Pokébowl Station - Custom tuna poke - Poke Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

It's been a minute since I last ate here, but man I forgot what a gem this place is! Pokebowl Station offers a variety of curated and customizable poke bowls, along with sushi burritos. The options here are truly endless and they have so many different toppings to choose from. If customizing your bowl is too overwhelming, they have a good selection of curated bowls too. The interior is pretty clean and the atmosphere is perfect for casual occasions. The service is amiable and efficient. They do a great job dealing with the influx of customers and handling orders quickly--without sacrificing quality or skimping on portions. Every time I've come here I have customized a bowl. I have found that is the best way to get exactly what I'm looking for. Customizing bowls doesn't include a major upcharge like most other bowl places either. I appreciate all the different proteins they have, catering to meat eater or non meat eaters. The tuna and salmon are always fresh and delicious. The selection of toppings makes it so you can genuinely try something new every visit. Pokebowl Station is an excellent spot if you are craving something healthy, quick, and affordable. The food is really fresh and has lots of flavors. They offer variety, good service, and large portions--what more could you want? I am looking forward to my next visit! read more

Stopped in to try their sushi burrito and wasn't disappointed! Parking is street parking as there is no designated parking lot. This is located across from the University. They have a wide selection to choose from and I built my own sushi burrito. The tuna and salmon were very fresh. The rice was perfectly cooked. I ordered a Thai bubble tea. Workers were super friendly and polite. You can sit inside or outside. read more

The Thai tea was awful. It had wayyyyy to much milk and not enough tea or sweetener. 1/5 The Mango Spark was delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness and was amazing 5/5. I haven't been able to get a poke bowl which is why I am being gracious. I will admit that the prices here are also somewhat pricey, however, the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice! Staff were also very welcoming and inviting. read more

ORDER - PokeBowl (build your own) - Honey Green Tea with Boba I got a poke bowl with sushi rice, cucumbers, green onions, spicy salmon, sesame shoyu, special sauce, masago, pineapples, crispy onions, seaweed salad, and dried seaweed Overall it was pretty good for the price compared to a lot of poke bowls in Texas. Decent-sized portions for the price. The ingredients are overall fresh and it tasted good. I really liked how sweet the pineapples were. The only thing I would say is that some of the seafood-based things tasted a little bit fishier but it didn't take away from the overall dish. Other than that, good overall! I ordered the Honey Green Tea at normal sweetness and ice and it was a lot on the sweeter side which I don't mind but it was a little overpowered on the sweet levels which took away from the tea flavor. I really liked the boba though! Boba was chewy but also firm as well! Generous amount of boba was given too! VIBES A decent amount of seating is available - on the smaller side but not too bad. Would be a great place for college grab-and-go! Bright decorations and pretty minimalist but clean! SERVICE The service was great! The staff was respectful and quick to finish drinks and get food out. No complaints here! read more

This place has been busy both times I went in, lots of college students. Personally, as someone with ASD the music was too loud on top of the conversational noise- people were having to talk over the music. I had to strain my ears to hear my friend & we had to repeat ourselves many many times. I ended up eating in my car lol. Other than that, the customer service was perfect. They were kind, friendly, approachable, and to-the-point. Both times I've been, I've ordered a build your own bowl. They offer great portions of salmon, tuna, etc. for the prices they charge! The salmon and tuna were both great; both consistencies were soft, barely chewy, and melted in my mouth. Their add-ins were fresh, rice was perfect, etc. I ordered a mango tea and it was also great! Honestly, 10/10. read more

One bowl was merely an OK Bowl Another was gross, a No Way Bowl But when down in Gainesville My sharp hunger pains will Keep bringing me back to Pokebowl! It's yummy, for your information And the drinks provide perfect hydration Their Boba is perfect Like L'Oreal, it's Worth It So get straight down to Pokebowl Station! My notes said: Amazing Boba shop with some of the best Boba in town, the BSMT was insane and she made it off menu for me exactly how I wanted it - perfect. Within walking distance of a Boba shop owned by friends of mine is this larger, roomier, more cozy and just-as-delicious boba palace, which also has excellent Poke, and prices are very reasonable for the droves of college students that come by and near here (and the smart ones come in). I also absolutely love the decor here. It's huge with lots of cozy corners and lots of cute stuff. They have some of the friendliest service in town and some really nice friendly and cute customers and some of the best products in a town that is somewhat lacking good Boba products (although not by Florida standards, by which it's a pretty decent Boba town). So this is not only five stars but one of my top recommendations for the whole town. I'll definitely bring the sexy dominatrix girl here and I'll definitely be back whenever in Gainesville, or even when in Lossesville. Florida, despite my frustration Has the worst Boba in the nation But Gainesville has a few That I will return to And one of those is Pokebowl Station! read more

