absolutely loved the presentation. The addition of 2 gyoza was a nice touch and they were quite delicious. The rice and vegetables were prepared beautifully and were full of flavor. The chicken was a bit over cooked and as a result was a little dry. I finished the water I was drinking and it took several minutes before the waitress came and refilled it.

So I stopped in here late Friday night to indulge in my latest craving, drunken noodles. There were not many people dining in however, the foot traffic consisted of locals and students did using a delivery service or takeout as it's very close to campus. The interior was clean and decorated with different trinkets that represented the Asian culture/aesthetics. I glanced over the menu which had a great variety of traditional Thai dishes to sushi. I went with miso soup and drunken noodles with fried tofu as my protein. The servers were nice and helpful. The miso was very light and good. I like that it small pieces of tofu unlike most miso soups that have larger tofu pieces in it. I have to say the portion sizes here are huge but for a great price. The drunken noodles were delicious! The sauce was a great balance of that sweet and spicy flavor . The chewy noodles and fresh veggies were coated perfectly in that amazing sauce as well. The fried tofu was so good too. It soaked up the sauce and I really couldn't stop eating it. I did end up getting my soup and noodles to go because the portions were big. I spent about $19 after tax, which was not bad. Overall, I will definitely make another trip here to Tup Tim as the food was very fresh and tasty, and the portion size in addition to the price were great.

It wasn't the absolute best sushi or Thai food I've ever had, but still really good! You get a good portion for the price. I liked that the pad thai was tangier than most places I've tried. I recommend going for hot if you're looking for some heat beyond just a little kick. I think they were understaffed when we went. The waitresses were amazing and doing their best, but the service and food came out a bit slower than what I would've liked. The ambiance is fine with ample seating. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it can fill up on a busy night so plan ahead.

Decided to check this place out. It is located in the downtown of Gainesville and they have a small parking lot reserved for the restaurant itself. We came here for lunch and decided to try their panang curry and pad see ew, which are two of the common Thai dishes. The Pad see ew was little too salty but ingredients were fresh. The panang curry on the other hand was a bit bland. For the price point, I think the place is a good Thai restaurant to consider checking out. Will come back to try more foods!

Made a quick stop at this cute little Thai place in Gainesville with some friends. We could not stop eating and complimenting how great the food was throughout our experience. Wish they were serving their sushi for the day but will definitely be back to try it the next time. Service was great too!

I got the tom yum chicken soup and chicken pad see ew noodles and everything was excellent tasting and fresh. Service was great and the inside was nicely decorated. Prices were fair. I would love to come back next time I am in town.

This place is always incredible. My favorite restaurant in Gainesville. I recommend the Tom Kha soup (Tom Kha Gai) and the Pad Thai but everything I've tried is mouthwatering. The employees there are very kind and it has a nice, chill vibe with somewhat dim lighting, which is a huge plus for me.

Also, bless their heart for being a family owned restaurant, but the cleanliness and service here needs more help. Based on the reviews, we thought it was going to be a nice meal. Walking in my father-in-law said are you sure we should eat here. I said the reviews are great. I'm sure it will be fine. Let's just take everything in with a grain of salt. My father-in-law ordered pad Thai, which he typically loves. However, it was not very good at all. Actually, he said it was the worst pad Thai he had ever had. My daughter ordered the pineapple fried rice. She said it was not very flavorful and quite greasy. I had the green curry, which was decent, I did like the fact that it had less coconut milk than other establishments that I've sent you before. It is one of my favorites so I feel like it's something that I can't speak upon. I did have a good amount of vegetables and I love the fact that they use lotus roots. And eggplant. However, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst so I feel like that one was a good effort. Onto cleanliness. I really feel like they have a lot of room for improvement here. Even if most of your business businesses carry out, which I imagine it is, you still need to have a knee and clean environment for people to feel comfortable. And I believe that that's where my father-in-law's trepidation came to play. I can't say it was overly dirty, but you can tell that it was worn out. And I saw a lot of carryout business happening. That means that you still have a pretty decent cash flow coming in. My suggestion, as a restaurant consultant, is to use your days off to do a gut of all things unnecessary, do a deep clean and or replace things that obviously need replacing. And there's quite a bit that needs replacing. I'm talking tables, chairs, Flooring, paint the walls, etc. Also dollar store cutlery honestly is never OK when you're charging the prices that you are.

Arriving an hour before closing time, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and seamless seating despite the quiet atmosphere. The staff made me feel like a valued guest regardless of the hour. I was seated inside, though there is an outdoor patio. However, with the lack of customers and the late hour, it felt better to sit inside this time around. The decor is pretty typical for a Thai restaurant... lots of reds and gold and the ever present dragons. The standout of the evening was undoubtedly the Tom Yum soup. It was bold, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. It alone is worth a return visit. The summer roll was decent but fell a little short of its potential. The shrimp felt sparse, and an overly generous hand with the cucumber threw off the harmony of flavors I was hoping for. My green curry hit all the right flavor notes, but the portion felt slightly unbalanced. A bit more curry to accompany the rice would have made it a truly satisfying main. Minor criticisms aside, Bangkok Square delivers a genuinely enjoyable Thai dining experience. The highs are high enough that I'll certainly be back.

