    Biscuits and Gravy
    Erick F.

I left my visit with expectations exceeded. The location is great centrally located in downtown. The staff was super friendly. I order the biscuits and gravy that comes with fried chicken tenders on top. It was absolutely delicious. The chicken was fried perfectly, juicy, and well seasoned. The biscuit were soft and buttery. The gravy was seasoned great although I wish it had more sausage but overall delicious. The home fries were nice and crispy. This is such a great location to come grab breakfast

The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing! Our server was incredibly nice. The food was good, but unfortunately it did not sit right with me, and I was sick for the rest of the day. I would give it a second chance, but I didn't have the best first experience

this place is pretty good! our service was quick and it was super fun to sit outside. i got the mushroom and spinach omelette with side salad and sourdough bread. which was DELICIOUS! the food here is great. however, the only thing was that there were lots of bugs outside, so it made me freak out a bit haha. but went inside and then it was all better!

Amazing food and experience! The Florida Room is truly a hidden gym. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this place and thought "hm, I wonder what that is." After 3 years of living in GNV I finally checked it out and I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere is great with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. On top of that, the food is incredible. Highly recommend the omelette. Will be coming back!

The food was fresh and delicious, and the menu items were unique and varied. I had the smoked turkey sandwich, which came with kettle chips. We also ordered these fried cheesy grits, and they were so good!

I loved everything about this place. The food! The decor! The service! Amazing choices for breakfast and lunch. Cheese grits were heavenly. So many great looking baked treats in the display case I wish I had picked up. Only bad thing is that its 2 1/2 hours away from where I live.

This place was NOT it. Beautiful decor wasn't enough to save the experience thanks to the poor service. Food was fine. We got served cold chewy pastries, food was slow to come out, refill for a water was non-existent. The person that sat us had the warmth and welcome of my chewy pastry. But hey decor is definitely on point and food was fine. Not rushing to come back.

Elevated casual dining experience with prices that reflected that. Interior was aesthetically pleasing and cute for dressing up and taking photos. Background music was a little louder than my group and I preferred and felt overly stimulating at times. Food was delicious, and the menu had a lot of options for those who favor savory brunch foods such as myself. I saw a variety of pastries like scones and brownies displayed at the counter but didn't get a chance to try them out--looked enticing, though! Loco moco was good but could've come with more gravy and flavor. The fried grits tots were a yummy appetizer but reminded me more of mac and cheese bites in texture and consistency and less like a tot and I was hoping for a better balance if not more tot-focused. Good to try once but don't feel a need to order again. I'd introduce this spot to family and friends visiting town or if I had an occasion to celebrate and wanted to do so with/at brunch.

The ambiance in here is very cute! Definitely a great brunch vibe and cute decorations. The food, however, was subpar and very overpriced. It was tasty, but could have been much better especially for how expensive everything is. The service was good and our waitress was pretty helpful, though the food did take a long time to come out.

I got the Shakshuka Rancheros. It was pretty good -- eggs were perfect and everything was delicious! The wait time was about 35 minutes when we got there, but we just grabbed coffee elsewhere and came back! The service wasn't quite as welcoming as we expected, but they were busy.

    Coffee cake
    Cosette B.

Cute decorations and atmosphere, when I walked in had high hopes. The menu was limited-- the only sausage offered is pork and vegetarian-- desperately needs to be expanded to include more dietary restrictions. Not halal or kosher friendly. We ordered the shakshuka was not available. Ordered the egg and cheese biscuit and omelette. Ordered a coffee cake as an app. It was okay- took 20 minutes to bring out the premade coffee cake. Waited on the food for an hour before leaving. Left without food- do not understand how it takes an hour to make eggs... was not that busy either. Awful service, overall management needs to make serious changes and menu needs to be expanded.

Slightly pricey but completely forgivable on the sole basis of having vegan milkshakes on the menu. Also very cute dinner vibes!!

Needless to say this the Metro diner truly surpassed my expectations. We walked in and were greeted immediately and asked if we would like to sit outside which is a covered area or indoors. We chose inside given it being a hot humid day and wanting that extra comfort. The vibe felt amazing with all the smiles and yes even though busy all the wait staff was hopping doing their business! We were seated and told about the specials and given the menu. I was unsure what I wanted because I think I could have eaten a little bit of everything! I did ask the waitress a couple of suggestions and one of them was the pancakes I had chosen. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day! How cool is that and rare. They had a chicken and waffle special that was actually half a chicken ( pieces ) fried with Belgium waffles, powdered sugar and sweet strawberry butter served with their signature sweet and spicy sauce. I'll be honest when I had seen someone else get their plate I was surprised. It looked absolutely incredible and well tremendous. On their specials they had banana pudding pancakes or waffles, this also sounded amazing. It had walnuts, butter and powdered sugar and definitely banana. I am most certainly glad that I chose this as it was incredibly. Super fluffy, flavorful and the banana was not overwhelming there was a perfect balance of flavors. There was a sauce on them that I assume was the banana pudding. It was light and just enough to not overpower the pancake itself. We had also ordered croissant French toast and my son absolutely loved them. They were crispy on the outside yet fluffy and flavorful with a fantastic texture topped with some powdered sugar. Some ordered hash browns, these were also delicious and homemade with a great texture and the portion like all the other dishes pretty large. We had all tried the biscuits and gravy. These too were delicious with such a nice balance of flavors. The biscuits indeed homemade. We were all very pleased with everything. Some eggs over easy and bacon cooked perfectly. The coffee honestly the best I've had in years. I'm a coffee drinker and I cannot figure this coffee was outstanding! I had four cups and wish for more ha ha. Best of all I must compliment the service. I have not been to a restaurant of any sort with such attentive service, quality service as we received here in years. The waitress kept refilling my coffee and water, brought my son more soda ( even a container to take his home ) asked everyone if they needed anything at appropriate times and was extremely kind and considerate. I will be back and I highly recommend the Metro Diner for a great meal, quality service and relaxed environment that you will enjoy. Seating seems a little tight, but for the tasty food, it is worth feeling a little closer to one's neighbors than one might prefer. On this occasion, I enjoyed the "222" which is two eggs, two pancakes, and either two strips of bacon or two links of sausage. My wife enjoyed waffles, eggs, and bacon. And while my wife loved her coffee, I did not enjoy the tea. And I never have enjoyed the tea at 43rd Street Deli, at least not since they stopped serving Tazo in the early 2000s. For whatever reason, this fine restaurant serves the saddest tea on the planet---Bigelow. Sad hot wet leaf tea powder. Yuck. It is major downer when the food is grand and tea sucks canal water. It would be so easy to order a box of PG Tips, Marks and Spencer, Tazo, Equal Exchange, or some other whole leaf tea. Not sad hot wet leaf tea powder. After breakfast, for a good cuppa for myself, and for another hot cup o' joe for my bride, we headed over to Coffee Culture where we both enjoyed our respectve beverages and left with a smile. And it could have easily been so in the lovely, delightful, comfy, 43rd Street Deli, too. PG Tips or Marks and Spence would be fine replacements for that pitiful, lamentable Bigelow. And PG TIps can even be bought down the street at Publix.

Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.
