Well looks like Sonic got a make over for the US's 250th . Building is painted Red,White and Blue. Wife wanted to try one of their limited time slushies. Cocunut was nice and refreshing, cold. And the girl was friendly who dropped it off to us. The one thing that bugs me everytime i go there, picking which spot to park at and then pull in only to find the order kiosk is down. Then you have to move. Then when you park at one, order then the card payment option is disabled.. Its gotten better here , but these things make it aggrevating at times. This was my frequent spot after work when I worked on this side of town. Currently it is lacking in consistency. Lately food comes out lukewarm and almost room temp. The mozzarella sticks are so dry and the cheese is not nice and melted. I remember when I used to but into them and the batter was not stale but crunchy and the cheese pull was strong (picture from 2019 below for reference). The chicken items are questionable in texture and again never really cooked properly. The hamburger meat has changed significantly since I remember it looking more dark and having more of a bite to it and now it looks like school cafeteria meat (the gray lab meat). The texture is a little spongey. The drinks are the only thing I seem to come for with the occasional chicken slider but I don't seem to enjoy it as much. I am not sure if I'll just stop coming altogether since every time I come I expect maybe a change but it's always the same issue. It's overpriced fast food and to add not even their sauces add flavor to their food. It seems like nothing is made fresh to order. One beautiful things I enjoy about Sonic is that I can always count on them late nights. This drive in has everything you can imagine from Flavored Slushes, Burgers, A variety style of Chicken such as tenders, chicken sandwiches and so much more!! But last-night I had a Coney Dog on my mind so I knew where to go. Another spectacular thing about about this location is that it really is a "Drive In", the old school style of ordering is Top Notch with their large menu screens at each car port!! Last nights choice was a Footlong Combo with large onion rings and the famous Grape-Nerds Slushy. I also got a their delicious Pretzel Bread and Cheese dip, which is phenomenal!! What also topped off the night was our service was great, our server was friendly and quick bringing out the food. Although the lot may appear full, their staff are quick on the job!! This review is for Sonics NEW Big Dill burger. Cons: very salty, does not look appetizing at all!, not enough pickle taste for what I was expecting. A 15 minute wait after checking in from a mobile order is ridiculous! Assistant manager, Jasmine was outside talking to another employee who was on the roof and Jasmine was very short and hateful with a customer, me. The car hop wanted to give me a coupon I declined. Then Jasmine wanted to refund my money again I decline.I simply wanted my food with in a reasonable amount of time. After all that my dirty soda was made wrong and the corn dogs are cold. read more

It was a Saturday evening, and I wanted to grab something to eat before heading over to a friend's house, and I hadn't been to Sonic in a while. Also, a decent burger sounded pretty good. Pulling in I found the parking lot absolutely packed. Seriously... I drove around the entire lot, and there was all of one spot open the first time I went around, and that was a handicapped spot that I refused to park in. Time for a second go-around, and a spot opened up for me. Pulling in, I noticed that the screen still seemed to have the order of the previous person up, but I ordered anyway and that order seemed to go through. I got a double cheeseburger meal and a crispy chicken sandwich, because it was effectively the only thing I had had that day. My food came out, and I pointed out that the screen was still stuck on the previous order. The wait staff punched in her cashier number and got things reset a bit, but the card reader still didn't work (not necessarily the card reader's fault... my card is getting a bit old and the magnetic strip on it has seen better days). She took my card in and got everything taken care of, so I was paid up and could take my leave, which I did. Got to my friend's house and ate. The fries were tasty, and both sandwiches were good, so no complaints there. Only giving three stars because their equipment does not appear to be working quite right. read more

So I have to start with 'I'm glad Sonic exists'. It's fun, it harkens back to my younger days. Food alas is hit or miss. Something are good and some not. I've been here twice since my last review. Once I ordered a BBQ burger with tots & a soda. My girls ordered chicken fingers & tots & slush drinks. It all came out quickly. The drinks were good, the tots were GREAT! Crispy & hot... mmmm... The BBQ burger was big. I could not eat it all. My only "beef" with it was that the burger was not hot enough. The lettuce, tomato, etc was very cool, which is a must on a hot burger IMO. It was very tasty, but I would have liked a HOT burger. The last time was today. It took a LONG TIME to bring us a burger, chicken fingers & milkshakes. (I only got a milkshake, so I can't attest to the burger this time). My banana milkshake was good today. When I pulled into this Sonic Drive-In I saw a large crowd of cars which made me nervous; however, my experience was amazing. They had so many drive in spots that even with the large crowd I was able to get a space. After looking over their diverse menu, I finally decided on a meal and within minutes of us ordering, the food was already on the way. The employee was very kind and helpful as she gave us our food. The food was really amazing. I would highly recommend the Oreo Cheesecake Master Shake and the Jumbo Popcorn Chicken with buffalo sauce. I will have to start going to this Sonic Drive-In more often. read more

