What struck us was the kindness of the staff and the very serene and relaxed atmosphere of people just sipping coffee, talking, getting some work done in the nice quiet library-like area. We wish there was a little bit more on the menu but in general the drinks were phenomenal. Everyone was super nice and it was very relaxed so we'll probably be back.

The decor is just a chill, come as you are good old mom and pop coffee shop vibe. None of the over manufactured perfectly branded hooplah. This place feels like HOME. The coffee isn't some grand level of masterful craft specialty coffee creation, but it's good and it's worth what you get and the flavors are always fun and seasonal. No sweetener was needed at all. I have noticed more coffee shops downsizing in their cup sizes but not Coffee Culture! They understand some of us want a 16 or 20 ounce coffee! Their small has one shot of espresso, medium two shots and large three shots. Food wise they have mainly pastries that are a good size. I did see a big triangle shaped everything bagel stuffed with avocado and cream cheese that I must try on my next visit. Staff were friendly and didn't mind all my questions and service was quick. If you are in a hurry, they even have a drive thru available.

If anything, it makes me stop.. lean in ... and take a closer look. I didn't get inside today. They weren't open when I drove past. I'm always chasing the up and coming. The not yet constructed. The visionaries operating on instinct before the world catches up to them The homogenization of business is everywhere you look, the same stores, the same facades, the same experience repeated until it means nothing. That's not what I'm after. I go out of my way to seek and find the creatives with something to prove, the ones with an edge that makes everything around them feel a little more alive. Lowbar is exactly this kind of place. Because of its austere yellow exterior ... it reminded me of East Berlin right after the Wall came down. That electric, scrappy energy of a place becoming something before anyone's decided what that something is. The edgy side of town. The happening side. That rare moment where creativity fills the space before commerce smooths everything out. The matcha/coffee will have to wait. It's located inside a cute yellow building with Bushel & Peck and has a few tables inside. The menu had a lot of coffee options, but I mainly came for their summer matcha menu. They didn't have any pastries when I went so I definitely want to try next time. I ordered the Earl Grey Matcha Capp. For some reason I thought it would come with a cream top, but it was still really good while on the smaller side. The matcha had a nice bright color and tasted super creamy and smooth with the oat milk. The Earl Grey flavor was very subtle, but worked well with the drink. Cute little spot and I'd come back to try more of their menu.

The outdoor table is super sticky and also not comfortable (very flimsy metal patio/cafe sets. Not a lot of space for your belongings). Not only that, a toddler in the "no laptop" area is hitting a wooden car on the windows and tables and I'm not sure how I'm not allowed to sit there, but unruly toddlers are.
