Maddie or server was AMAZING! She really tried to do our best for our large group and help fix the issues we had. We were seated outside and the weather was nice and we really enjoyed our table. Most of the adults were able to enjoy a beer or two and Maddie made sure that we were taken care of and had what we needed. My wings were good and the broccoli was well cooked. The broccoli was brought out about 5-7 minutes after my wings, but not an issue. My daughter ordered a burger with no cheese with lettuce and tomato. The burger came out with just meat and bun. No worries - Maddie was on it to get the items and bring them out. When the lettuce was brought out there were bugs - not just 1 or 2, but like 8-10 fruit fly type bugs crawling around the lettuce. Maddie immediately apologies and we wanted to tell them so they didn't serve it out to anyone else. She said she told her manager and they would be coming by. They never did. We had twins there celebrating a birthday and we wanted to celebrate. We were told they could only do one free dessert. No problem - happy to pay for one so they could both celebrate, but the manager was going to come out to talk to us. The check was brought to the table and still no manager. I would not stop back in at this location which is unfortunate since the servers do their best to help and get what is needed, but managers not seem to want to do much. We never once yelled or requested anything except to speak with a manager to make sure no one else would get served with bugs. read more

I discovered this place years ago but was never really motivated to dine here. The menu did not appeal to me in the sense of uniqueness so I never made an attempt. We were staying nearby and hubs wanted to try Ford's for whatever reason. We went for dinner on a weekday and it was very busy. We decided to sit at the bar and were greeted shortly after. We looked over the menu to browse and the bartender returned after a couple of minutes. We each ordered a beer and burgers. While we were sitting there, we noticed a strip on the bar that is iced for your drinks to sit on! We only saw this once previously and thought it was the best idea! There was also that bright green light strip along the bar that was really hurting my eyes but my eyes are super sensitive to light. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and the food was actually good. I couldn't finish my burger so I took the other half to go. The bartenders looked miserable and I didn't notice anyone smiling. The bathroom sinks were confusing to use, even though there were vague instructions how to turn the faucet on. read more

Decided to check this place out for casual dinner night- restaurant is decorated and some are even built with actual Ford car parts, which was very intriguing to see. They mainly serve bar foods like hamburgers, fries/onion rings but have decent meal menus as well like chicken breast/steak/ribs if you want. Fords in Gainesville has a nice vibe and depending when you go it can be a bit busy. We ventured out on a Saturday night around 7 and we didn't have to wait for a table which was nice. We went over the menu that has a nice variety of food to choose from which includes things like nachos, cheese curbs, kettle chips, onion rings. Edsel's hot pretzels, salads, burgers and well different burgers that can make your mouth water. Buffalo chicken dip, wings, sesame crusted ahi tuna and much more! We both got burgers I got the American Standard which is a basic burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle planks on a brioche bun. It was a decent burger but it wasn't anything extraordinary just a decent burger. The fries were good but again very basic, we enjoyed it but I don't think that either of us would go back again unless more or less for the atmosphere. My friend had the patty melt swiss cheese, caramelized onions and thousand Island dressing on toasted Rye Bread. College game day, so we expected a crowd. Lucky for us, we saw a couple of spots at the bar, and had a seat. The service was pretty good, bartenders were attentive and very friendly. We ordered our drinks and food. We had the potato chip appetizer with cheese, etc. it was just a little on the spicy side for us (we are wimps with that) so we didn't eat much. We both had hamburgers, they took a little longer than expected to come out, but they were good burgers when they did. Not exactly piping hot, but just a couple of decent burgers. I definitely recommend the onion rings, good stuff. Overall, we had a pretty good time, football on all of the tvs, nice people, good food. At the end of it, we both left happy with full belly's. Loved the side salad with yummy, sweet peanut ginger dressing, which I requested on the side. I love that they added chickpeas to the salad for protein. Loved the ahi tuna app, which I requested with all sauces on the side. They brought me 4 different sauces and I loved the sweet teriyaki sauce. The tuna was fresh and well prepared, covered in sesame seeds. Served with small amount of seaweed salad and small amount of slaw. I highly recommend this dish, and I'm a sushi maven. We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were on point. Crispy, well seasoned, and served hot with a good dipping sauce. Definitely a solid way to start the meal. Came for a quick weeknight meal. Was very quiet but to be expected for a Monday night at 8pm. We ordered the onion ring tower, a patty melt, the estate burger, and the fish and chips. The fish was ginormous, bigger than my hand and I have big hands. The fries underneath got a little greasy due to the fish being placed on top vs around the fish. The patty melt was solid. The estate burger seemed a little thick and dry. Took about halfway through the burger (everyone trying a bite) and a look at the menu to realize they forgot the white truffle bacon aioli. We asked for some on the side and it definitely helped out the burger. Overall a good experience but didn't love the items we got as much as the first time. Sad we didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time. Side quest, visit the restrooms even if you don't have to go. Very cool keeping the theme in there (guys too). read more