PokeBowl Station was a great lunch option. I enjoyed the selection of fresh ingredients, and the attentiveness of the staff. Very good salmon poke bowl! Veggies are not chopped into the tiniest bits. This place gives you ample-sized chunks of the add-ons and is not stingy with toppings and proteins. The salmon is large, fresh, and delicious. Not salty nor over smoked. Truly sushi quality and added to your bowl with a good, moderately generous hand! Even without the aioli and poke sauce, this bowl was scrumptious and well-seasoned. Will definitely order here again! Cannot believe that even food ordered as delivery is as good as food served for indoor dining. read more

The poke bowls I've gotten here have been good. The tea and egg waffles are delicious. There is a lot you can order here. I'm not sure of you can customize the sugar content of the drinks like a lot of places in town. Overall, the food is pretty darn good. This place is conveignet if you are on campus, but if you aren't there is absolutely no parking. I wish I could eat lunch here more often, but I will not pay for parking in midtown. read more

My friend hyped it up so we all went for some poke bowl one night and it was not a disappointment at all. You can tell by the looks and taste that the ingredients were fresh. Since we're eating raw fish, it is absolutely important that the fish is as fresh as it can be and this place nailed it. The fish was so fresh that it did not leave a fishy taste to my mouth at all. Besides the fish, they give you a variety of toppings to put on your bowl FREE of charge (the avocado is the only one that is $1 additional). By the time I got to pay for my food at the end of the counter, my bowl was stacked. The great thing about this place is that you are able to customize your bowl so you don't have to choose a preset one on the menu. In fact, if you plan on getting 2 or more meat then I recommend you get the customized bowl because it may be a dollar or two cheaper compared to the menu. In addition to the bowl, I also got a green tea egg waffle with chocolate chip mint ice cream with two chocolate pocky sticks, mochi, and honey red bean with condensed milk drizzled on top. Just take a look at my picture and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It was delicious but I do wish they gave you two scoops of ice cream instead of one, especially for the price of $8. My overall score: Food quality: 5/5 Food taste: 5/5 Price: 4/5 (~$14 for 3 meat customized bowl, $8 for dessert) Portion size: 5/5 Service: 5/5 (it's not a waiter/waitress kinda restaurant but more of an Asian Chipotle type of place) Variety of food: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 This place is definitely worth checking out and I highly recommend getting a customized bowl and make sure you try their Poke style sauce. read more

Amazing place! Directly across the street from campus which makes it a prime place to get poke. The interior is very clean and sleek, which is a relief to see especially during the pandemic. The pricing is dependent on how many proteins you decide to get, with the cheapest being 8.95 plus tax. I definitely believe this to be a fair deal especially when considering the quality and quantity to other nearby places. All the ingredients tasted fresh and quality. You can go crazy with toppings for free and they offer a great variety with options that other places would charge extra for. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for anyone close to campus craving poke. This place is definitely up there for my top poke spots in gainesville. Cheaper than most and still great quality and taste!! They also have boba for anyone wanting to try it, although i didn't on my visit. read more

This place is the best for poke bowls in Gainesville. The food is absolutely amazing and you get unlimited toppings so it's worth the price. The space is very casual, and I especially enjoy eating in the nice little outdoor space. read more

Compared to other similar restaurants in Gainesville (Bento, Sus Hi, etc.), Pokébowl Station is the best bang for your buck when it comes to poke bowls! The cheapest option for their rice bowl is $8.95 and comes with one protein. However, the real steal here is that the toppings are unlimited. Because of how much I load up on toppings, I'm always full and very satisfied before I can finish my bowl, so I say you definitely get your money's worth here. If you don't want to create your own bowl, they have preset options on the menu, too. I've also tried a few of their bubble teas and have enjoyed those as well. Because Pokébowl Station is conveniently located in midtown, it is a great place to check out if you live on or near UF campus or if you need a food break in between classes or study sessions on campus. This is THE spot for poke bowls and I can't see myself going anywhere else! read more

Great food, awesome service! We got a filling yet light meal here. The staff were super friendly, and the restaurant was nice and clean.

