Great tasty authentic food with charming service. Would go again, ambiance was nice and I enjoyed the music!

Pretty good food and prices , had the panang curry hot spice level was really flavorful but a little too spicy and I love spicy food so keep that in mind to not get it too spicy. Bathroom door needs repair and a little cleaning but staff was also really nice and they were quick. read more

Tup Thim Thai absolutely hit the spot. I ordered the Massaman curry and it was perfect. The rich coconut milk, tender potatoes, carrots, onions, and those cashew nuts made every bite feel cozy and comforting. So flavorful without being heavy. I had some leftovers and took it home and the next day it was even more flavorful. I started with a jasmine tea, which was soothing and fragrant, and couldn't resist grabbing a Thai iced tea to go... no regrets. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly balanced. Sometimes Thai iced tea can feel too sugary or too strong, but this one was smooth and refreshing, like the ideal finish to the meal. It stayed cold and flavorful even after I left the restaurant. The service was warm, the portions were great, and everything tasted super fresh. Easily one of my favorite Thai spots in Gainesville. read more

Wish I could've tried the place. We came here around 11:30 and there was just someone passed out on the ground in the entry way. Lights were off inside even though they're supposed to be open and when I walked into the entryway I had to hold my nose to try and find signage about when they open bc it smelled so badly of urine. read more

The food here was really great! I had the pad Thai noodles with chicken and it was packed with flavor! They didn't serve sushi at the time we went which was a bummer but still the noodles definitely saved the day. The service was good as they served water right when we sit down, the atmosphere itself is also nice, makes it feel like an authentic Thai place. Definitely come here and give it a shot! read more

It's New Year's Day, and nothing is open, and it's only 7pm! Partied all night, slept all day; you know the drill! Bright lights and OPEN sign cutting into the night air. Yes! I already know what I want and the attendant deals with me as she pours water for people that are sitting in the restaurant! The ambience is nice, the mood is calm, my food is blazing hot, when I get it home! Pad Thai chicken hit the spot, every time. I wish they would put peanuts on it, but with all the allergic people, it's not worth the hassle. Great taste, texture, and heat! Good thing, I just live a fee blocks away! Don't forget your chopsticks! read more

Tup tim rolls were deliciously light and crunchy with a vinegar sauce. Beef noodle soup (pho-style) was great with a rich broth, but could have used a larger portion of beef. Service was quick and attentive, always kept our waters filled. Quiet ambiance with a dog friendly patio on the street. Overall a great, local-feeling spot with delicious food and nice servers! read more

We got a to go order because my son is at Shands. We ordered soup that was supposed to come with vegetables and chicken. There was maybe one strand of a julienned carrot in the soup. There was no chicken at all. It was just a creamy broth with a lonely carrot strand in it. If you go there for take out, make sure you check everything before you leave. Next time we will go to Hana as their curry is delicious and filled with veggies and the protein we ordered. The restaurant does have nice signage on the exterior. read more

Crab rangoons were a bit lacking, but the drunken noodle and penang curry were fantastic.

Came here with my roommate right before the end of the semester and enjoyed a great meal here! I had been here once before with my mom. We really liked the food here and thought it was very yummy! With that being said, I was super excited to finally return with my roommate. It wasn't super busy when we went for lunch, but the service was just as good as I remembered. They are understaffed, but they do a great job trying to keep up with everyone. Our waiter was the sweetest and I thought she did an excellent job! She was actually the same one from my last visit. Located in Midtown, it is right by campus which is super convenient. But if you do have a car, it could be tricky finding a parking space. We ended up ordering the lunch size Beef Pad See Ew and some sushi. I have never had their sushi, but remembered their noodle dishes being really good! The Pad Sew Ew was consisted of stir fried flat rice noodles with egg, carrots, and broccoli in a brown sauce with beef. Really, really loved the savory flavors of this dish. The noodles were cooked nicely, the beef was flavorful and tender, the vegetables were cooked well, and the dish itself wasn't overly saucy. Very good and we both really liked it. It also was the perfect size for the two of us to split! For our sushi, my roommate ended up ordering some nigiri while I ordered a specialty roll and some seaweed salad. I landed on the Three Knights Roll which included tuna, salmon, cucumber, avocado, topped with yellowtail, tobiko, eel sauce, and spicy kimchi sauce. This roll was really tasty and balanced. There wasn't too much rice or too much sauce. I thought they put a nice amount of fish in the roll as well. My roommate and I agreed the fish was very fresh as well I was impressed with the sushi and wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was! Might become our sushi spot in Midtown from here on out. Overall, Tup Tim Thai didn't disappoint and we left very satisfied with our meal. The service is great and our waiter did a wonderful job and was attentive. I really enjoy the atmosphere too, I think it completes the experience when dining here. The food was just as good as I remembered. The Pad See Ew was balanced, with the right amount of noodles, sauce, meat, and vegetables. We both thoroughly enjoyed our sushi and were impressed with the freshness of it as well as the presentation. With that being said, we 100% will be returning. I think this is the best place to grab Asian food in Midtown by far!! read more

