This is a beautiful, light and airy space right on University. The decor has a retro chic vibe, kind of like an upscale 50s cafe. The entry area is cavernous, with large booths, small tables, and various other seating arrangements, and a staircase leads to more seating in a high loft. The drinks are very good, it seems like their specialty is in the flavored drink combinations. The honey oat milk latte is delicious and smooth, and the sweet graham latte (I got half sweet) with cold honey foam was really well balanced. I really like that you can get a flavored latte and have the option to tone it down. The staff is very laid back and pleasant, two baristas were handling a decent crowd without any real delays and without rushing or slamming things around. Overall a great atmosphere and drinks. Somewhat of a con: being so close to the university, the place is swarmed with students camping with books, notebooks, and laptops. 1-2 people taking a 6 person booth, equipped like they're having their mail forwarded there. I'll return, but just plan to take my drink to go. read more

This place is so cute and so instagrammable worthy! Very bright and modern with stylish furniture-lots of pink and green and various places throughout where you can sit. Service was quick and they were friendly! However I did not like that fact that my latte was not filled up to room, as much as coffee is now I would at least expect that. My latte was good nevertheless. I can see why the college kids flock to this place-they even have an upstairs area that's quite cozy and cute with seating. read more

I came with a friend to study at Daydreamer Cafe in downtown Gainesville. Parking in front of the building wasn't available at the time, so we had to park in a parking garage and walk over which took about 5 minutes, nothing crazy. Once we got there, we were in awe with the atmosphere of this place, it's absolutely beautiful inside. They had several booths and tables for sitting. Our barista was really nice and carried a conversation with us. We went on a Tuesday right when they opened at 10am so it wasn't crowded inside at all. I got the blackberry brown sugar iced latte with lavender foam (their spring season drink). They were out of blackberry syrup but he swapped it with blueberry syrup and it was delicious. I ate before I got here as I wasn't interested in trying any of the food items they have to offer (they are more well known for their beverages I assume). We spent a good hour and a half sitting at a comfortable couch with pillows and a table in front of us. It was amazing, I will definitely be using this place as a regular study spot!! read more

We were staying in a hotel across the street, and we walked to this coffee shop each morning. I was amazed on how cute the place was curated. Warm browns and light greens, wavy lines and arcs. This place was perfect in terms of visually appealing. And the drinks were great as well. My friend said it was the best Macha she's ever had. I loved my vanilla latte with cold foam. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A lot of the team came in throughout the weekend and they asked lots of questions about our meet and what we do. I would recommend this place for a cup of joe, a place to meet friends, or just a nice environment to get some work done. read more

Daydreamer Coffee feels like stepping into a daydream -- literally. This is such a warm and welcoming cafe with such a cozy vibe. The atmosphere is pure comfort! We were greeted upon arrival by a young man that had a great smile, was friendly and suggestive. That's rare today because most times employees feel bothered. It's nice to see young folks that are engaging and communicative. Our plan was to try different coffee spots around town, but that quickly got shut down after trying Daydreamer. We were thrilled to come back every day we were in Gainesville. Especially after long days of moving!! The cafe is bright, airy, super clean, PLENTY of comfy seating options to wind down, spread out and enjoy our drinks without feeling rushed! The vibe was great and it was so nice to see all the college kids back and enjoying their drinks. Their coffee is smooth + delicious=SIMPLY AMAZING 10++ Their matcha oat milk latte was phenomenal! So was their oat milk cappuccino and the topper-the Sweetwater matcha We didn't try any of their pastries or bagels so I can't speak on that. The coffee shop is located inside the lobby of Sweetwater apartments on University Ave. If you're into spaces that feel as good as the coffee tastes, Daydreamer is it. read more
