Food options look amazing lots of dishes to choose from. However, this is not a seed oil free restaurant. It can be deceiving when looking at the menu. For example seared in olive oil is mentioned but they leave out it's been marinated in herbs and vegetable oil prior. However an undressed salad and grill item like a prime rib were supposedly not pre marinated. So for the folks trying to eliminate inflammatory seeds oils from their diets or those with soybean or peanut allergies you need to stay away. Since blended cooking oils or vegetable oil can def contain both. Atmosphere is casual and interesting with all the football history about. I'm adding menu pictures but we just had drinks with friends and when the food arrived for those not caring about vegetable oil etc we left.

Make a reservation! This place books up fast and not just on game days. Had a family dinner here - ended up sitting in the bar b/c a table opened up there before our reserved table. The small bar area was fine, but not as nice of a feel as the main side & wait staff is also the bartender (which means he's got a lot going on) so next time will plan ahead better and try the main dining room. Upscale restaurant in nice location at Celebration point. Easy parking. Lots of hostesses ready to check you in and was impressed to see them wiping down the doors almost every 5 min. Service was fine - really nice guy, he was just super busy as the restaurant was full. Appreciated gluten-free items being marked on the menu and that they offer the GF cheese rolls. If you've ever had Brazi Bites, they're pretty much like that but bigger, cheesier and better. Comes with a marinara dipping sauce that we really didn't end up using b/c the bites are better on their own. An order had maybe 6 bites so will need a couple orders if there are more than 3 of you. Didn't love the mocktail but appreciate that they have several to choose from so will try a different one next time. Food came pretty quickly and was presented nicely. Tomahawk pork chop was good. Really enjoyed the carrots. Halibut was pretty good. Small portion so if you have a big appetite, might want to go with the tomahawk. Chicken marsala was meh & surprisingly mashed potatoes weren't great. Not a lot of food. wouldn't order again. Brussel sprouts were quite tasty. We were there late so didn't walk around much, but there's some fun memorabilia to check out. For parents visiting college kids, this is a great option and much better food than many of the restaurants closer to campus.

Delicious House-made Veggie Burger and desserts! A lot of cool things to look at around the restaurant. The servers were very nice and attentive.

This popular restaurant in Gainesville combines elevated cuisine with a football museum dedicated to legendary coach Steve Spurrier from University of Florida. It features his memorabilia including his Heisman Trophy. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating in a sports themed restaurant. I had the House Made Veggie Burger and substituted mashed potatoes instead of fries $21. My burger did not have the barbecue sauce so I had to wait several minutes for it. I prefer mashed potatoes that are more soft and creamy otherwise it was good.

Beautiful restaurant with interesting Gator memorabilia. It is fancier than we expected (I saw it described as a high-end sports bar). We loved the bao buns app & artichoke pasta but would appreciate larger portions for the price. We did really enjoy dinner and would go back, and now we know what to expect. Oh and the service was great as well.

Are you even a Gator if you've been to Gainesville and never been to Spurrier's?! I visited on Valentine's Day -- solo -- as a recent widow, and I honestly wasn't sure how the night would feel. What I didn't expect was to leave full, lifted, and smiling. I grabbed a seat at the bar (full service, first-come-first-served) and started with the shrimp scampi appetizer -- absolutely delicious. Then came a few expertly made cocktails thanks to Anthony, who was attentive without hovering, and Mandy, whose warmth and spirit felt like a hug you didn't know you needed. For dinner, I ordered the filet with miso-charred Brussels sprouts -- perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and worth every bite. Now... I never do dessert. But in honor of my late husband -- and his love for carrot cake -- I decided to Spurrier splurge. And I'm so glad I did. The vibe? It felt like end-of-the-third-quarter Gator energy -- all kinds of weather, all kinds of people, all in it because we stick together The food is excellent. The drinks are amazing. And the people -- especially Anthony and Mandy -- made this widow's first solo Valentine's Day something I'll always remember. Thank you for helping me have a really good night.

