This was by far the best boba I have ever had! I got the match red bean slush with boba and it was absolutely amazing!!

Come here all the time. Love the variety of teas available and being able to swap the types of teas with the flavor. I've never tried their food but it's my go-to spot in Gainesville for fruit teas. (I'm not a Boba person but I'm a tea lover and I love that some of their fruit teas have fruit pieces in them) i Klondike that they do limited time drinks and promos. Staff is always super friendly and my boyfriend and I are here so much they recognize us read more

I usually come to Kung Fu Tea for boba, and their Brown Sugar Boba is my go-to--it's always perfect! There was one time the texture was off, but they mentioned switching distributors, so I hope that's been fixed. I haven't ordered it in a few months, but I'm looking forward to trying it again. This time, I was hungry, and my usual ramen spot was closed, so I decided to try their food. I got it to go since they were about to close in an hour. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and Crab Rangoons. The ramen had a decent broth, and the portion was filling. The broth was creamy but lacked the deep, slow-simmered richness you'd expect. The noodles had a good texture but weren't as firm and chewy as fresh ramen should be. The toppings--tender pork, green onions, and an egg--were satisfying. I wish the pork was as melt-in-your-mouth as proper chashu. It's a convenient option if you're already there, but for a truly rich tonkotsu experience, I'd go elsewhere. The Crab Rangoons were crispy and had a nice balance of creamy and savory filling. Overall, Kung Fu Tea is still my favorite spot for boba, and I'm excited to come back to see if the consistency has improved! read more

A comforting bowl of ramen and a surprise treat--Kung Fu Tea delivers! I came in for the spicy tonkatsu ramen, and honestly, it blew me away. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and had just the right level of heat--bold but balanced. The noodles were perfectly al dente, holding up beautifully in the soup. But what truly stood out was the fresh seaweed--not dried, but tender and savory, adding an earthy depth that reminded me of the seaweed my grandmother once brought back from China. That touch of nostalgia alone was worth the visit. The pork and egg were decent, but the broth and noodles stole the show. Just pure umami goodness. To my surprise, they offered me a free drink, and I chose the winter melon tea--light, smooth, and naturally sweet, a great pairing with the spicy ramen. While I enjoyed it, I still personally prefer their matcha milk with anko--a perfect combo of creamy, earthy, and just the right hint of sweetness. Great food, kind service, and a cozy atmosphere--an easy five stars. I'll definitely be back! read more

I finally visited Kung Fu Tea in Gainesville and I loved it! The menu was massive and they had a little bit of everything: milk tea, green tea, black tea, lattes, smoothies, slushes, and more. You can add boba or tapioca, jelly, pudding, popping boba, red beans and lots of other toppings to your drink too. They use lactose-free milk (Lactaid) in all of their milk tea drinks which I think is pretty cool. I ordered the Mango Green Tea w/Mango Jelly + Oreo Wow Milk Strike w/Boba. I know, I know. Yes I ordered two drinks lol. I ordered the Mango Green Tea at first and it was SO good. Then I was like, I need another drink for the road because I don't live anywhere nearby. So yeah, you've got to check out Kung Fu Tea if you're a fan of boba tea like me. read more

Heard this place had good ramen so we stopped in and gave it a try. It was good, slightly above average. The gyoza were also good. Their main strength is their teas. Excellent selection, too many in fact. While good ramen is hard to find in Gainesville, Kung Fu does a pretty good job. read more

This was my first time at this location. This will be a short review, because I went to go pick up a drink for my sister-in-law (SIL). -The shop followed pandemic protocols which was good: mask, distancing stickers, no seating, had hand sanitizer available, etc. (Coming from a health care worker, the only thing I do recommend is a more fit and snug mask, b/c a lot of the times their masks were drooping and they kept fixing it. This way it is safer for the customer and staff, helps prevent the spread of germs). -The staff were nice and friendly. -The prices were reasonable! -MY SIL enjoyed her drink when we brought it to her!!! ALSO a plus, when you check into YELP, you get a free topping ( I don't remember the specifics, but YEAH!) Thanks Yelp and KFT! Anyway, I recommend this place! :-) Enjoy~ read more

I love passion fruit tea and spicy tonkotsu ramen, it is the best ramen I have ever had.

My boyfriend and I came here because we both love boba tea and had never tried Kung Fu Tea. He got the mango milk tea with the brown sugar boba and I got the taro milk tea with the honey boba. Mine was super good! His mango was a bit too sweet and didn't really taste like any other mango milk boba I had tried anywhere else before. I also thought the brown sugar boba was just too sweet and overpowered the drink. But service was quick as we didn't have to wait long for the drinks and everyone was nice. read more

I really love the boba here! It is our go to place for some boba tea and some tasty spring rolls.

