The location is great. It is clean and smell great. It is adjacent from the Steve Spurrier Restaurant. The associates were awesome and helpful. They have a lot of items to select from. They have chocolate, candy, candy apples and ice cream. I had Superman ice cream. It was different from the Superman ice cream i usually get in Jacksonville but it was still good mixed with my favorite toppings. I will visit again. read more

I like ice cream to actually be CREAMY. This was freezer burned every time I come. In addition when I ask for a 2 scoop my expectation is for the scoops to fill the cup and not be barely 3/4 full. When I ask for the cup to at least be filled for what I'm being charged (which is WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT) they insist on charging me for an extra scoop?? Ok. I doing write negative reviews often but I'm not going to keep this one to myself... read more

Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge - Can't even fill a whole cup with 2 scoops - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

So this place is amazing! First of all the smells when walking in are so good, Second I brought my kids and they went above and beyond for them. This means alot to me being a mom of 2 toddlers. When people treat them well it goes a long way for me. They also gave my kids free stickers. The ice cream and chocolates are a big hit too. The vanilla is pry my families favorite flavor and the chocolate boxes make great gifts. Five stars all around!! read more

Not gonna lie, I work in the same square as Kilwins! And lemme tell ya, each time I head I'm there, I'm hit with the smell of fresh chocolate, it feels like I walked in a warm hot chocolate house lol! I mainly get cookies and cream, Georgia peach, lemon/raspberry sherbert and sometimes I'll mix and match, which the staff has no issue with-- Speaking of staff, they've been super nice with me, no issue there. They always greeted me each time I walk in the door. I have yet to try their caramelized apples, I heard they were amazing. But until then I'll leave this review on a super positive note! read more

An ice cream cone a day, keeps the doctor away!!! ...or something like that, right? Whatever. I'm pretty sure that Kilwin's is the cure for any sweet tooth craving or any ailment that may come about! I'm not usually a sweets girl, I probably only eat ice cream once a month and you won't see me randomly craving chocolate for kicks. BUT - I truly appreciate them when I'm in the mood! As a former Ice Cream scooper at a very popular chain myself, I am a sucker for the smell of a sweets shop! With waffle cones and the scent of sugar in the air, it's so easy to be drawn in. My most recent trip came after a night of indulgent and I continued to let the tradition roll on over at Kilwin's. Welcomed in by the sweet smiles of the employees and the sweet smell of homemade chocolates, ice cream and more in the air, it was the perfect post-dinner treat. I always try to switch up my flavor choice and am one of those annoying people that likes to try like every flavor before I choose, (sorry Kilwins team :( ) and this time I went with Salted Caramel Ripple on a sugar cone!! It killed me to not be childish and go with the Superman flavor I have always loved, but YUM - what a choice I made! And even better: The Celebration Pointe location has an epic outdoor area shared with the other businesses and it's such a vibe! So if your sweet tooth is screaming at you, check out Kilwin's! read more

We love Kilwins! As Michiganders, we are not new to this! No other icecream shop that we know other then Michigan ones sells Superman icecream which is a staple in MI! We got a cup of icecream and a cone of two flavors-caramel and strawberry! So good! It was the perfect treat after having a great dinner! read more

Tonight--- 7/13/22 Wow. 900pm we go to Open door. I realize they close at 900 but come on!!!! What happened to customer service????????‍‍ Blonde girl (worker) Sees us to go grab door to walk in and order for two people. Mind you they did have customers in side finishing up paying and the worker looked at us locked the door and shook her head NO!!!!!!! WOW. Nice job - certain you waiting on two more customers would not have affected your closing duties!!! And I am certain it being 9:00 on the dot you could have been a little respectful and spoke to us , not shake your rude head NO AND LOCK DOOR. All worked out as we went to le macaron with amazing customer service as wells desserts. Thank you rude worker!!! read more

Passable ice cream. Nothing really to write home about. We went on BOGO Wednesday, so we got two cones for the price of one. OUCH! The prices are very high. $8.68 for two single scoop cones. Without the BOGO they would have been $17.36!!!! read more

This is probably my favorite ice cream shop hands down in Gainesville! A must try is a season apple pie ice cream with actual chunks of apple pie! It's such an inviting, clean and bright atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and let you try almost every flavor! They also sell specific flavors by the pint, chocolates and candy apples! A must try for a sweets lover and in my opinion way better than decadent 2 stores down. Prices are reasonable and all of it is super delicious! read more

Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge - a person holding two ice cream cones - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Gainesville, Florida

