Honey available for tea
Jennifer H.

Second visit was no where near as good as our first. Service was lack luster, almost non-existent. When I made the reservation, we specified that there were 3 vegetarians, and asked for veggie sandwiches instead of tuna/chicken/ egg (we did this at our first visit and it was no problem at all) unfortunately they put all chicken, tuna, egg and no veggie sandwiches as promised. The tea was extremely watered down maybe?, not as much flavor as the first time we visited. The eclairs and creampuffs were so soggy you could not pick them up without them just completely falling apart into a pile of mush. In a few short months this establishment has really gone down hill. ( just an fyi, You need cash to leave a tip. You cannot leave it on your card. )

An absolute treat. I came here for lunch with my big sister and had a delightful time. It is very adorable here... with everything you could possibly want for tea time. Nestled in a beautiful house. The atmosphere, food and service is top notch. Our server Emily was an absolute pleasure. She really knew the menu and suggested very good teas. All staff were very friendly as well. It is very peaceful here for soft music. We were enjoying the tea so much we went a little crazy and shared multiple pots. Some tea we tried was banana nut bread, vanilla macaron, chai and and coconut. I love that we each had our own unique china teapot. They have the sugar and cream on the table ready to use as well. I loved the tea but I was really impressed by the food. I chose the tea time combo and my sister chose the quiche combo. For mine I got the Chickan Salad Croissant and you can choose a soup or salad to pair. I asked for half and half. I loved the potato leak soup and raspberry dressing for the salad. It also comes with seasonal fruit which was delicious and fresh. The food looks beautiful and taste even better. My sisters spinach, mushroom quiche was marvelous. I will get that next time. She got hers with half salad and half broccoli cheddar soup. Everything was simply phenomenal. Of course we had to get some pastries. They have a lovely assortment. They are not overly sweet and have delicate flavors. They all pair well with the tea. Pricing is fair here. Their menu is quite simple with daily specials. If you want to do the high tea you will need to make a reservation but walk-ins are welcome otherwise. They have plenty of seating and accommodate large groups. They also can host private parties upon request. Overall it is a very adorable tea house. I look very forward to coming back.

Wonderful!! I always have a great time when I come here. The owner is such a sweetheart and so passionate about all things tea. He makes pretty much everything fresh! (And has a super cool mustache). The tea itself is of excellent quality and the house itself is adorable! It only took about 15 minutes for everything to come out!! Would recommend!!!

I love how adorable this place is, the decorations are so cute and perfect for teatime. The food is a great price for the amount, I usually get either the egg and cheese croissants or chicken salad and whatever tea sounds good! The service is incredible, the owner and the servers are all very friendly and helpful. This is a hidden gem that everyone needs to check out!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.! Really enjoyed my time here with my friends and it was really a relaxing touch to my week after school and work. The service is perfect. They don't make you feel rushed to order and as it was our first time going our server gave us some really good options for tea as well as food. I really enjoyed my sweet cinnamon chai! And my tea rose! Delish!!! Definitely going to be implemented in my schedule

This place is adorable! They moved into this building back in November, and it is the perfect space for it. There are tables decorated with teapots and teacups throughout. Tables indoors and outdoors, and it is very quaint and cozy. They have an area where you can purchase additional bakery items like scones, muffins, cookies, and cakes. My friend and I came for the Sunday brunch high tea. With tax, it was about $25 per person. For the two of us, the high tea came with a choice of one of over a dozen black, white, green and herbal teas; 4 ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwiches, 2 mini quiches, 2 scones I believe one was like a butterscotch and one a chocolate, two mini cinnamon rolls, two mini muffins, some fruit, two little lemon cakes, butter, jam and a little apple swirled dessert. It was so cute and fun to do. The only thing that would make it better is a few more savory options, so it wasn't so dessert-heavy. I know they have a regular menu, but I don't know what that entails, but maybe some small cucumber sandwiches would be nice, something to break up all the sweetness from the muffins, scones and cake. Would definitely come again, but I would love to try one of the other lunch options. Also note they only accept cash tips, they can't take them on a credit card.

I recently had the pleasure of having high tea here. It was amazing. Upon entering the atmosphere is wonderful. It was like walking into a library for afternoon tea. There are tea sets everywhere, along with books, and unique furnishing.  We were greeted by the owner and sat quickly. I loved everything about the feel of the room. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.  Once seated we choose our tea. There were many choices from black tea to green tea to fruit-flavored. You can even get good ole southern sweet tea.  Once tea arrives in our individual teapots we were brought our food. On the 3 tier serving tray, we receive multiple flavors of tea sandwiches, I plate of fresh-baked scones with jam and clotted cream, and on the top tier delicious desserts.  Everything was so good and fresh. The service was amazing and the whole feel was wonderful.  Overall one of the best ta rooms I have ever visited.  Side note: If you want to have high tea you have to book a reservation in advance. However, if you just want to have lunch or breakfast with a pot of tea you can just walk in. The food here is amazing. Whether you want to do a tea party or just have a nice lunch they got you covered.