A high end sports bar without the multiple TV sets, named after a University of Florida football player/coach and legend. This place really focuses on quality food and cocktails. The atmosphere is more of a museum than a restaurant as they have every memorabilia that Steve Spurrier ever received, it ads to the fun of eating here. Like the food, the service did not disappoint. If you find yourself in Gainesville, you might want to pay homage to this legendary University of Florida football legend.

    blackened redfish entree

I had dinner with a friend here on Friday night and thankfully we made reservations as it was packed around 6:30pm. Since we were going to a movie, we ordered our food immediately. I went with the blackened redfish entree which I've had before. My friend ordered the chicken Marsala. Paired with my glass of Barossa Valley Cabernet, the entree was delicious. It came out with this large scoop of infused butter on top of the fish. The fish was cooked and season perfectly, it's a good portion for one person. The green beans were good and seasoned with that melted butter. My one suggestion is this entree needs another side to accompany it like mashed or roasted potatoes. Especially for the price point at $36 - eating green beans and a piece of fish just feels like something is missing in my opinion. My friend said she liked her chicken marsala and enjoyed the mushroom flavor. Overall, the service was very attentive and it's always a good time to connect with friends here over a nice dinner and drink.

Came here for our girls night and tried something new! I loved the sweet corn ravioli. I paired it with a Pinot Grigio and it was perfect. The service and atmosphere was awesome!

This was my first time and was for a private event so only a specific menu to choose from but still had a good variety. It was so late that I actually ended up getting the meal and dessert to go but we did have plenty of appetizers which were delicious. The next day I enjoyed what I ordered which was the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans. I brought home the macadamia encrusted mahi for my bf and I tasted. It wasn't my favorite but not the worst either. For a busy Thursday night, it was definitely crowded and with that being said, we had pretty great service. I want to come back for a regular meal and also for the brunch. So far, I'd recommend but I've heard mixed reviews. As a Gators lover, it's also cool to see the football related decor.

The sweet potato soup had a puréed, baby‑food texture, but the flavor itself was surprisingly rich and comforting. The star for me was the Tunisian casse‑croûte. The flavors were incredible; the albacore was tender and seasoned just right, the salata mechouia added this smoky, roasted pepper depth, and the pickled egg brought the perfect tangy brightness. The arugula gave it a fresh, peppery lift, and the harissa aioli tied everything together with a warm, subtle heat. The fries on top added the best crunchy contrast. A Funky Gainesville Gem Just Outside the UF Bubble…read more If you're looking for a spot with personality, great food, and zero pretension, The Top delivers. Tucked just outside the usual UF bubble, this local favorite has a quirky, artsy vibe that instantly puts you at ease. Think funky decor, dim lighting, and the kind of atmosphere where you can linger for hours without anyone rushing you out. The Food: We came hungry and left very happy. Highlights from our table: Blackened Salmon - Perfectly cooked with a bright lemon caper sauce, served alongside roasted potatoes and string beans. Simple, well-executed, and flavorful. Sweet & Spicy Peanut Shrimp - Shrimp and broccoli tossed in a rich peanut sauce with sesame carrot ribbons over basmati rice, plus a beautiful side salad. Big flavor, great balance of heat and sweet. Black Pepper Steak - Top sirloin seared with cracked black peppercorns and finished with a rosemary shiitake mushroom brandy cream sauce. Rich, earthy, and honestly one of the best steaks I've had in Gainesville. Paired with a crisp Caesar salad. The Drinks: The bar knows what it's doing. The Old Fashioned was smooth and classic, and the Cucumber Margarita was crisp, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. The Vibe: Super relaxed. There are front and rear patios, a pool table, and arcade games, so it easily doubles as a hangout spot if you just want to grab a drink and unwind. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a low-key dinner, a date, or drinks with friends. Other Popular Bites to Try: The goat cheese and garlic plate, fried pickles, and their specialty burgers all get a lot of love -- putting those on my list for next time. Definitely check their website for current hours before heading over. Whether you're grabbing a full meal or just a cocktail, The Top is a solid, cool, come-as-you-are kind of place. Highly recommend. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.
