Came in and seated promptly. Was expecting a great dining experience like our last visit. Staff came by took our drink order and apps. Came back to table shortly to let us know they were unable to make a margarita and they had run out of Coors. Came back to the table to inform us that they no longer served the grouper bites app. When taking or mains order they advised the only steak they had was the 9 oz sirloin. Apps came out the fried squash was greasy with the breading falling off or nonexistent, the dumplings were ok but a little dry. Salads and soup came out and were both good. Mains were shrimp po' boy, fried fish and shrimp, along with a sushi roll. Fish and shrimp was a huge disappointment. Fish was so greasy and the breading was falling off the shrimp due to the grease. It caused me to do something I never do.....I sent it back. . The shrimp po' boy was just as greasy but my wife felt bad for the waitress, tried to eat it but wouldn't send it back. The potato dippers were room temp. The waitress was very nice, understanding and offered to make things right. They took the fish and shrimp were taken off the bill and she offered to have the kitchen remake the order, which I declined. The sushi roll was great so at least 1 item hit the mark. Overall not a good experience and really disappointed that at no point did anyone from management come over to discuss our issues. They were not busy and not sure what issues they were having in the kitchen but WOW!!! Such a difference between our first visit and today. Not sure we will be back and hope anyone else that try's this place has a better experience than we did. So at the end of the meal we asked the waitress if there was a manger on site to which she replied there was and would she like if we wanted to speak with them. I asked if they were aware of our issues to which she replied "yes". I told her there was no need since management was aware but had no desire to come out and attempt to address the issues. Goes to a lack of management skills and overall no concern about the customer or the quality of their food. Leaving hungry, disappointed and perplexed. Easy solid strong four or more. While the food was enjoyable enough there were several many eyebrow furrowing shortcomings with the waitress. So, they sort of have an eclectic "chef's menu", if you will, mixed with sushi and Asian bowls, a few Cajun offerings, expense account steakhouse steaks, and even a Mexican restaurant out back, Ella Cocina; all promising an elevated, higher experience by the look and feel of things. We really enjoyed the food. Sushi was very good. French dip with roasted parmesan cauliflower was very good. Same for the flounder fish and shrimp, somebody here can cook. Spoonful of slaw was delicious. So, no drafts (bottles only) and something or other about a machine mixes up their libations for them, so they couldn't make a Bloody Mary on the fly because it wasn't programmed into their menu. Second time stopping in. Not a lot open on a Monday here. Even on a Tuesday not a lot of great food out this way. We stopped in for early supper/late lunch. Ordered the twin pork chops.. wow!! I asked for peach BBQ sauce on the side. The chops did NOT need any sauce. Just yummy as is! Same is true about the salad, btw. Ranch dressing was overkill for all the yummy veggies in there. Mashed potatoes were nice too. Kudos to the chef!! Still have Christmas decor up.. it's growing on me;) I never give 5 stars but it was deserved today! read more

This was our second time coming to this local establishment. First time was about 3 months after they opened. Was not impressed as many items on menu on Sunday at noon when they just opened weren't available (didn't have it). Chalked the visit up to new business and ordering issues. Fast forward to this past Monday for an early dinner.. walked in and one family was eating. There were 2 other tables that hadn't been bussed. No one at the front to welcome us either. After waiting a few minutes a young lady came out from the kitchen and apologized for our wait. We were then seated and the waitress informed us that she was the hostess, waitress and might have to be the cook at some point . (Not off to a great 2nd visit ) Waitress was very nice (not her fault of the work environment) . Our order was taken and food came out quickly. Food was tasty with the exception of my burger which in my opinion was wayyy too spicy/seasoned and smoked- but the menu said it was a smoked bacon jam burger. Nevertheless I ate it and moved on to dessert... went with a key lime dessert; other choices were banana pudding or Cheesecake Factory cheesecake which was odd. If I wanted a Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake I'd have driven there. I'm not sure if we're going g to give this place a 3rd try. This was a much needed addition to the very slim restaurant options in the area. Not only did they provide a nicer venue than most, but the food is very good. We have been several times and the steaks never disappoint. I've never had anything I didn't like... except the banana pudding (that was awful). When sushi was added to the menu, I was skeptical, but once again it wasn't just good, but impressive. This is our area's "nice" restaurant and I'm hoping it continues to thrive. read more

Well we came across this trstaurant by chance as the actually place we wanted to eat was closed on Sundays. So we were already close by so we took a chance and opted for the green barn. We were sat down right away and our waitress was very friendly. We ordered our food, and everything came out in an orderly fashion.just right, my salmon tasted awesome. This place is a hidden gem! We ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes and gravy, and vegetable medley. The salmon had a bourbon peach compete and a "Elle Cocina Cowboy Sauce" which they apparently acquired from the neighboring restaurant. Both were phenomenal! Everything was cooked to perfection! We had our dogs with us so we ordered carryout , but it was as good as the last time when we ate inside. The atmosphere is very nice without being pretentious. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was surprisingly upscale for being in a "Barn". Average cost, with desert, was was less than $20 per person, moderately priced. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with the Vegetable Medley and Chopped Salad. My wife had the Ramen Noodle Bowl and the two friends both had the Karaage Bowl. We also had the Edamame for an appetizer. No complaints on the Edamame and Salad. Both were as expected. The entrees however were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed them and we will be back. The $41 Rib Eye was 1/4 " thick and pitiful. No taste at all. If you wanted bread, you had to pay $1.50 for it. Shame on them for a "PRIME STEAK HOUSE".The vegetables were in a ramiken and had bread crumbs on top and were dried out. I would not go back. read more

On our first visit, our service was mediocre. Our waitress hardly spoke unless asking us if everything was wonderful. We were never offered bread for our table as everyone else was. We noticed this once our meal was finished. Considering the name of the restaurant, we thought sure their beef would be great. However, my husband ordered the $41 ribeye steak which was 50% thick, gristly fat. Whoever is checking the meat as it's received isn't doing a very good job. The side salad had rotten dark green lettuce in it and the potatoes au gratin didn't have much flavor. I, on the other hand, ordered the salmon since the ribeye was so pricey. I made a wise decision since the fish was really tasty. It had a sweet and spicy flavor. My roasted cauliflower was really good as well. I was also disappointed in the ambiance of this new restaurant. I didn't find it charming at all. There is a Christmas tree decorated with yellow ornaments/flowers and plastic/silk yellow floral arrangements hanging on the walls. I wish the Mexican restaurant behind this new restaurant would be open because it was my favorite. Everything I ever ordered from there was perfect and delicious. The service was also outstanding. All in all, we probably won't be returning. There are better restaurants. read more