If you like disgustingly dirty establishments you will love this place. I came at my grandmas request and used the bathroom upon arriving, which looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the houses building back in the 1910's. Tea kettle was filthy as well as the tablecloth, 2/3 of our napkins and the place in general smelled musty. See pics for proof

Called 2 times on a Saturday for reservations told they were busy call back later. Went online filled out the RSVP received a email you must call online RSVP are not confirmed. Called on a Monday the owner told me to call back tomorrow they were closed and don't take reservations on Mondays. Finally received a reservations on Tuesday.....wish we wouldn't have went after all of that. Lewis the owner was even more rude in person, restaurant was unorganized & we received horrible customer service.

We absolutely loved our experience! The food was delicious, service was personal, and the atmosphere was magical. Very relaxing and worldly. The owner even texted me for convenience and catered to our needs. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend. 10/10!

I went to this place after searching for tea houses on Yelp. The food, tea selection, atmosphere, and staff are incredible. I visited twice in one-week, and definitely will be visiting again. Menu items are reasonably priced and good position sizes. Definitely recommend!

Nice quaint business! Breakfast was well prepared. Biscuit was just average, but the Corned Beef Hash was excellent.

The Kookaburra - Honey badger latte with almond milk

What a cute coffee spot in Alachua! I have had my eye on this place for some time and decided to…read moregrab a little lunch from Kookaburra. The coffee shop is bright, pretty spacious and had pretty moderate noise, great enough for some remote work. There's also an outdoor patio, however it's too hot to sit outside right now. Based on the reviews, I wanted to try out the Honey Badger with almond milk and a traditional meat pie with their signature hot sauce. While waiting I got a chance to look around the shop and they some cute swag and gift boxes for your tea or coffee lover friends or self. The first sip of the Honey Badger - I was in heaven, wow. This iced coffee had the perfect amount of sweetness from the vanilla and honey, with a kiss of cinnamon. I can see why this a favorite. The traditional meat pie was really good and not heavy. The only thing I didn't like is the crust was very salty. Thankfully, the hot sauce which was a sweet spice completely the tomato based flavors of the meat pie. I look forward to stopping by to satisfy my Honey Badger fix!

The Tea Room of Keystone Heights - Lots of tea cup options! Very fun!

The Tea Room of Keystone Heights

Absolutely incredible tea room!…read more For my family the best tea house combines multiple elements to create the perfect experience. 1. Variety of teas--you need to have more than a few selections to choose from including different types of teas, from fruity to herbal to green to black and so on. 2. Delicious food--The tea is important, but you want to taste something amazing that requires chewing as well. After all, you need that to complement the tea. 3. Overall Ambience and Attention to Detail--it should look like a tea room, not a restaurant. There should be fun things to look at and the settings and accompaniments need to enhance the experience. Well, The Team Room of Keystone Heights ticks all of these boxes and so much more! There are so many varieties of teas, and you are not served your own pot, but your own tea choice, meaning they go around with the hot water pot to add to your cup but you can select ANY of the large selection of teas for each round. You are not "stuck" with just the one pot you selected at the start. I love this! The tea bag holders on the table and how the loose leaf teas are served is just exceptional. So much attention to detail! The food was delicious! The menu may vary but we had a broccoli cheese soup that was absolute perfection, and the sandwiches are so tasty. My 15 year old son loved everything so much we asked if we could pay for an additional sandwich, but the lovely owner refused to take money and brought him extra sandwiches! The house made scones were perfect as were the accompanying portions of jam and clotted cream. There are many displays of tea pots and other fun knick knacks to look at, and the tea room itself is decorated with fun and whimsical signs and other wall hangings. There are a large selection of hats you can wear! Overall, it makes for a grand and exciting experience in addition to everything else. And the owner is such a delight! She is so friendly and helpful. You can tell she has an absolute passion to deliver the best tea room experience possible. Keystone Heights may be a little off the beaten path, and was an hour drive for us, but we can't wait to go back! Totally worth it. There is also a lovely gift shop you need to explore, and plenty of parking. Check them out soon and you will be so glad you did!

This is a must for any girls day, mommy and me or sister outing…read more So much to see including a lovely gift boutique with all kinds of gifts and treats from tea to Z . Jen (shop owner) is a delightful and lovely person that truly makes you feel special. She has a gentle soul and a kind heart and loves her visitors. The tea variety was incredible and all the food was memorable and delicious. So rarely do I take time from my day to relax and enjoy my friend's company and conversation; doing so at this lovely establishment made the time even more special and more enjoyable. 5 stars Two thumbs up And lots of gratitude
