I really like that you can get a flavored latte and have the option to tone it down. The staff is very laid back and pleasant, two baristas were handling a decent crowd without any real delays and without rushing or slamming things around. Overall a great atmosphere and drinks. Somewhat of a con: being so close to the university, the place is swarmed with students camping with books, notebooks, and laptops. 1-2 people taking a 6 person booth, equipped like they're having their mail forwarded there. As far as the cons go, the pricing is a little higher than most shops we've been to. The friendliness of the staff is not the greatest and there is political messaging in the form of papers near the counter. One other thing, we are a husband and wife with a toddler and we were literally the only ones there that were a family. It was absolutely crammed pack with college students and they were all in athletic gear. I don't know if we came at the time of an event or something. Overall, it's a solid coffee shop with a good selection and they also have food (selection varies).

The Seitan Turkey, vegan provolone, cilantro walnut pesto, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on multigrain bread came together beautifully. The bread was soft but nicely toasted, and every bite was and satisfying. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and delicious one of the best I've had in Gainesville. I got the mojo tacos and for my chosen protein I went with the fried fishless filet. The two tacos came on corn tortillas with pico de gallo, queso fresco, pickled red onion, mojo sauce, and lime. Each bite was so refreshing! The lime gave a citrus kick to the sweet pickled red onions. The fried fishless fish was tender and flaky like real white fish. I was thoroughly impressed with Curia and think it's one of the most unique places in Gainesville. Check it out!

The blend is a local coffee shop that is run by a church close by. All of the proceeds above…read morematerial cost go to support missions! They also give a discount to pastors and church employees. The people working there were really kind and friendly to talk to. My mentor got a Java chip frappe which tasted like a chocolate smoothie and I got the mocha latte which was great also. Love that they encourage recycling the cardboard sleeve and use it as a punch card! Highly recommend this place and will be back even though it's about a 30 minute drive from Gainesville.
