I recently ordered takeout from Keke's Breakfast Cafe. I love that they have healthy options on their menu and was able to order scrambled egg whites with a side of turkey sausage and toast. It was all delish with a generous five egg whites included in the scramble and I liked that they had rye bread as a choice for the toast. They got my order put together quickly and when I went to pick it up they're dining room is cute and clean. The folks who helped me were super friendly as well. A wonderful takeout experience! The food at this restaurant is great, from the huge pancakes to the sausages and scrambled eggs. The service was excellent too, our server Tori was on top of it. Kekes is just the best. I love it here. My friend and I came here this morning and it was such great service and such great food. I love that there's basically every single breakfast option on the menu. I got scrambled eggs with cheese and a side, pancake and sausage. The hostess began telling people that the wait for a table would be over 30 mins and then after ordering there would be about a 45 min wait for your food. Our service was decent and the restaurant is very clean. The pancakes were hard on the bottom. The bacon was decent. The eggs were not good at all. Difficult to cut and very dry and hard. I'm not sure what all the hype was about this place. My family and I did not enjoy our food. It was packed on a Saturday and the service was fine. Lots of birthdays being celebrated so kitchen was a bit slow but understandable. I had the egg whites with turkey sausage and the eggs were so oily. The home fries my cousin and aunt had were not crispy. Cousin had the pumpkin spice stuffed waffles which didn't really taste like pumpkin. Inside booths are mostly 2 and 4 seaters. Food/Drink 5/5 I ordered a Greek omelet with fruit. It was delicious. My wife got the western omelet which was equally as good. Service : 5/5 Our waitress Caylea was pleasant, attentive and got our orders right the first time. It was quite busy and she was juggling a number of tables. Conclusion : We will be back! Food was good. Wait staff not so much, never came back to see if we needed anything. This was not just a bad day for her because we have had this same waitress in the past. Her tip reflected the 10% of work she gave us. She received a 10% tip, which is very generous considering somebody else brought her food out. All she did was make us wait on her to give us the bill. We were on the road and used the iExit app which tells you everything at each interstate exit. It's a cool app where you can sort by service type and more. Found this place about a mile from the exit and had a really nice breakfast. The girls had blueberry and strawberry waffles plus Eggs Benedict. They loved them. The better half ordered regular pancakes. They were as big as a small pizza plus she got three. I ordered the Two Egg Combo, scrambled and chose the English Muffin then added sausage links. Well I'll start with the positive. The place is nice and clean. The glasses of water are large and tasty. The staff is very nice and our waitress was wonderful. We only waited 20 minutes for a table on a Sunday at noontime. Next the not so positive. After ordering it took over an hour to get our food. Understand if they had a staff shortage and can give them the benefit of the doubt on that. We don't eat pancakes or waffles and they might be good. We like an omelet and these were very underwhelming. We ordered the Build your own omelet with an up charge from the regular offerings. We ordered spinach, tomato and onion, my husband got peppers instead of onions. Well the omelets are flat with cheese instead and a sprinkle of veggies on top. Could hardly see them. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome, gave great recommendations, and had the perfect mix of professionalism and friendly energy. It's rare to find someone who makes your morning better just by being around--but Jackson does exactly that. Did I mention Jackson is amazing? Because he really is. Attentive without hovering, quick with the coffee refills, and somehow always right there when you need something. His timing and energy made the meal feel like a treat, not just breakfast. The coffee was not good, basically brown water for $4, not sure what happened there. I had the create your combo with the waffle, eggs and bacon. I received 4-5 slices of bacon which was great! Everything was delicious. The chicken and waffles appeared to be nothing special, 3 breaded tenders on a plain waffle. The potatoes were not as brown and crispy as usual according to another guest. First I will be back to give it another try! My server was good & communicative BUT I have to take off stars because of my subpar meal. Unfortunately, the runner took my food to the table next to me. One of the people at their table and I ordered similar but noticeably different items. The guy got Apple cinnamon French toast (topped with apples and cinnamon) and mine were regular (no toppings), I got cheese eggs he got regular. I was being patient minding my business so I didn't notice until the server came over and acknowledged it. She took the food back to the kitchen. I told her it's fine that I was in no rush and would wait but please make sure they don't just bring out the same plates (because that happens more than you know). Even though I was assured that would not be the case, I'm almost certain if new items were re-fired fresh, my meal would have and should have been piping hot. Not lukewarm. No need to provide butter for my French toast because it won't melt on a warm/colder than freshly cooked order. Unfortunate situation but I will try to come back again. This was my first time eating here and I enjoyed everything from the customer service to the food. My server was so attentive making sure I enjoyed my food and checking to make sure I needed refills cause I love when I don't have to ask for my drink to be refilled! I tend to stay away from "spicy" foods in the morning, but that southwest omelet was calling me so I threw all caution to the wind. I appreciate how the jalapenos were finely chopped. Most places just chunk them things in where there's 4 pieces of it. It was evenly spread throughout my omelet. I ordered a side of bacon fried crispy and it was just that! The grits were good. I had to steal the cup of butter from my bunk buddy's pancakes to put on top of them. They weren't dry, I just like to put butter on top of my grits. The coffee came in the cutest round square mug.
