It's been a while since we had ice cream from here. And even though it was a cool day, my smoothie was very refreshing. We walked into just a couple other folks in there, met by friendly person at the counter. He answered our questions. Impromply made our refreshing dessert. I forgot to take a picture of my wife's dessert. That's the one thing about cold stone, it has that ice cream shop feeling/vibe. Cold Stone Creamery is a great option for ice cream if you are in the Gainesville, Florida area and craving ice cream. The ambiance is bright and cheerful and the staff is friendly and professional. Most importantly, the ice cream is very good. I am a huge fan of ice cream and this particular Cold Stone Creamery was an overall positive experience. Since it is in a shopping.plaza, parking is not an issue, the place has a good ambiance, they have a friendly staff and, most importantly, the ice cream here is pretty good. If you are craving ice cream and in the area, this particular Cold Stone Creamery is a good place to head towards. Overall, I would recommend this Cold Stone Creamery and I will give it five stars. Coldstone is some of the best ice cream ever especially if you're not a huge fan of soft serve. I really like their dipped cones. The only thing is they are definitely on the pricey side. They also have the best birthday cakes though my friends got me this one and it was extremely good. It's been a long time since I've visited this particular location, and not much has changed. The service is always slow, and the ice cream is always melted more than I like it, and creates a huge mess when eating from a cup. Due to Covid, the seating areas were blocked off, and no seating was available outside. This was understandable, but a little frustrating because there were tables and chairs outside at the other end of the complex in front of a Starbucks. There were two large garbage cans outside that were OVERFLOWING with trash from cold stone, and we couldn't even dispose of our garbage without contributing to the littering already piled up around the trash cans. This was a major turn off! The ice cream itself wasn't really anything to write home about, especially since it was very runny and not as frozen as it should've been. Half the patrons just shopped at Kmart and the other half escaped from the local Chapter meeting of Weight Watchers. Walked into a dirty, wet floor from leaking ice cream unit. An old hand written sign that the restroom was closed(wrong) was in a caution stand by a clump of towels trying to soak up the mess. Good thing it's holiday week, Health Dept is probably off. Ice cream! There is not a whole lot to say about this except the ice cream is delicious and the service is usually pretty good. I have tried many of the flavors and have settled on the Chocolate devotion as being my favorite. My dad was a fan of the butter pecan and my kids love the cheese cake. All in all I haven't had one I didn't like, but I will say I haven't tried the blue or pink ones. That's just weird to me. I am not into the dye involved making it that color... My children grew up going to Cold Stone. It was a good occasional treat. I have never been when it is busy and usually we are the only ones there. They have been in business for a long time, so I am guessing they have more customers than just us :) read more

The ice cream here is always great just up to cold stone standards. The staff are super nice with many different combinations of refreshing ice cream to choose from. My only wish being there were more flavors to be chosen from because last time I went I was hard pressed to find more than a few out of the norm flavors! read more

I like Cold Stone and I like the fact of how they treat their customers. I went in recently and had a nice time. It was very busy when I went and it looked like they only had 1 staff member. But as soon as it got busy 3 more staff members who were in the back came out and helped with making peoples ice creme. It was nice to see them help out their teammate, but also nice to see them get people through the line in a quick orderly fashion. I do have to say this is the most expensive ice creme in all of town. It is good ice creme but so very expensive. They have have three sizes, like it, love it, and gotta have it. I usually get the love it, but recently got the gotta have it and it was just way to much ice creme. It was okay, Ill put some in the freezer for later. They have tons of mix ins that you can get. I had a friend one time get every single mix in they had and it costed around $70. Overall good ice creme but just crazy prices. read more

Contrary to the other reviewers, I actually liked the ice cream I tried here. I've had Cold Stone and Marble Slab before, but I like them both equally. I came here with college chick and she recommended I try the Cake Batter. Pretty good, but it's pretty forgettable after we made that stop in that gelato place, and again after that crazy Fro Yo I had in Jacksonville recently. Yeah, Cold Stone and Marble Slab, you have an awesome concept. Choose your ice cream, and then your fillings. Customized ice cream is always a plus in my book. Ok so this place is going up a star because my kids love it and the staff is always really nice! The kids portion is still pretty huge and it's a good price. I ordered a custom cake a week ago and I paid for it at that time for my daughter's 26th birthday. I just went to pick it up and they didn't have it! They said that it had been made at the other location here in Gainesville over on Archer Road. So, I drove over there to pick it up, because he called ahead and they said they had it. I get to the second store, and guess what, still no cake! I am really angry at the incompetence of this company to fulfill a simple custom order. read more

I must warn you I m reviewing Coldstone's after discovering Sweet Dreams... reader beware. I used to love Coldstone's. I would get me a serving of birthday cake remix every few weeks. It was so good, I was addicted. But once I discovered the better options in Gville, I stopped going as often. However, today called for some ice cream. I had just had Sweet Dreams last week and I was on Newberry, so I went for the Coldstone's ice cream instead. Plus, I'm going to the Windsor Zucchini Fest on Saturday and Sweet Dreams will be there serving up zuke ice cream, so.... When we came in, we were the only ones there. The person had gone to the bathroom and left a sign she'd be back in 5 minutes. When she emerged, she apologized and I ordered my usual love it birthday cake remix. It's $5.50. She really heaped on the ice cream into that cup, which I find is rare. Sometimes I buy a love it size and the ice cream could fit snuggly into the like it size cup. Meh, that's why I like D'lites, they weight their ice cream out before serving it to you. It wasn't as good as I remembered it being. It was edible, tasty, better than most... but it wasn't Sweet Dreams. Go here for the masses, don't go here for yourself. read more

The freezer was broken when we were there so all ice cream served was soft. The employees made suggestions which seemed to be helpful. There was no toilet paper, thankfully there was paper towels. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again.. read more

I actually like the ice cream, bvy which I mean, its alright. But there are sooo many better places that do it so much better.

I'm not much of an ice cream eater but I do enjoy a good shake. And their shakes are awesome becaue they actually scoop ice cream instead of using softserve like some places do. I always get the PBC shake and suck that thing down. Service is hit or miss but I really don't care becaue I'm there for the shake anyway. read more

I personally prefer Marble Slab over CSC, but when you're waiting for you movie to start and have nothing else to do - this place fills in the gaps. The ice cream is waay too creamy for my tastes, but its not bad either. Choose your ice cream, choose a filling, and they mix it right in front of you. This place is amazing! There ice cream is so delicious and creamy. If you like chocolate and cookies. I recommend getting the Oreo Overload.