There's a wide selection of flavors here. I tried the toasted coconut which was very tasty, but the prices are outrageous. Almost $10 for a single scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone? Is this New York City? Kilwins was good to try once but I'm not sure it's worth the price. read more

The ice cream and caramel apples are SO GOOD. They can be a bit pricey, but it's worth it. The workers here have always been so kind and helpful, especially when I take forever to pick an ice cream flavor. They do let you sample the ice cream before you commit to it. Trust me - get the homemade waffle bowl or cone. They're made in store and sometimes you can see them making them! read more

Stopped in for some coffee today. They were pretty empty since it was a game day. I ordered a flavored latte. I received a very light cup of mostly foam and missing about an inch of coffee. It was also lukewarm. (See picture) I opened it before leaving because it felt way too light and tried to get their attention, but they were occupied with a large group and no longer looking in my direction by the door. I showed my husband and he said that the girl who made it seemed to not know how to use the machine and she sprayed foam all over the place while making it. Their ice cream is usually good but I'll never come back here just because of the customer service. If you don't know how to make something, you should not serve your "half attempt" to the customer. read more

Very tasty sweets, the staff are a little snooty but the quality of the product they are selling is good. I got chocolate covered strawberries and a rice krispy treat. I'll definitely go back for more sweet stuff! read more

The best hot chocolate in Gainesville! Though I have not tried their ice cream or other items on their menu, I can definitely say that their hot chocolate is SO delicious. My friends and I were out walking around Celebration Pointe in the chilly cold weather and we decided to get to Kilwins for their hot chocolate. Though we had a little bit of a wait (there was 6 of us) to get our drinks, it was worth it! The hot chocolate is made out of froth milk and topped with chocolate shavings. When we received the drink, it was really hot to the point where we burnt our tongues (we couldn't wait haha). There are 2 types of hot chocolate but the regular hot chocolate is always a classic! Highly recommend! read more

This location is absolutely beautiful it's got so much charm and sweets galore! The bright white lights makes the shop feel modern and clean. The incredible waffle cone smell surrounding the air. I would've been content just walking in for a smell. But of course I had to try the ice cream. I sampled a few and they were good, nothing out of the ordinary. Until I tasted the apple pie ice cream. Let me tell you if this wasn't the best darn ice cream I've ever had! This place has sweets from fudge, caramel apples, sorbet and more! I'd love to try their other sweets but I don't know how I'll be able to convince myself not too get the apple pie ice cream because it was really that enjoyable. Throw in that it's located in Gainesville's beautifully built Celebration Pointe I can't really find much wrong with such a sweet place. read more

Had their ice cream for the very first time. We had exceptional service from the young, short girl with a pink hat at the counter. She was very patient and gave us several samples. Then when she told me the toasted coconut was Florida's most popular flavor I had to have it. She was not kidding. What a salesperson. I would never get that flavor otherwise but I'm glad I did. This is going to be big for Gainesville read more

I am happy to see a Kilwins in Gainesville as i remember i first went to them in St. Augustine's. I got the cake batter ice cream and chocolate covered strawberry. I was having a stressful day so overindulged a little. If you're not sure what you want you can sample ice cream flavors and there are free fudge samples. This is the perfect place for chocolate lovers. read more

We ordered three different kinds of fudge. Each one was stale. It was obviously not stored properly. I would not recommend.

A lovely little chocolate, fudge, candy and ice cream boutique is what this is, and I never should have crossed the threshold of this adorable shop. It was like I was in a trance. I have a sweet tooth like you have never seen and it wasn't an hour ago I was considering a 30-day sugar-free diet. I waltzed up to the doorway and before I knew it I was inside gushing over this magical place I found. The store was clean, pristine and storage cases were sparkling. Everything looked irresistibly delicious, I wanted one of everything. The caramel apples start at $5.99. I got one scoop of Georgia Peach ice cream and one scoop of Mystery ice cream which is a beautiful robin egg blue that tasted like marshmallow tutti fruitti to me. The ice cream is all natural and it was so delicious I felt like I was walking on air. read more

I don't always consider myself a connoisseur, but when I do I'm referring to ice cream. I don't many desserts, but I love ice cream so when I stumbled across this small ice cream shop in celebration pointe, I had to give it a shot. Kilwins is great because they offer more than just the traditional ice cream flavors: vanilla, cookies and cream, etc. They also have their own signature flavors that are just as good. As soon as I walked in the door, I noticed the crew making waffle cones fresh. That's always a good sign at an ice cream shop. When I took my first bite, I was genuinely surprised. What I thought was just another ice cream shop quickly became one of the best I've had in a while. The ice cream was delicious and the crew members are all very nice. This is some pricy ice cream, but the flavors are worth it in my opinion. read more