The quantity of food included in the lunch special is very good for the cost. I ordered the chicken hibachi and absolutely loved the presentation. The addition of 2 gyoza was a nice touch and they were quite delicious. The rice and vegetables were prepared beautifully and were full of flavor. The chicken was a bit over cooked and as a result was a little dry. I finished the water I was drinking and it took several minutes before the waitress came and refilled it. read more

So I stopped in here late Friday night to indulge in my latest craving, drunken noodles. There were not many people dining in however, the foot traffic consisted of locals and students did using a delivery service or takeout as it's very close to campus. The interior was clean and decorated with different trinkets that represented the Asian culture/aesthetics. I glanced over the menu which had a great variety of traditional Thai dishes to sushi. I went with miso soup and drunken noodles with fried tofu as my protein. The servers were nice and helpful. The miso was very light and good. I like that it small pieces of tofu unlike most miso soups that have larger tofu pieces in it. I have to say the portion sizes here are huge but for a great price. The drunken noodles were delicious! The sauce was a great balance of that sweet and spicy flavor . The chewy noodles and fresh veggies were coated perfectly in that amazing sauce as well. The fried tofu was so good too. It soaked up the sauce and I really couldn't stop eating it. I did end up getting my soup and noodles to go because the portions were big. I spent about $19 after tax, which was not bad. Overall, I will definitely make another trip here to Tup Tim as the food was very fresh and tasty, and the portion size in addition to the price were great. read more

Thai food for people who haven't had Thai food. Meaning it's a bit bland and middle-of-the-road. Safe to try as a gateway Pad Thai, but not bursting with spice or flavor. Specifically, the noodles were too chewy and the sauce was too oily. Despite the friendly service and modest prices, I don't love this place. I've had far tastier and authentic Thai dishes around the U.S. (and Europe). read more

It wasn't the absolute best sushi or Thai food I've ever had, but still really good! You get a good portion for the price. I liked that the pad thai was tangier than most places I've tried. I recommend going for hot if you're looking for some heat beyond just a little kick. I think they were understaffed when we went. The waitresses were amazing and doing their best, but the service and food came out a bit slower than what I would've liked. The ambiance is fine with ample seating. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it can fill up on a busy night so plan ahead. read more

My family and I had a pleasant dinner at this location. There is one in West Palm (or closely named,) which we enjoy so we came here. We had one order each of the fried rolls (Spring and Tup Tim) both were very good. The rest of the meal was beef fried rice, pork drunken noodles, pad thia and tofu soup which were all good too. Seats in our booth were crack and could be redone. A little updating could be done, but nice place read more

Decided to check this place out. It is located in the downtown of Gainesville and they have a small parking lot reserved for the restaurant itself. We came here for lunch and decided to try their panang curry and pad see ew, which are two of the common Thai dishes. The Pad see ew was little too salty but ingredients were fresh. The panang curry on the other hand was a bit bland. For the price point, I think the place is a good Thai restaurant to consider checking out. Will come back to try more foods! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was genuinely gross. The restaurant felt dirty, the service was slow and inattentive, and the staff seemed more focused on hanging out with each other than helping guests. The food was disappointing the chicken in the pad thai was rubbery and tasted old, like it had been sitting. The bang bang shrimp was slightly burnt. The kitchen staff was also wearing sandals and out socializing with staff. honestly says everything about the level of cleanliness. After finding a foreign object in my food, I paid and left. I'm shocked this place is still open. read more

This place is always incredible. My favorite restaurant in Gainesville. I recommend the Tom Kha soup (Tom Kha Gai) and the Pad Thai but everything I've tried is mouthwatering. I absolutely love tup tim thai! They might have had some questionable experiences or issues/news, but I personally have never had a bad or rude experience in the 10+ visits as a college student. The restaurant is quite clean and the servers are always nice (sometimes very busy). I love the tup tim sampler and always got the chicken drunken noodles (medium) and it hits the spot every time. The portions are huge and I almost always have leftovers. My friend has had some weird tasting tofu in her drunken noodles on a few of our visits, but overall still delicious. Though I haven't tried them, I also heard the thai tea and the mango sticky rice are a must for sweet treats. read more

6p Fri. Pty 2. Parking somewhat difficult behind restaurant, but worth the trouble. Close to U.F. campus Interior subdued but appropriate. Staff friendly. I LUUUUUUUV TUP TIM THAIIII seriously have never had a bad time here. Always ends up being a silly little lunch. Thai tea here is soooo yummy. Tom Cuh soup is absolutely stellar here. The sushi pad Thai combo is so wonderful (pad Thai is not a 10/10 but for the price it's pretty good). Sushi is also pretty good!! Nothing super special tasting but again, the combo is a great bang for ur buck, it's quick service, their soup is always good, and it's conveniently located especially when u walk from campus! I love this place and will always suggest it for lunch. read more

