Pretty good double cheeseburger.
Mark P.

Pretty good. 8/10 for a solid burger. Everything was made to order, fresh. Even the fries were hot dropped. Was over $15 for a double with small fries and no drink after taxes, transaction fees, and dollar tip. No combos. Not exactly cheap eats or fast food but very good and well worth the wait. Don't think I could do them every few days but good for a treat.

Best onion rings I've ever had.

Having been to Bev's Better Burgers several years ago in Alachua and never forgot how delicious it was I was so happy to find they have a drive thru in High Springs. If you've ever remembered a special meal that was so good but when you finally had it again it didn't compare to your memory, well this wasn't the case! If anything it was Better than I remembered, it was truly one of the best burgers I've had since the last time I ate there! It was perfectly cooked to order and delicious also I had onion rings and they were absolutely the best onion rings I've ever had, definitely homemade with sweet onions in a light crispy batter, so good! Even the ice tea was perfect! The service was great, greeted with a smile to take our order and with giving us our food, everyone seemed happy to be there and happy we were there too. I love High Springs area, the town and springs, but I would drive over from Jax just to eat that burger! Highly recommended this establishment.

Double double, corn nuggets with ranch.

We have been coming here for about 4 years now. We stop anytime we are in the area, which is the highlight, we plan our long travel day stops around stopping here. Burgers are awesome. We love that it's a total hole in the way and local spot. Our favoriteeee is the corn nuggets, ugh so good. We love Bev's!

Plain cheeseburger

I saw this place on TikTok from Abandoned Florida and since I'm camping in the nearby state park, I had to stop in and try it! I have to say it was totally worth the hype and the price! Prices are a little more than what was on the menu but the woman in the window did advise that before ordering. We sat outside at one of the four picnic tables and enjoyed the fresh air. The area is highly busy and there's a cafe down the road by the same owner if you wish to sit inside. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with just mayo on it. However it does come with onion, lettuce, tomato and mayo served "all the way." My mom got it and loved it. The veggies were fresh and the tomato was dripping it was so fresh. The French fries were so crispy and delicious! The soda was on point and the sweet tea was actually SWEET! This location was busy the whole time we were there and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The corn nuggets were hot and fresh! Overall, I'd drive the 30 mins from my house to come back and recommend this place to anyone who wanting a classic juicy American burger! Don't sleep on this place it's absolutely delicious!!

Good old-fashioned salty, fatty, cheesy American goodness. Extremely satisfying. Very convenient. Great service.

So this location has been a number of different things over the years. I think I was in there once…read moreback when it was a barbecue place, but since then it has also been a bakery, and now a grill. I went in for lunch, figuring it was another place to give a shot. The menu is pretty standard for a diner style restaurant, with heavy emphasis in the morning for omelettes, then your usual burgers and other homestyle goodies in the afternoon and evening. I went for the Texas burger, asking for it to be cooked medium. What I got was more rare, bordering on blue. Not a good start. The fries that came with it were predictably SysCo style fries. No proof that they were actually provided by such, but they definitely had the style. Staff were friendly, and the seating at the bar was comfortable. Realistically, I don't see myself going back any time soon, unless a group of people invite me to go. It is a bit of a trek from Gainesville, so going specifically to eat there is not in the cards.

Friend of mine spoke very highly of this restaurant. It is tucked away in a tiny shopping center…read more in High Springs Florida. We got there and were met by some very friendly young ladies who sat us down right away. Their menu was very nice they have an amazing breakfast menu too!! But decided to go for lunch options. Couple appetizers and i went with the philly cheesesteak, sooooo good!! Only could eat half, took the rest home.wife got a reuben and she ended up taking half home as well. You definitely wont go home hungry!!! And i also always like to base a restaurant on how sweet their sweet tea is, and Blue Star didnt disappoint!! Restaurant has a nice hometown, cozy feel to it, and the customer service was amazing. Definitely worth a drive , from Gainesville its a short trip up 441 if you like a relaxed drive or a quick jump on 75 to high springs exit then a short drive from there

Came by recently with a part of nine. They don't take reservations less than two hours in advance,…read moreso we had to join the waiting list. We were afraid with the live music that it might be up to an hour wait (we were told). In point of fact, we got seated maybe five minutes after we arrived. (They indicated at that time that it was actually a longer wait for indoors than outdoors despite decent weather.) I split the Baked River Mushroom appetizer with my wife. We had expected stuffed mushroom caps of some sort; but what it actually is is chopped mushrooms and vegetables in a dressing (brown butter sage and balsamic reduction) served with thick dark bread as a platform. Pretty good. I also had a bit of the Spinach Artichoke dip (good) and the Gator Bites (which have quite a bit of fried onion mixed in with the gator) (quite good.) For an entree, I had the Duke's Macaroni with Blackened Chicken (which they mixed in.) Quite delicious, but it did leave quite a lot of oil (over a tablespoon) in the plate. It was a very large portion. We had dessert plans elsewhere, so skipped their rather large dessert options. Our server was outstanding, friendly, taking care of everything. Except for the very long wait between ordering and getting our first appetizers and soups. (Not such a wait before the entrees came.) 20% gratuity added for parties of eight or more.

Great FOOD. Good service from Jules…read more We had Nachos for an appetizer. We had the Salmon was good but a little dry. Burgers where good. All Good here.

We ordered the pork and beef special to share, a good deal at $13.99. Both meats were tender; the beef was a bit dry, however, we finished it all. The service was friendly the few times we've been here. We tried the fried green tomatoes this time and they were very good. One concern was my husband's beer, which he felt was flat but very cold, however my moscato was cold and sweet. The motive is a relaxing farm style. Very comfortable and relaxing. We will return.

Entering it kind of reminds you of a farmhouse, I guess. Pretty standard furnishings and decoration for a country diner sort of place. Of course, we were there for breakfast, so the standard diner breakfast was on the menu. The full menu consists of burgers, sandwiches, and a couple of barbecue dishes. If there were more screens mounted on the walls I would call it a sportsbar, but that isn't the case. Our orders were taken, and I had gone for eggs, hashbrowns, and corned beef because it was St Patty's Day. Realistically one of the few times that I have legitimately had food that was appropriate for the holiday. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time for a group of ten, so the kitchen and staff knew what they were doing. The food was fine... nothing to really shout out about, but also not bad. It was what I expected it to be, and that was good enough.

The guy at the counter seemed flustered ,was on phone. Then first sign was no cauliflower bites, which wife was looking forward to. Ordered some cajun sweet potato fries, and sliders and a double smash burger. I love the look of the restaurant as it is in a.Historic building. Has that early 1900 vibe. They have a Happy Hour from 4-6 items that arent on their posted menu so look at the small sign posted on the tables.. also they posted up a sign in the front of their restaurant on the sidewalk after we entered with a bunch of other menu items that are on their regular menu. As far as our food goes, burger was average the chicken sliders, wete very dry, wife, had to use some of my mayonnaise from my burger, there there was no ranch to be found on there. Both the cajun, sweet potato fries and my waffle fries with my burger. Seemed like they had been cooked too long. And on their menu online , on their website they had soup listed, wife asked about the soup, they said they had none today. I was really looking forward to this restaurant due to all of the reviews on Facebook. I left there feeling let down , i really hope this restaurant improves, being in a small town., small business
