Second time back and this time was wonderful! Service was great and the food was even better. My kids had picked me up from the airport and decided that we should have a meal together and enjoy the fun ambiance of Ford's we enjoy so much and it worked out really well. I had the Model A burger that includes Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Pico de Gallo, Arugula, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and a Sunny Side Up Egg on a Brioche Bun and it's incredibly delicious! We all shared Giant funnel tower of piston onion rings that is served with house made chipotle ketchup and hidden valley ranch. These are also amazing. My daughter in law had the smoked brisket burnt ends melt that consists of Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Caramelized in Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Sharp Cheddar, and Bacon Jam on Country White Toast. I had to take a taste of this and the brisket just melts in your mouth and is absolutely delicious. My son had the Fords signature burger which has Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Bourbon BBQ Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, and Red Onion on a Brioche Bun. Everything is cooked so well and is just so good. The atmosphere is so nice it's just a great place to be. I love this burger and beer chain that was designed to look like a 1920's service station and garage. It pays tribute to the history of Henry Ford and the Ford motor company. The only restaurant brand with an official licensing agreement with the Ford motor company allowing it to use their iconic blue logo brand imagery and historical memorabilia. So we finally got the boys to visit, and we couldn't think of a more fun themed restaurant in town than Ford's Garage! The theming is so cool, they even have a car outside and one on top of the bar. When you order certain drinks, they honk a horn, which was such a fun touch. For our appetizer, we got the loaded nachos and they definitely didn't disappoint. I'm pretty sure me and the boys devoured them in no time! Next, I had the fish & chips lunch style and thought it was really good. The fish was cooked perfectly, and it's probably some of the best fish I've tried in Florida. The boys got some of the coolest burgers in town, and my other half really enjoyed his meal as well. Our waiter, Eric, was very attentive and great with the kids, which made the experience even better. Even the bathrooms are themed! I wish I had brought my phone in to grab a photo! They were also clean and well maintained. Overall, we highly recommend this place if you're a car fan or just want a fun, themed dining experience. read more

Maddie or server was AMAZING! She really tried to do our best for our large group and help fix the issues we had. We were seated outside and the weather was nice and we really enjoyed our table. Most of the adults were able to enjoy a beer or two and Maddie made sure that we were taken care of and had what we needed. My wings were good and the broccoli was well cooked. The broccoli was brought out about 5-7 minutes after my wings, but not an issue. My daughter ordered a burger with no cheese with lettuce and tomato. The burger came out with just meat and bun. No worries - Maddie was on it to get the items and bring them out. When the lettuce was brought out there were bugs - not just 1 or 2, but like 8-10 fruit fly type bugs crawling around the lettuce. Maddie immediately apologies and we wanted to tell them so they didn't serve it out to anyone else. She said she told her manager and they would be coming by. They never did. We had twins there celebrating a birthday and we wanted to celebrate. We were told they could only do one free dessert. No problem - happy to pay for one so they could both celebrate, but the manager was going to come out to talk to us. The check was brought to the table and still no manager. I would not stop back in at this location which is unfortunate since the servers do their best to help and get what is needed, but managers not seem to want to do much. It's a nice place, with good service but the cost of the food is too expensive for my wallet. I mean, chicken strips, hamburgers, salads or shakes are typical American food. There isn't any serious skills needed to fry chicken or flip a burger. Spending $35 for dinner isn't worth the atmosphere. And when I order a chocolate shake I expect real chocolate ice cream. I discovered this place years ago but was never really motivated to dine here. The menu did not appeal to me in the sense of uniqueness so I never made an attempt. We were staying nearby and hubs wanted to try Ford's for whatever reason. We went for dinner on a weekday and it was very busy. We decided to sit at the bar and were greeted shortly after. We looked over the menu to browse and the bartender returned after a couple of minutes. We each ordered a beer and burgers. While we were sitting there, we noticed a strip on the bar that is iced for your drinks to sit on! We only saw this once previously and thought it was the best idea! There was also that bright green light strip along the bar that was really hurting my eyes but my eyes are super sensitive to light. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and the food was actually good. I couldn't finish my burger so I took the other half to go. The bartenders looked miserable and I didn't notice anyone smiling. College game day, so we expected a crowd. Lucky for us, we saw a couple of spots at the bar, and had a seat. The service was pretty good, bartenders were attentive and very friendly. We ordered our drinks and food. We had the potato chip appetizer with cheese, etc. it was just a little on the spicy side for us (we are wimps with that) so we didn't eat much. We both had hamburgers, they took a little longer than expected to come out, but they were good burgers when they did. Not exactly piping hot, but just a couple of decent burgers. I definitely recommend the onion rings, good stuff. Overall, we had a pretty good time, football on all of the tvs, nice people, good food. At the end of it, we both left happy with full belly's. Loved the side salad with yummy, sweet peanut ginger dressing, which I requested on the side. I love that they added chickpeas to the salad for protein. Loved the ahi tuna app, which I requested with all sauces on the side. They brought me 4 different sauces and I loved the sweet teriyaki sauce. We started with the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were on point. Crispy, well seasoned, and served hot with a good dipping sauce. Definitely a solid way to start the meal. I ordered the Bison Burger with tots, and everything came out hot and well prepared. The burger was juicy, cooked just right, and the tots were crispy and seasoned well. I also tried the fried strips with dipping sauce, which were fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the ribs, and they were a standout. Tender, well sauced, and paired perfectly with the fries. Came for a quick weeknight meal. Was very quiet but to be expected for a Monday night at 8pm. We ordered the onion ring tower, a patty melt, the estate burger, and the fish and chips. The fish was ginormous, bigger than my hand and I have big hands. The fries underneath got a little greasy due to the fish being placed on top vs around the fish. The patty melt was solid. The estate burger seemed a little thick and dry. Took about halfway through the burger (everyone trying a bite) and a look at the menu to realize they forgot the white truffle bacon aioli. We asked for some on the side and it definitely helped out the burger. Overall a good experience but didn't love the items we got as much as the first time. Sad we didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time. Side quest, visit the restrooms even if you don't have to go. Very cool keeping the theme in there (guys too). read more

Today my wife and I had lunch at Ford's Garage and, overall, it was a great experience. Aside from a brief issue with the hostess, everything else exceeded our expectations. We learned that Lily was in training, though she carried herself like a seasoned server. She took excellent care of us and was very thorough in answering our questions about the Chicken Henry. My wife ordered that dish and absolutely loved it. I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which was very good--definitely better than similar options at places like Miller's Ale House. We also appreciated the variety offered on the lunch menu. Between the fantastic service and the hot, delicious food, this will definitely be our new go-to lunch spot. On a steamy Saturday afternoon without any real plans we opted to have a nice lunch at Ford's Garage in Gainesville. We had a 15-20 minute wait and were directed to our table. Dylan, our server, was promptly at our table to take our drink order. Even though they were out of my first beer choice, they have a large enough selection that finding an alternative was easy. We had the tower of onion rings as an appetizer and they magically all disappeared. The Monte Cristo sandwich was very good and the Estate Burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly. This was our first time at Ford's Garage. We were seated very quickly for a Friday night. Franky, our server was helpful and fun. Not afraid to take time and chat and point out some of the more popular items on the menu. Our food came in just the right amount of time. We ordered The Estate Burger with fries and the Brisket Burger with tots to share. The Estate burger was our favorite of the two. Juicy and a great blend of flavors. The fries and tots were good. Nothing fabulous but good enough. We enjoyed the decor and the uniforms worn by the employees. My husband is from the UP of Michigan and is a Detroit Lions fan so this brings us back to our family and friends in Michigan.