Overall this was a very good choice. Large portions. Lots of options. Nice combinations of flavors. Our vegetarian described it as "too fishy" though he only had seaweed as a topping. So be aware if you're thinking about it - the options can be vegetarian but may not suit all pallets. read more

So Poké bowls are still a bit of a foreign concept to me, so this will be my second time having one and it did not disappoint! They have some pretty great base options ranging from spicy tuna to salmon. But what I personally liked the most were the endless mix-ins you can add to your bowl. Some of my personal favorites were the seaweed salad and wasabi peas. The guy working behind the counter was also super helpful in suggesting toppings I might like. Overall, pretty delicious poké bowl! The ambience of this little place was super cute too, it's the perfect place to meet up for lunch with your friends and have a nice chat. The only thing that could've been better was the boba tea. They come in only a limited amount of flavors (which is totally fine) but mine was a bit too sweet and the boba seemed a bit overcooked. But all in all, my friend and I really enjoyed this place and would still come back again! read more

This was my first time here and I've got to say the menu is a bit overwhelming when you walk in. You can get everything from poke bowls to tea to ice cream in one location. That being said, I walked up and ordered a signature poke bowl, the Hawaii Sunset. The cashier asked me what rice I would like and then set off to make my bowl. At that moment I realized I could have customized my bowl. However, I am glad I did not on my first go as I think I would have created an odd combination of things I liked (much like when you get a little crazy at a froyo place). The bowl was spicier than I thought it would be, but I should have heeded the pepper sign next to it on the menu. In the future I think I will make my own bowl as I had a chance to thoroughly look at all the options while I was there. I would also be interested in trying their teas as they looked delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was bright, clean, and pleasant with the option to sit outside if the Florida sun was not so relentless. If you like sushi and trying new flavors, this is the place for you-- check it out! read more

Food was delicious as always but the service was terrible. The girl that helped me was so rude and had such a terrible attitude from the moment we walked in. Told her we were vegetarian and we were very specific on what we wanted and she tried to serve us shrimp right after I told her. Then the worker got even more mad at us for telling her "stop no shrimp we just told you we are vegetarian." Probably won't come back after such a horrible experience read more

Went yesterday as part of their grand opening. I was really, really satisfied when I left. The food was yummy and there was so much of it I had enough to save for later. The milk tea was really great too! I love poke bowls and Ill definitely be back. Some things did put me off though and I'll fault it to the fact that I went their first day of opening. 1. My friend was choosing his toppings and there was a bit of a language/hearing barrier. He ended up being pressured into eating some toppings that he didn't necessarily ask for. Note to management; Maybe placing the names of the toppings on the glass or explaining how many toppings you can choose. 2. In my own bowl, I had asked for avocado and was not told that it was an extra dollar. Not a big surprise but it would have been nice to been told "avocado is extra" 3. While sitting down I noticed a table that was very close to the table my friend and I had chosen. People would have to squeeze through these two tables. I l feel like it's almost not worth mentioning but it was uncomfortably cluttered. The rest of the restaurant was beautifully decorated!!! read more

Happy to say that Pokebowl station will be my new go-to place for boba, especially since it is so close to campus! Although I'm unsure of whether you can customize sugar content like you can at other places, their honey green tea had the perfect level of sweetness and their bubbles were the best I've had yet in Gainesville (the bubbles do come out pretty warm though depending on when they made it). I also tried their egg waffles -you can customize everything from the flavor of the waffle (I chose matcha) to the ice cream (matcha again) and then three toppings (I chose red bean, mango, and strawberry with condensed milk syrup). It did take about 10 minutes for the waffle to come out but it was freshly baked, flavorful, and the fruit was fresh. It is very messy to eat, however, so it would be best to eat it there instead of on-the-go. I came back again to try their fresh fruit tea and was pleased to find that their four season spring tea with fruit came with a lot of fruit in it-blueberries, oranges, pineapple, and lemon. I would want to try their poke bowls next time. It would also be good if they sold reusable metal straws, as their cups are very sturdy and could be reused at least once if you needed. read more

I love that we now have a poke place near campus. The location is super convenient for students or for employees at UF who want to stop by for a quick lunch break. To be honest, I felt a little queasy after eating, but others who I've spoken to said they felt fine after, so maybe it was just me.