Today my wife and I had lunch at Ford's Garage and, overall, it was a great experience. Aside from a brief issue with the hostess, everything else exceeded our expectations. We learned that Lily was in training, though she carried herself like a seasoned server. She took excellent care of us and was very thorough in answering our questions about the Chicken Henry. My wife ordered that dish and absolutely loved it. I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which was very good--definitely better than similar options at places like Miller's Ale House. We also appreciated the variety offered on the lunch menu. Between the fantastic service and the hot, delicious food, this will definitely be our new go-to lunch spot. On a steamy Saturday afternoon without any real plans we opted to have a nice lunch at Ford's Garage in Gainesville. We had a 15-20 minute wait and were directed to our table. Dylan, our server, was promptly at our table to take our drink order. Even though they were out of my first beer choice, they have a large enough selection that finding an alternative was easy. We had the tower of onion rings as an appetizer and they magically all disappeared. The Monte Cristo sandwich was very good and the Estate Burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Not afraid to take time and chat and point out some of the more popular items on the menu. Our food came in just the right amount of time. We ordered The Estate Burger with fries and the Brisket Burger with tots to share. The Estate burger was our favorite of the two. Juicy and a great blend of flavors. The fries and tots were good. Nothing fabulous but good enough. We enjoyed the decor and the uniforms worn by the employees. My husband is from the UP of Michigan and is a Detroit Lions fan so this brings us back to our family and friends in Michigan. One of the most engaging restaurants we've visited - it was quite entertaining to see all the signs (with some fun mechanic humor), innovative ways that they used autoshop and car parts as decor/fixtures, and the food selection was very inclusive as well - so there are options for vegetarians, omnivores (me), and carnivores. We came with family and we had the Green and Clean burger (not pictured), whilst hubby and family had Ford's Signature and the High Octane. Both were delicious and the service was impeccable - they checked up on us, and even helped us find the credit card we left behind after we came back for it. The veggie burger held its shape well, the patty had a lot of ingredients like beans and a variety of spices and other vegetables, and the brioche bun was soft and buttery. Everyone left content. One of the funniest poster jokes that still tickles me when I think of this place goes along the lines of " minimum:$100/hr, If you watch: $150/hr, If you help: $200/hr." This is the place to visit if you enjoy car parts. Although, the burgers are expensive, it's located in a busy shopping plaza, so their baseline costs of operation will demand that they charge a higher rate. A normal burger runs about $15.99 to $17.50. All in all, it was a good experience and will recommend. read more

I am always looking for a new place to go. When I saw Ford's my eyes lit up. I couldn't wait to take my dad. He's a retired mechanic so I knew he would appreciate the ambience of the place. Well he didn't wait for me to go but we did go when I came back to visit. I love it! It's everything and more of what you'd expect from a theme restaurant. Amazing! From the tire sinks to the clasp napkins rings; they have it all. If you've read any of my other reviews, I'm sure you can guess I got the nachos with grilled chicken. Yummy. Oh, and they have fresh jalapeños! (You have to ask for them) They were a little over cooked but I mean it's nachos and I'm not going to not eat them! I highly recommend a "pit stop" to Ford's Garage even if it just for a drink. It's definitely something to be seen. read more

There is a sand bar embedded in the hammered copper countertops for placing your beverage so that the wetness of the glass drips into the sand instead of the counter. Very clever.