There are few things I am particular about: 1. Chicken Fingers 2. Ice Cream 3. Coleslaw This is a mixed review of my two visits to Kilwins. The first visit I got their ice cream. I heard all this hype about how good it was, so smooth, so creamy. Meh. It was okay. I've had better at Baskin Robbins for half the price. Then we went to Kilwins on Sunday after our movie because they also have fudge. I need to add fudge to my particular list. I thought, surely, the hype about the fudge and candy will exceed the hype about the lackluster ice cream. I was wrong. Okay, so really, I'm particular about a couple of more things: 1. Chicken Fingers 2. Ice Cream 3. Coleslaw 4. Fudge 5. Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream 6. Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream 7. Peanut Butter and Chocolate fudge or buckeyes The buckeye was really good. I've never had one before so I was pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of the peanut butter and the delicious taste of chocolate. The chocolate and peanut butter fudge, on the other hand, was not so great. Which is weird. The fudge was smooth, but there was barely any flavor of peanut butter. Also, it was ridiculously expensive. I think my little half-sized was $8, and the whole bar would have been $10. Ten bucks for fudge? I'm just disappointed. My husband suggests we try again but I leave my fudge out for a day to see if it goes stale and bring out the flavor. read more

I came by two days after this location opened in Celebration Pointe. The shop was bright, clean and smelled chocolatey. There is a lot in this store: chocolates, fudge, candies, truffles and ice cream. I was offered a free sample of fudge right away by Kate and Kimmy. They were very friendly and told me about the fudge specials. If you buy two pieces of fudge, you get one free. I was also offered ice cream samples and water. Great customer service and tasty treats! read more

Kilwins has great ice cream. This spot is awesome too, it's cool to grab some ice cream and chill outside in celebration pointe there. Lots of seating and very relaxing. Try out the cake batter ice cream on a waffle cone or waffle bowl. Also Wednesday's they do buy one get one free. Fill out a punch card too to get a free goodie! 12/10 :) read more

I love Kilwins and this location didn't disappoint! The storefront is gorgeous and very clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. I got the toasted coconut and the chocolate salted caramel ice cream. The toasted coconut was perfect but I found that chocolate salted caramel to be a little more salty than I'd like. This location will definitely become very successful in this new development. I'll probably be coming back again! read more

Love it! Went there when they opened and reminds me of Michigan. My only thing is long wait but worth it.

Usually this is the best treat on a hot summer day, ice cream cone with tasty Kilwins ice cream but NOT today. The ice cream tasted strange and was not of it's usual firm texture but was gritty and barely formed. When I mentioned to the salesperson that the ice cream just didn't taste right, he was not at all surprised and told me their freezer was breaking. Again, I told him that the ice cream tasted bad, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "oh". No offer to refund the money and not even an apology. Im sure he is just doing his job but not what I would expect from a well know and reputable establishment as Kilwin's. I would suspect whomever trained this otherwise nice young man did not prepare him for what to do when a customer is dissatisfied. Also I would question the integrity of the management certainly not the salesperson since I would think a good manager would not allow the sale of a product that is already known to be lesser quality. Now that makes me wonder what is the quality of their other products. So sorry, but we won't be back to this store and I warn anyone in the future especially since money is so tight and is such a treat to look so forward to their ice cream and then this happens.. read more

Really cool ice creme place at the cutest little spot. I thought it was surprising that there was another ice creme/dessert spot litteraly right next door. The ice creme I got in the cone was a mint chocolate chip. It was decent, nothing transcending to the heavens. There was no seating in the store to sit and eat, but right outside of the plaza there's swings and rocking chairs, which I'm sure is not affiliated with the store as it is a shared space. The esthetic of the store itself felt like a cool candy shop. read more

So excited for this to open! I've been a couple times since they opened. We had the maple walnut fudge and the chocolate peanut butter fudge that we brought home the first visit. It didn't last long until we ate it all! Then last night we went back and got ice cream! It was delicious and they even had cute names like "Gainesville Mud" to make it appeal locally. There is also a gorgeous sitting area outside to enjoy your ice cream with benches, couches, swings, cornhole and bocce ball. It is slightly pricey, but pretty much the same as other chocolatiers or ice cream shops in town. It was very clean and smelled delicious! Be sure to get a punch card too! read more
