Came here wanting a sweet treat that was in the healthier side, but man was I surprised with how bad it was. I sampled many flavors and all of them lacked flavor. Maybe because it's low calorie, or healthy, or some other reason, it felt and tasted like diet. I did read a mention about the customer service and I do have to agree. I'm not sure if the guy was the owner but he wasn't friendly at all. I didn't know you only get three toppings with a standard order. When I asked for a fourth topping he immediately cut me off and said, "you only get three". He spent the entire time we were there in the back room, never once coming out to check to see if we were happy with the product, if we needed something else, nothing. Excellent place for a "healthier" choice for dessert. I went here regularly when I was doing a Keto diet. They have a bunch of different options of tubs of ice cream that you can choose from or you can opt for the soft serve of whatever they are serving that day. You can get samples and try the soft serves before you decide. They also have lots of different toppings. To add to it, they don't just serve dessert. D'Lites will never replace the old TCBY that used to be in Thornbooke Village next door. I grew up getting delicious frozen yogurt since it opened and was heartbroken when it closed. That being said, D'Lites is pretty good. They should offer fruit toppings if they want to join the top echelons of frozen yogurt shops. I like adding coconut to the almond joy frozen yogurt, but candy topping defeats the purpose of feeling good about myself eating low calorie froyo. OK I have to update my review We love this place, but we love it because of what they say. Low calorie, diabetic friendly, etc. My mother in-law is diabetic, plus they are a little over weight and always trying to loose weight. They are, on purpose, serving you what you'd expect to get for $4. If you paid for 50 calories worth you'd get a 1/2 small cup full and which would probably only cost $1 or less. So to me this is a business management deception practice thing. Personally I think they should go to the Mochi 'pay per oz' model, which I think would solve this issue. I can not get enough of this place! I come here all the time since moving to Gainesville and get so excited to try the new flavors they have that day. The biggest perk of all is the nutritional breakdown of this ice cream. I love coming here when I am really in the mood for sweets, but don't want to be too bad. This isn't the worst place ever but when there are so many other places in town with much better service, selection, and process, I wouldn't recommend wasting your money here. Maybe I'm just spoiled and used to frozen yogurt places like Mochi and Menchi's that are build your own, but after that luxury, I hated having all the machines back there and poured by the less-than-delighted-to-serve-me minimum wage server pour too much for me and too little for my fiancé and then smother mine in fudge and forget to put the Oreos on it which then meant she had to ring up Oreos in a separate container (which is added weight and you pay by weight) which she also way over poured so overall, I paid more for mine than I usually would since I know how much of ice cream/toppings I want and also what kind. In addition to that, they only had 6 flavors which really isn't a lot and I don't think any of them were like basic chocolate and vanilla but I may be mistaken. I would come back, though, to try the frozen deserts they had in the cooler out front and the specialty dry packaged things they had put on shelves.