This place was absolutely worth the trip during my trip to Gainesville FL. It was my first time trying a Slush drink at a Japanese shop and it was really awesome. It was very sweet but not too sweet that could make your teeth or stomach hurt so that was great to know. It was so worth coming here. Can't wait for the next trip when I come back to Gainesville. :) read more

I don't like beans in my drinks, not even MUNG FU If you brought the tea, it's already been BRUNG FU If you're seventeen, sorry bae, but you're too YOUNG FU But if you want Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU! It makes some of the rivals taste like eating cow DUNG FU It's at the top of the ladder, while you're on the lowest RUNG FU You'll love if you're easy going, even highly STRUNG FU So if you want a Lemon Black Tea, you come to KUNG FU WHAT What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! My notes say: Service was ok, not sure why all the FL kft seem to make it more lemony, more sour, not much black tea, always same, and iffy boba A bee flew in here and got me on the arm while I was ordering. Should be named Stung Fu Tea. All of the Kung Fu Tea locations in Florida seem to make their drinks taste more like lemon than the other locations around the country. I love lemon but in this case it's too much of a good thing makes it less good. You don't really taste a lot of black tea in these, and the Boba that comes with it is often a little stale. Gainesville was yet another example of this, similar to my experiences in Tampa and other FL spots. This one is quiet and peaceful and kind of in the middle of nowhere in terms of Gainesville, as it's not really on the main strip or close to it, but it's the same story for several other Boba and Asian dessert spots too. And they have really really nice decor, as do most Florida KFT locations. When it gets busy in here it's hard to breathe. Need an extra Lung Fu Tea. Service was okay but the drink itself was one of those typical Florida Kung Fu Teas which is just a little off. And partly the reason may be that they all have the same owner so they're all using the same recipe or formula or lemon puree, something to that effect, which kind of is a little sour and dominates the drink. They're not bad though and I was at least glad that it was here. So if you have nothing to do And your partner won't give you a screw I know something better And very much wetter Get Lemon Black Tea from Kung Fu! read more

The Kung Fu Milk Tea with Boba is my favorite milk tea in all of Gainesville. It has exceptional tea flavor, perfect level of sweetness, and the boba are divine. They are just right on texture and flavor. $4.50 for a large is comparable to other competitors and a fair price in my opinion. Unfortunately for this review, every time I go here I do not get anything other than this tea because it is so wonderful. I have had a sip of the Oreo milk and that was really yummy too. read more

Do not sleep on Kung Fu! I have tried so many drinks and add-in combinations here and everything has been delicious. The texture of their slushes is perfect, so smooth and creamy! My personal favorite drink is Winter Melon Green Tea - no cream- regular sweetness level and ice and add in boba. I may have a problem as I get this at least once a week. If you're looking for something a little sour try the Strawberry Lemonade Green Tea and I suggest the strawberry jelly as an add-in. Sour, sweet, tangy...and even has real fruit pieces The ramen and chicken nuggets are tasty here too! I was surprised the black garlic ramen is as good as it is since Kung Fu is mostly beverages but dang they nailed it! Service is quick. Bathrooms are clean read more

I would like to say I'm a boba enthusiast trying boba all over the world. Kung fu tea for Florida standards never disappoints regarding their fruit teas in my opinion. They're never too sweet and always super fresh. I wanted to try something different with the pomelo green tea and wow oh woowww I LOVE the shaved skins added to the drink. I love aloe so I got aloe jelly as well. If you're in the area I definitely suggest you to check it out! Pro tip: it's a good waiting spot if you're trying to dine in Yummy House! read more

We came to Kung Fu Tea on a slightly busy Sunday, but there still weren't that many people in this restaurant. Ordered two ramens and grilled combos because we wanted to try out the food here. All 4 dishes took around 20 minutes to come out. Ramen- The broth of the ramen was not hot, it was lukewarm at best and didn't contain that much flavor. The pork was shredded(?) and was cold. The noodles weren't cooked right and were soggy. They also forgot to include an egg in my ramen when it's clearly in the photo. Grilled Combos- Slightly better than the ramen. Rice was a little hard but the meat was decent. They forgot to bring out the sides of miso soup so when we asked them they gave it to us to go. Overall, the food in this place isn't the best and we definitely wouldn't come back for the food. The bubble tea is also just decent at best, bubbles weren't cooked well and the tea was bland. read more

This place is amazing if you wanna have a quick bite. Me and friends love their boba Tea, ofcourse! I usually have their Regular Milk Tea and Taru milk [with boba]. We also had a chance to taste their appetizers like the fried calamari and shrimp[soo crispy and fresh]. However, recently I ordered Samurai Crispy chicken and it was a bit soggy. Not sure, if it's because I ordered through Doordash. I wasn't a fan of it. Other than that, the interior atmosphere is great. read more

There are a bunch of boba tea shops in Gainesville now, but KFT is special because it feels the most authentic. The teas aren't overly sweet or artificial. My favorites are the oolong milk tea or the winter melon milk tea. I love how they have winter melon tea as other shops don't have this tea often. They also have surprisingly good food! Last time I came, I had the tonkatsu ramen. In my opinion, it was slightly better than the ramen at Crane Ramen. At $10.99 for a bowl of tonkatsu, it was also cheaper than Crane Ramen. I loved the broth and all the included add ons. This might be the best bowl of ramen I've had in Gainesville to date. I'll definitely be back for more ramen in the future! They also have other food options I haven't tried yet, but I look forward to trying them soon. Pro tip: be sure to check in on yelp for a free add on to your tea. Overall, I would recommend KFT to everyone who hasn't tried it yet. Great tea, great ramen, what more can you ask for? read more