While we don't go to Sonic often. When they both closed down we were a little sad. We do like their lime-aid style drinks, and it's a neat quick bite for the family. We live on the opposite side of town. But when in the area sometimes Sonic fits the bill. Food I feel is better than McDonalds and Burger King but not by much. Came by here the other day because my kid had earned an award for working hard at school. I think it's great that they support the local schools. We will return because my daughter earned a free sundae. I'm no longer a fan of their hamburgers since their changed it a few years ago nor their boneless wings. The family and I still love their chicken sandwiches, tots, drink varieties/flavors, shakes/ice creams, & hotdogs. Their ultimate chicken sandwich was so good and their tots. Have I told you about my addiction to Sonic? It's bad. It comes and goes. Lately, it's been here. And I've been going there quite a bit. I love Sonic. I don't think I've ever been to a bad Sonic. And this one is no exception to the streak. The employees are nice. The food is good and made well every time. My only complaint is that it is incredibly difficult to order a cheeseburger with only ketchup. If I say "a cheeseburger with ketchup," they ask what vegetables I want on it. Then I say, "none." And then they ask me if I still want the ketchup. If I say I would like "a cheeseburger with only ketchup," they ask me if I want cheese. There's a whole different word for a cheeseburger without cheese. It's called a hamburger and it's what I would have ordered if I hadn't wanted cheese. So, if you want a cheeseburger with only one thing on it, you need to order "a cheeseburger with only cheese and ____." In my case, ketchup. Annoying, but it results in a yummy, yummy cheeseburger. So I solider on. They have great breakfast options that are served all day. Which is good because sometimes I want breakfast late in the morning and I don't want to feel like I am on the clock. Help, I can't get out!!! Prior to ordering I decided to use the restroom. Upon leaving, I grabbed the handle on the door and it fell off right in my hands! What??? There was still a small lock cylinder left so I tried to turn it and cut up my hand and got grease all over me. Panic set in as I am claustrophobic and I began pounding on the metal door. Chances of someone hearing me were slim to none as the restroom is inside the bldg. After banging and yelling for help the sweat began to pour down from my head and I was having difficulty breathing. It took about 10 minutes before I hear something on the other side of the door and all of a sudden it opened. I had a glimpse of a few employees standing there but I ran out and sat on the pavement to get air. I have never been so panicky and was shaking. A young employee asked if I wanted water and I said no. After I calmed down, I looked around and no one was there. Everyone just left? No "I'm sorry"? Nothing? How could a door handle get to that point anyway? The employees use that restroom and there is a list to check every hour. This is unacceptable. Yeah, it sounds dramatic. We try and find a Sonic whenever we're on the road, and we're quite the connoisseurs of this chain. The location is a bit of a pain for travelers like us, being about seven miles of stop-and-go from the interstate. The carhops were on skates and were very friendly and we overheard excellent service interactions from the neighboring cars and it mirrored the prompt, accurate, and attentive service we received. Quite unique to this location was delivery. My chicken sandwich was excellent and the tots were crispy. Unfortunately, my wife's Coke Zero with Cherry tasted awful -- she orders these almost daily and can tolerate a bit of variance -- so when she say's it was made wrong, I know they got the ingredient proportions way out of whack. read more

03/14/2017 Omg. This place is literally slower than a turtle pushing a snail up a mountain. I ordered (possibly the simplest order ever) a cheese burger with only ketchup, pickles and mustard. A large fries and a medium strawberry shake. This took 23 minutes. The shake was covered in red drippy (what I assume was cherry sauce) so I asked for a napkin (because there were NONE given to me or in the bag). The waitress said I'll bring you some "Right Back" I sat there waiting another 5 mins till I gave up waiting and left. If I could give this place no stars I would. The sonic cookie dough blast is my fav! This location was pretty good except the blast didn't come with whip automatically, like all the other locations I've been too. So who doesn't love the old Drive in concept? You drive up and they bring you your food and you get to eat it in the comfort of you own car! I really looove the drinks they have at Sonic. For breakfast you can have a Sunrise Smoothie which has fresh bits of strawberries and banana, yum! Then for the rest of they day they have fresh fruit slushies, limeades (made with actual fresh limes) and then there is ocean water (coconut flavored sprite, it tastes really good). Sonic's burgers, etc are pretty good, but nothing too exciting, make sure that you forgo the fries and get onion rings (that's where it's at!!) read more

Sadly this sonics, that has closed down and reopened before, started out well but now the service is consistently bad. I have gone there several times and no one responded to the call button. (Even after changing spots). I have ordered a cream slush forty-five minutes to a half hour before closing and the machine is always broken. Even went one time in the middle of the day and they were out of buns. I really want to like this Sonics but now I don't even bother. read more

Sonic, oh Sonic...why can't I quit you? Probably because I live literally right down the street from this location, so Sonic is my go-to fast food joint and rarely does it disappoint. As far as fast food goes, it's top-notch, but it's still fast food--I'm not expecting first class anything here. Yet Sonic almost always satisfies. On occasion, my tots will be a little overcooked, my popcorn chicken a little less meaty than it should be--but I keep going back simply because it's convenient, affordable, has a pretty good array of options for a fast food place, and pretty darn tasty. Service is fast (as expected) and friendly. Sonic will probably always be my favorite fast food joint. read more