We were passing through Gainesville on a road trip. Stopped here for dinner. I really enjoyed the Tom Ka Guy soup. It was super creamy and coconutty. My husband had the crispy duck. He gives it a 3.5 out of 5. The Yum Beef Salad was not my thing. It was a dish I had never had before. So it's not that the salad was bad, it just was not something my taste buds enjoyed. Service was quick! Maybe next time we come through I'll try the fried rice. I heard some students talking about it and that made me want to try it. Parking is down a small & tight side street. Park behind the building. Not the noodles & bagel one...they have towing signs up. read more

I started off with ordering the Tom Yum soup, but it seems that I got the Tom Kha (coconut soup). Regardless, it was delicious! I got it "hot" and my mouth is on fire so couldn't easily done medium. But still very delicious and flavorful. Freshly made. My main was the pad see ew with chicken. It was a bit middling but good. A bit sweet and not much spice despite asking for hot. But it was good. I would come back next time I'm in Gainesville. The wine is super cheap and a large pour, so that's definitely a plus too! read more

The Pad Thai is great in flavor, however the cooks CANNOT get the spice level consistent at all. Often my friends and I might order all types from zero spice to hot, and none will be spicy. Or the opposite -- They'll ALL be spicy. Just today my friend and I ordered one hot and one mild, and both were very spicy. I've learned to ask for "no spice" and hope for the best but it is unfortunate a spicy food place cannot standardize their levels of spice. read more

Would give 3.75. The food was delicious and authentic however the service was lacking. There was only one waitress, acting as hostess as well, serving all of the occupied tables (about 10). I decided to update my review because I have had some not-so-great experiences. The main thing is that the wait for take out orders is not reliable at all. Each time I have ordered, they said around a 40 minute wait, which is understandable if they are busy, but when I got there on time, I still had to wait around 30-40 extra minutes to actually get my food. This was not a problem of my own, as there were 3-4 people all waiting for our orders. They either need to give a more accurate wait time or make sure that the takeout orders are prepared in a timely manner (as the sit down orders are). They seemed to be understaffed currently as there was no one in charge of greeting and checking the takeout orders, so servers had to rush back and forth in a disorganized way. I remembered the Drunken Noodles to be very good here so I decided to get some for takeout, but I was very disappointed with it tasting so different. It used to be really flavorful and spicy, but even though I ordered it spicy this time, it was not spicy at all. It seems like they changed the recipe as there were chopped tomatoes and a slight curry flavor to it. I liked that there were a variety of vegetables and the portion was large, but it was missing that soy sauce and spicy flavor that it once had. I probably won't be going back to Tup Tim for takeout. read more

Overall 5/5 Food 5/5: yooooooo the food was bombbbbbb. I ordered the trust me roll, drunken noodles, dragon roll, án the emerald roll. Sooooooo good! The fish was so fresh and the presentation was beautiful for the sushi. I was nervous getting the trust me roll because I wasn't sure what I would get, but y'all know imma order that every time I come here! I never thought kiwi would be good on sushi, but, hey, it's pretty good! Sushi on point!!!! The drunken noodles were perfectly seasoned and the texture was nice a chewy. This is definitely a dish you want is you wanna carbo-load. It's a dish for cheat day xD but still bomb. Service 5/5: super sweet servers and made sure we had everything we needed Atmosphere: pretty nice place! A lot of people come here pretty casual, though. But could be nice enough for a first date, I would say. Big recommend! read more

I'm currently sitting in their restaurant that is absolutely packed and nobody has food. There are two employees I see that are not helpful. We place it to go order and upon arrival they said they stopped fulfilling to go orders. And I received a confirmation for my order as well. Terrible food, terrible service, AND terrible management. I want to complete refund. $50.98. NOW icing on the cake, their board says sorry not hiring - management. A complete joke. read more

Ended up at Tup Tim Thai, as the restaurant we intended to go to was closed for winter break! It had been on my list of places to try, so it was meant to be. I ordered the drunken noodles at medium spice level and it was the perfect amount of heat for me! If you are sensitive to spice, I would definitely be cautious if adding spiciness. This is the second time I've been here and the second time I've had the drunken noodles. There were just as addictively flavorful as the first time I had them. I ordered spice level 3 then looked on in horror as waitress gave my friend, who ordered level 2, the medium one and gave me the hot one. There are 5 levels of spice so naturally I thought 3 was medium. No sir. Make sure you try the slices before ordering them, otherwise your stomach lining will not forgive you. It's always a friendly atmosphere and the staff are always welcoming so for them and the food I highly recommend this place. read more
