Wow. Shocked by how delicious this place was. I wouldn't call it fast food, the drive-thru certainly took a long time. But you could tell how good this place is by the fact that there was a line down the street at 3pm on a Sunday. I got the turkey burger, and before you say "fake burger!", let me tell you it was the best turkey burger I've ever had. And to me, it was better than the regular beef burger (which was still good). The BEST burger I've had in the area!!!!! I enjoyed the casual atmosphere by being able to order in my car, wait for it to be cooked and picking up on other side! It took about 15 minutes from start to finish. There is seating in front and a nice size parking lot if you desire to park and eat. When I got there they notified me after waiting in the drive through that they stop serving breakfast at 9:45 and don't open for lunch until 10:30 how stupid of a business move. The burgers are very typical to a "smash burger" which is our family's favorite kind of burger. The meat was fresh, flavor was on point, the grilled cheese is made with a bun and cheese, exactly what you would expect and hit the spot perfectly. Bev's Better Burgers is the drive-through erosion of Bev's Burger Cafe and the two restaurants are basically a block or two apart from each other. I know it is kind of weird for two of basically the same restaurant and the same owner (and basically the same name) to be so close to each other, but hey, whatever works. Bev's Better Burgers is definitely an old school type place and both the menu and vibe of the place is definitely dated. However, again, it works for this small community. Get yourself a burger here. It won't be anything fancy, but Burgers really should not be anything fancy. Sometimes, you just need an old-school burger where you can enjoy the simple dish that became one of the iconic foods that all of America has embraced. Went kayaking on the river to see all the springs and this was the perfect little spot to stop at on the way back. You can drive through or there's a little covered patio area you can order at the window. The burgers were cooked perfectly. Cheese was melted. You can order it "All the way" for all the offered topping fixings. Burgers were topped with a toothpick to use after you are done eating. All the food was delivered warm. I used to come here all the time a couple of years ago, but lately my travels have not been taking me up to Alachua, so it has sort of fallen to the wayside. However, I got to stop by recently, and really nothing has changed. Similar to other burger places in the area, this is a good old burger stand that takes care of its customers. Lots of different offerings are available, and if the line of cars is ever an indication of just how good they are, well... the line of cars when I pulled into the parking lot was out into the street and causing a bit of a traffic jam. The folks inside haven't really changed in the ten years that I have been going here. They know what they are doing, get the food out is a reasonable amount of time considering everything is made to order, and the food is always tasty. Bevs makes burgers like I used to get before macdonalds and before kale (which is a trendy name for collard greens) had to be put in everything. This is an old school Burger place in Alachua A tiny town near Gainesville. My God...these are good. If you know Jack's burgers in South Florida then this is a very similar style and taste. . Fries cooked crisp on the outside and steamy and pillowy inside. Salted just right. Classic thin, flavor-packed burger, brioche bun. They serve the rootbeer with crushed ice- the only way to go. . Fried okra, corn nuggets, and onion rings are probably amazing but it's just me- so I'll have to pass. . . On the way to the Springs we saw another one. Both of them have constant lines of cars around the building waiting for drive-through service. It's not super quick but it's super good and worth the wait. It's quick enough. Had the opportunity to eat at the second of the 3 Bev's Better Burgers and this one is as good as the other one I have been to. I love Bev's and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to stop for a quick burger and fries. I am not a huge fan of the sweet tea, but everything else is awesome. I think what is setting Bev's apart is the freshness of the ingredients they put into the food. I love the burgers and they say they cook them fresh. I love the toppings and think they are all fresh as well. I overall love everything Bev's Better Burgers serves up! I also think the fries are super yummy. I think they are salted wonderfully.
