It was super smooth and creamy, not icy at all, with the perfect sweetness and a light espresso flavor so it drinks more like a dessert coffee. The service was very fast and the baristas were extremely friendly. The location felt clean, safe, and convenient right off the highway. Great coffee, but painfully slow service at the Alachua location. I've been a fan of Ellianos Coffee for years and have visited multiple locations across Florida. The drinks are consistently solid with good strong espresso, good flavors, and reliable options. The Alachua spot has the same great menu and quality brews I've come to expect. Unfortunately, the service here is a major letdown compared to every other Ellianos I've been to. What is usually a quick drive-thru stop elsewhere, turns into a long, frustrating wait in Alachua. Even with a moderate line (or sometimes barely any cars), it takes significantly longer to move through the order and pickup process. I've experienced very slow pacing multiple times with the staff seeming disorganized and often standing around chatting with one another goofing around while customers are waiting, and orders taking forever to prepare with less accuracy, and overall much less efficiency than the chain's usual "speed and precision" promise. For better accuracy, it would be beneficial for the person taking the order to repeat it back to the customer. Other Ellianos locations handle busy mornings with quick, friendly service even during rushes. This one is noticeably slower and less streamlined, which is disappointing when you're just trying to grab a coffee on the go. The coffee is still worth it if you're not in a hurry, and the staff are polite when you finally get to the window. But for drive-thru convenience and speed, this Alachua location falls short of the Ellianos standard I've enjoyed elsewhere. Hopefully they can pick up the pace because it's the one big thing keeping me from being a regular here. If you're in the area and have time to spare, give it a try for the drinks. Otherwise, I'd stick to other nearby Ellianos or alternatives if speed matters. read more

The quality has gone down hill. No joke, at least 50% of the time, my order is wrong. I've been given ice after repeatedly asking for no ice. The taste is off, burnt, no coffee, no taste, ect. It just isn't good anymore. It got more expensive for a drink i occasionally get now that i toss and if i do try to get a replacement, the ppl are never rude but they just get awkward or irritated. And even then, its still a toss up if its right or not. I always tip on card or cash but can no longer justify going there for a $6-$30 bill for stuff that isnt even good. Firstly let me say, I love Ellianos coffee. In between Dunkin and Starbucks but better than both. That said, we stopped here to grab a fast sandwich and coffee. We both got a turkey bacon ranch on a croissant. Hubby got a small hot coffee. I got large (same size as Dunkin medium) iced. Holy cow!! Bill was $24 plus tip!! Sandwich only had one piece of turkey and it was pressed turkey, at that. We could have had a sit down at great outdoors (fancy nearby restaurant ) in the bar for WAY cheaper. it was my first time at the new Ellianos on 200 in Ocala,Fl. my daughter and I decided to check it out and had a very good latte and we tried their breakfast bowl with Grits. Well that was a bad idea! . The grits were so salty we couldn't eat them and about two hours later we both had diarrhea! When a first time experience ends up that way, I don't think I will go there again and it was pretty pricey too! should have stayed home Two coffees and 2 breakfast bowls 27.00! could have had breakfast at home for less than $10. lesson learned once again! read more

We are hooked, too bad with live so out of the way ! We'd love to see one of these in Orlando. Service was great. We tried the coffee, I believe it was a cookies and cream type blend. The recipe used milk but we swapped for almond milk and they guy (forgot his name but he had stickers on his face) showed great service by being optimistic about trying our requested switch of ingredients and ensuring us he'd do his very best... and that he DID ! They ask you if you want to add a tip!! So rude. If I wanted to leave a tip I would offer to leave a tip. Super long line, when we pulled off there is a huge curb with no signs and the employees don't warn you about it. I ordered a large hot coffee, the cup was filled half way and they put a sticker on the mouth piece that left a sticky residue so each time I drank from the cup my lips got stuck to it. Deeply sweet, intensely aromatic. Crazy good flavors of dark chocolate, pink peppercorn, wisteria, apricot, myrrh, all my hopes and dreams in aroma and cup. This location has two drive-through windows So I opted for the second one with 3 less cars. I almost missed it and the came back. The coffee and food was extremely reasonably priced and the coffee was the Italian style I was hoping for. The sandwiches and muffins where okay better then Starbucks but nothing to special, however the drinks and coffee was fantastically on point!! Fun coffee stop! We were driving back from TN, and of course when I see a local coffee shop ... I had to stop! I got the iced coffee. It had a good flavor. I had already had way too much sugar that day, but there was another menu item that I wanted to try -- their version of cold brew where they change out the flavor every day! That day it was butter pecan, apparently a favorite! It has the sugar already mixed in so you can not customize it. This would be something I would try next if we're ever venturing to this part of FL. A couple of unique things about this shop - it's a drive thru only. Travelers note: Not great for a quick restroom break! I noticed they had drive thru's on both sides though - convenient for the person on the go who just wants their coffee. The employees were friendly, and the menu looked great. Their food is limited to what you would expect: muffins, cookies and typical cafe treats. So not a big breakfast stop! The people in front of me order mocha frappa double low fat hold the salt but extra froth and can you make me a cute picture of something Oriental looking on top of my drink please? It's been my luck that I don't have 20 minutes to wait for that poor kid inside to assemble all that stuff so I can order a coffee with one cream and one sugar. The person that pulled into the other drive through orders a Carmel swirling whirly gig with four shots , non fat creamer, Splenda only, and wants a tiger drawn on the lid. I've had Elllianos at other locations and it's good coffee. Yes, I've really waited 20 minutes twice with no hope of placing an order. It has all the markers of good coffee: bitterness, toastiness, and depth. It hits all the marks The location CAN NOT be beat. It's a drive through only situation so it's always moving and it's right on 441 aka on the way to EVERYTHING from high springs. Lastly the menu.
