The space itself is warm and inviting, perfect for a slow morning or getting a little work done. The only downside for me was the limited milk options. They only had whole milk and oatmilk available, so if you prefer other alternatives, just keep that in mind. Overall, it's a lovely local spot with great drinks and a peaceful atmosphere. So my friend and I decided to grab a iced drink and get some remote work done here at Doxa today. When I walked in, I was amazed with the modern industrial interior of the business. Immediately, when walking in you are greeted by friendly employees who are very knowledgeable about their menu. I wanted to try their seasonal drink/syrup which I saw on Instagram. I ordered an iced latte with coconut syrup (seasonal flavor) and oat milk. I did browse around while waiting and saw that they have a mini gift shop in the corner. It has candles, honey, coffee maker & cups, and other trinkets. They also had a fridge stocked with kombucha, sparkling drinks, and other canned beverages. Since I wasn't getting my drink to go, they make your drink and bring it you! I lovedddd this. It was around 10:30 am and the seating was somewhat limited for the time but I wanted to still upstairs to enjoy the ambiance. The second floor really set it off for me as you can enjoy the interior of the coffee shop. To get upstairs, you do have to go up a spiral staircase which I loved since it fits in with that industrial vibe. The only thing I hated today was that the person next to us had her kids running around and screaming and unfortunately disturbing everyone in the building. For my iced latte, it came with a metal straw/spoon hybrid which I liked a lot. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and the coffee was brewed perfectly and not burnt tasting at all. My friend ordered their matcha colada and it came in this pineapple glass with a cherry and cute umbrella in it. She said it was perfect and would order it again. They also serve food as well so I would like to try the chia pudding or avocado toast. I really enjoyed my visit here today and look forward to coming back here. read more

This was my first time visiting Doxa! It did not disappoint! I ordered the ricotta toast with jam and wow! It was like a piece of art, it looked so beautiful that I didn't want to eat it.lol It was sourdough toast my favorite, the ricotta was thick and rich, the jam was sweet and the lemon zest balanced everything. I would definitely get this again. The matcha latte was delicious also and the service was great. I would like to go back and get the ricotta toast again and try their avocado toast as well. Sad it took me four years of living in Gainesville to find this place! I went to church at Canvas next door and decided to stop in after the service to get some work done. What I found was plenty of spaces to study, delicious coffee, and lovely employees. I got a classic iced vanilla latte with local whole milk. It was perfectly creamy! While I didn't try the food, a woman sitting next to me had ordered some form of a lox bagel that looked absolutely delicious. Next time I visit, I'll be sure to try the food. What a great little coffee spot! Absolutely loved the aesthetics inside, the attention to detail aaaand the adorable plant swap system they have created in there. This would definitely be my go-to if I lived in the area. Staff was friendly and suggested I order the lavender latte since I was so undecided. DOXA is located in a shopping center next to a church. The ambience is top notch. I like the candles on each table. I also love the design of the shop, which is industrial and modern. Spiral staircase is a nice touch with a cool upper seating area. Staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is diverse and full of options. The pricing is probably accurate due to being local and natural. We tried the lavender infused honey latte which was not too sweet with a fantastic coffee flavor. We asked for extra hot, but it was not, which was the only downside. Overall it's a beautiful shop with quality coffee, a good menu, friendly staff and a gorgeous design. read more

So happy I finally checked out this coffee shop! Though it is off the beaten path for those who live and work near UF's campus, it is well worth the short drive. To start, the space is right up the alley of this industrial-modern interior design lover. Every item on the menu sounds delicious. On my first visit, I opted to try something from the seasonal menu: an iced orange mocha. It tasted exactly as described, but better than expected - no artificial flavor to be found. The edible flowers sprinkled on top were a lovely touch, giving the whole experience a more elevated feel. I'll definitely be back again and again to make my way through the whole menu! read more

Love this coffee shop in Alachua. We are about 20 minutes from there and try to go every weekend. The vibe is super relax and cool. They have a spiral staircase that leads to another seating area with games. Very trendy place. I always get an iced matcha tea with honey and it is by far one of the best I've had. This place slaps! Alachua has no business having such a good coffee shop! We stopped here on our way from Tampa back to Atlanta and were blown away by the space and the quality of the drinks. The cold brew has some fruity notes to it that makes it not your "standard" brew and the cortado was perfectly prepared. Major props to this shop for going the extra mile and getting cortado specific to-go cups. I also ordered the panini that had bacon, gouda, tomato, pickled onions and greens on rosemary bread... can honestly say it was life changing. Great spot! My friends and I came to this place after seeing our other group of friends do a photo shoot here. The drinks we got were: an iced honey cinnamon latte, an iced matcha latte, and a cranberry fizz (seasonal drink I believe). Personally, my favorite of the three was the honey cinnamon latte. It tasted the most flavorful and the sweetest without being overwhelming. If I have the opportunity to come here again, I'd order that one next (the honey cinnamon latte belonged to my friend so I couldn't drink it all ). The interior of Doxa looked sleek and modern with plenty of seating. They have high-top and regular tables as well as couches. When my friends and I went, the place wasn't busy and there were still plenty of seats to choose from. I'd love to try studying here, but only if I know I'll be studying for the whole day since Doxa is four highway exits away from where I live. read more

Doxa Coffee is a MUST STOP for any passersby, and for those that live in Alachua, it should be a daily grind. The shop itself is a sight for sore eyes with sleek aesthetics and simple decor. There's also an incredible amount of seating, so you don't need to wonder if you'll find a spot to sit and read with your coffee (plus they have free wifi and lots of outlets for any UF or Sante Fe students lookin to study). The shining song of the shop is their coffee. They have a rotating seasonal menu where they create different espresso and non espresso drinks for each season, always utilizing house-made syrups and genius concoctions (the wintry cranberry fizz, an cranberry espresso drink garnished with a bit of rosemary, will send you spinning). They also sling coffee from Zeal Coffee Roasters as well as Bandit Coffee CO, two local FLA coffee producers, and I kid you not when I say that I have had two of the best pourovers of my life at this shop with these coffees. Speaking from experience as someone who travels for music about a 1/4 of each year and has visited countless specialty shops in almost every state, this is truly one of the best shops I have ever been to--for the coffee, the vibes, and the customer service. 5 stars, EASY. read more

Prices are typical of a high end coffee shop, all employees wore masks and about 1/2 of the customers did too even if they were drinking coffee. Stopped here for a couple hours while waiting on a meeting. What a cool little find! The atmosphere is open and chic. The whole shop is so clean and bright. The staff were so friendly and not stuffy like coffee shops can be. They made me a freshly infused hibiscus tea with honey that was honestly stellar. I ordered a vanilla latte w/oat milk as usual but the coffee this time tasted extremely sweet like corn syrup and I reached to to the girl that usually is in charge and she refused to exchange me the coffee even that I really did not like the flavor. It was extremely sweet! in other words, deal with it! She told me to get another one and pay for it. Where is the customer skills and customer satisfaction? I understand this is a small coffee place but if you don't have good service how will you survive, how is people going to support you? It's not that the coffee is cheap at Doxa. I paid $7.76 for a coffee, that I can't drink. I really don't think this is fair to the consumer. The business prefer to lose a customer than lose $7. I am a business owner and as a business owner, customer satisfaction should be number 1. I really feel disappointed because I really liked their coffee and the ambience and I love to support locals instead of a big fish like Starbucks. But it is very unfair that I have to deal with a coffee that it is not to my likings and no one would be able to even drink. I wish she would have tried the flavor of the coffee so she could understand how sweet it was.