We started with the wonton soup, which was visually beautiful. The broth had a rich, inviting color and the wontons themselves were excellent -- thin, delicate wrappers with a very flavorful filling. Unfortunately, the broth itself was a bit underwhelming and lacked depth. A touch of hot mustard helped bring it to life, but it needed more natural flavor on its own. The standout dish of the meal was the Mu Shu Pork. Absolutely fantastic. The portion was generous and the flavor reminded us of classic Mu Shu from WoHop in NYC's Chinatown -- high praise. The pancakes were incredibly thin, almost paper-like and nearly translucent, yet soft and perfect for wrapping. This dish alone makes us want to come back. The Bang Bang noodles were another dish that looked beautiful when served, but the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. The sauce seemed watered down and there was quite a bit of liquid in the bowl, which muted the overall taste. It felt very close to being great, just not fully there yet. Overall, this was a mixed but promising first visit. There's clearly real skill in the kitchen, and when the flavors hit, they hit well. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying more dishes -- and we'll happily update this review after our next visit.

The line wasn't too long inside, so we decided we would try it. They were swamped and very busy still, but the staff was doing their best to accommodate everyone. We waited in a short line for maybe 15min before reaching the hostesses table. We were lucky to get seats at the sushi bar! The interior is very nice and has a nice vibe. This place is really great for nice dinners, nights out, or a good dinner. Service was definitely off that night. Our water specifically seemed to forget about the group of us since we were seated at the sushi bar. It took her 15 to get us waters and our other drinks didn't even come out until after we got out food (a considerable time later). Like I said it was busy, the sushi bar was swamped with orders, but they were working diligently to keep up with the influx of orders. Most of us ordered sushi, so we ended up waiting a considerable amount of time for our meals. My one friend ordered an entree from the kitchen and it came out within 10 minutes of her ordering it. Our sushi was served about 20-30 minutes after her dish. This is frustrating and slightly awkward as my friend felt bad eating while the rest of us didn't have any food yet. Again, this is no fault to the sushi chefs. They were working extremely hard to produce quality sushi for all the guests. My problem came with our server, Emma. She didn't check in on us at all, didn't even serve our dishes to us, and like I said, forgot to get us drinks, etc. While this was frustrating, I do not think this is a reflection of the restaurant overall. It appeared the other serves were fine keeping up with their tables. For the food, we started with the crab rangoons and steamed pork potstickers. These came out within 10 minutes of ordering and were great starters! They each included 6 pieces per order. The crab rangoons were stuffed with ample amounts of cream cheese and crab meat. They were perfectly crispy and I thought these were some of the better Rangoons I've had. The potstickers hit the spot, but weren't anything too special, pretty standard. For my sushi, I ordered the Golden Apple Roll (per our servers recommendation) and a daily special roll called the bonzai Roll. The golden apple roll included spicy crunchy salmon, Fuji apples, mango, and mango sauce. This was decent and something different but not my favorite. 5)3 flavors were super unique but there wasn't a sweetness at all oddly like I was expecting. Instead it had a distinct tart flavor to it. Different, but not my vibe. Now the bonzai roll was a hit! This roll included tuna, salmon, kani, and avocado inside, topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and mayo, then flamed & torched, and finished with eel sauce, caviar, and scallions. There was certainly a lot going on in this one, but I could really taste all the different elements. The fish was extremely fresh and just divine. I also tried some of my friend's sashimi and was blown away with the quality of the fish--just amazing. Overall, we all loved the food here and would 100% return. The quality is quite good and the fish is melt in your mouth. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their sushi and it is evident in the taste and presentation alone. Now the service was certainly more desirable. I understand it was a very busy night, but our server just appeared to forget about us. Very disappointing as it slightly spoiled our experience and was not a good first impression. Again, we all agreed that we thought it wasn't a fair assessment of the restaurants service overall. I'm hoping next time the service is better and our server can do a better job serving us and checking in on us. I'm also surprised that she never offered to compensate anything in our bill, like our drinks that took 30+ minutes to come out and were served well after we had received our food. But it's not the end of the world. I would still recommend coming here, I actually think their sushi is better than Dragon Flys, better priced, and dare I say higher quality!

Oh my god, I took a single bite and didn't speak to my friend for 15 minutes as I continued munching it down. It was amazing. The vermicelli comes underneath this mound of pork holy grail, and while I'm used to having my vermicelli with these bowls cold and a bit thinner, and there being significantly more noodles than meat ratio, I'm thrilled to say that not this bowl - this bowl was 60% pork, 30% noodle, and 10% veggie. I'm taking every bite with 2-3 pieces of pork. I'm soaking up the juices with the noodles. I'm crunching on a few cucumbers to balance it out. I'm savoring every piece. Absolutely wonderful. I'm so excited to go back and try every one of their dishes.
