Heaven in a cup. Iced latte with irish cream and salted egg yolk syrup.

This is THE SPOT. If you're considering visiting, take the plunge. You won't be disappointed. Their entire menu is worth trying and is jam packed with options. Never have I been to a cafe with so many flavors. Barista helped me replicate a latte I had somewhere else, and it turned out even more delicious. High quality espresso, attentive and friendly staff, great seating options indoor and outdoors. It's situated right next to Bo Diddley Plaza, so you can enjoy live music the first Friday of the month!

Guy was real sassy... any questions we asked he responded with attitude... if you woke up on the wrong side on the bed, thats valid but zamn... a customer came after us and he was kind and normal... my friend asked : i forgot to ask but does the bagel come toasted?... he responded: duh, what? I am going to give you an untoasted bagel? All he had to say was it comes toasted... i took my chocolate chai without milk because i didn't want to ask him any more questions.... Bagel w/ salmon was good though and my friend love her white mocha latte.... Note: it was not busy, our group was the only one there and we're a larger group but we weren't rushing him... atmosphere of the place was nice and cozy

Kavagator is the best new addition to downtown! With Uppercrust pastries and all the coffees and teas of your dreams - plus the ample seating, this place is easy to love. The prices are right on par with other places downtown. However, the food has such an upgrade: Uppercrust pastries. If you're from Gainesville, you know exactly what I mean. If you're not from here, you need to go to this place and find out. The coffee is decent. I also got a sample of a hibiscus tea that was delicious (the barista informed me that she'd steeped it for 12 hours! So yummy). There is an excellent amount of seating, and I believe this place is open late. Bo Diddley Plaza really needed a place like this, and I'm glad Kavagator is here. This is a great spot for anyone who works downtown or anyone who needs a solid study spot. Parking is a little tough, but it's worth the effort to figure out. Thank you, Kavagator, for filling this space downtown so well!

This place is amazing! Julia, the owner is so incredibly knowledgeable & kind. She takes the time to explain Kava & Kratom to newbies like us. The menu is SO extensive and covers everything from AM to PM. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing espresso, definitely a must visit whenever I'm in town. Very smooth not a hint of bitterness and notes of chocolate.

Prices are pretty reasonable at $6 an hour during the week or $8 an hour weekends (per person). I've been with a large group and just one friend and the rooms have all been well sized for the different party sizes. We just use the iPad/YouTube to bring up songs rather than the machine. It works well and gets to a good volume. The rooms always feel clean and have lots of seating and movable furniture if you get a little more carried away during your performances. The reason I knock off a star is I find the drinks to be sooo weak, which honestly might be by design...The 6 shot sampler of soju seems like a great value at $10. But my friend and I had 6 shots EACH within less than 2 hours and it barely did anything at all. My friend VERY much a lightweight (like a 4-5/10 off of one shot) so that's how I know they're weak. They seem like soju diluted with lots of juice, which is refreshing but it's not like buying soju at the store and taking shots of it. I will say the bottles/cans are a great value at $4, but if you're looking to be tipsy/drunk while performing I would definitely recommend doing a little pre-gaming before you come. I understand they don't have a liquor license but it would be nice to have some stronger drink options available. The staff here is always super friendly and gives you a lot of privacy. This is a really chill experience and I've always had a really fun time. I just wish the drinks were stronger!

I was blessed with this amazing restaurant to have right downstairs so I'm going to tell you why I think so highly of it. Atmosphere/Appearance: The restaurant is so modern, chic, bright and fun. The décor is lovely and very thought-through. The restaurant spans half of the hotel's lobby with the bar area being right near the front desk, but the dining area directly on the opposite end. There's access to outdoor seating as well if you're feeling it. Service: So throughout my stay at the hotel, Kayla, Thomas and Desiree took care of me for breakfast. They were all amazing at making me feel truly special, almost like royalty. I remember Thomas's bubbly personality, Desiree's talkative spirit and Kayla's ability to cater to everything I needed. I appreciated every one of them. Frederick took care of me at the bar for the one dinner I had and he was awesome. He made me feel like he was a friend of mine whom just happened to be working there. Lol. Food: Breakfasts first. The first thing I ever ordered were the breakfast tacos. They're warm, soft tortillas served with scrambled eggs or egg whites, (I chose traditional scrambled eggs), with a choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo, (I went with all 3), topped with shredded cheese and pico de gallo. You can get breakfast potatoes or a side of fruit to go with the 2 tacos. They were fabulous. The only thing they were missing was some sort of salsa to throw on top. The pico just wasn't enough. This dish was certainly filling. Next breakfast entrée was the Street Corn Hash, which is a bed of chorizo corn hash and black beans topped with 2 eggs of any kind (I had scrambled), cotija cheese, cream and several slices of avocado. This was DELICIOUS. The chorizo was decently spicy, the eggs were fluffy and the whole mixture went together very well. It's much less messy to eat compared to the tacos and of course... I added some hot sauce to it. Lol. Like the tacos. They just need some sauces man. My next and favorite breakfast entrée (I got it 3 times during my visit) is the Superfood Bowl. This is such a beautiful looking, sweet tasting, healthy feeling, spirit lifting dish complied of acai puree paired with coconut milk & chia seed pudding, sliced banana, shredded coconut and crunchy granola. Like I said, this was SO GOOD and literally made me feel so good throughout the entire day. So I did stop by the bar one of the evenings to check out some of the dishes and here's how that went. I tried both their Mahi Tacos and Pork Tacos since the bar was slow. Usually you get an order of 2 with one or the other, but the kitchen hooked me up with one of each. I genuinely appreciated that. Each of the tacos are are compiled of grilled corn tortillas, a red onion-lime slaw, cilantro and the meat of your choice served with a barbecue creama or ranch. They were both decent, but the mahi came out just a little dry. The pork was much better. The wings I had really aren't even worth mentioning. They were okay, but I feel like they were on the menu simply because they're a popular table appetizer. They're just fried and tossed in some sauce, not my favorite. All-in-all, the breakfast here was superior to dinner. Value: Pretty good to be honest. Nothing too crazy here and everything is worth what it's priced at. Breakfast Tacos = $11.00 Street Corn Hash = $13.00 Superfood Bowl = $14.00 Wings = $9.00 Tacos = $14.00 In conclusion, I LOVED this place for its breakfast. Even if I weren't staying here, I'd come here to have their breakfast. JUST GET SOME SALSA IN THERE! Lol.

This is a new spot, and they're in the midst of a soft opening. Their sign isn't even up yet, and I had to add them here on Yelp too. However, we heard buzz about them on some of the Clermont pages in Facebook and decided to stop in on a random Saturday. The shop is super cozy with plenty of comfy ouches and tables plus bar seating, so no worries about finding space (yet). They have a great setup with tons of TVs and music while you smoke; this is a great spot for groups or a solo adventure. And their selection of hookah flavors is really strong all with a reasonable price. We tried Love66, which was just delightful. The best thing? Their staff is awesome. They were attentive without being intrusive and offered tons of suggestions. They were prompt with offers of drinks and refills--and also filled us in on some of the history of how they ended up opening a hookah bar. Just all around a wonderful experience! One note: If you want a full bar, they are not there yet. However, they had plenty of beer, seltzer and generic drink options to pick while you enjoy your hookah. Not a big deal for us, but it would be really nice to enjoy an old fashioned or mule with your smoke. We will definitely be back and look forward to visiting again!
