Inverness has a sleeper here. I came in for lunch, and was one of only 3 different people. The service was nice, but lets talk about that Pho! So good. I asked for extra lime, and it was perfect. Fantastic PHO place. We moved to Florida a few years ago from a place that had fantastic Pho restaurants. When I moved here, I was so bummed. Up until now, I found one we really love in Ocala (AK Pho), which is 35-40 minutes from my house depending on traffic. Today, we went to try Viet Deli based on reviews. Oh my gosh - this place is delicious and legit. My daughter got the Beef Combo Pho. It was her first time trying a combo with tripe in it. It was excellent. They give large portions and there was a lot of meat. We did take out and they give you all the side sauces and toppings you would expect. We live about 25 minutes away, but it was still warm when we got home. Their broth is really rich and flavorful. We also tried the Grilled Pork Vermicelli noodles with egg roll. I loved the grilled flavor in the pork. The meat was tender and the portions were generous. They also do boba here. My daughter had the strawberry fruit tea with black boba. She loved it but said their black boba was a bit hard (not as chewy as we're use to). I think this is either my new #1 or tied for #1. We'll have to go try it a few more times so we can check out more of the menu and boba offerings. Definitely worth the drive! read more

I have never received such poor customer service in my life. Not usually one to complain but I have been drinking bubble tea for a long time since before it came to the US. They're boba tea was gritty and the boba's were not completely cooked right. I sent the drink back because I could not drink it however they did not credit and they told me they weren't going to credit it. I cannot go to a place that does not stand behind their products exceptionally rude management! Do not recommend! They also added that if I wanted the nasty drink back it was still sitting in the back. So the sarcasm wasn't necessary either! read more

We had lunch here again with the whole family because in our opinion Viet Deli still remains the place to go to get our "fix" for Pho and fresh spring rolls. Their Pho still has more flavor and bigger portions than other places that have opened up here in Citrus County. Their Spring Rolls are larger and fresher than others we tried. Some places their rice wrappers have hardened on the edges which indicates to me they're made way ahead in advance. Not so with the rolls at Viet Deli - they're fresh tasting with a great peanut dipping sauce made even better with a few squirts of Hoisin sauce and Sriracha! Our son tried their Crab Rangoon and was very happy with the size and taste. He was kind enough to give one to me. They were indeed filled nicely with a cream cheese crab filling. You can actually see the Imitation crab in it unlike some places where all you can see or taste is cream cheese. He also had their fried rice plate (again first time tasting) and he said it was delicious and it was such an ample portion he was able to take home leftovers for another meal. Their Chicken Pho is a favorite for my granddaughter. She started out a couple years ago eating the children's size Pho but now has graduated to a small adult size bowl. You know it's a great Pho when a child eats all of it and gives a thumbs up as their seal of approval! I had once again their Pho Tai bowl which is a nice portion of rare beef sliced extremely thin so when the hot Pho broth is poured in the bowl, the beef cooks through. I LOVE this dish so much that it's hard for me to deviate and try something new. The inside is still a work in progress regarding their decorations but they are working on it with a new counter for making their vast array of Boba drinks and check out/ take out service. They also have a fountain/beverage area where the waitress refills your drinks. They did expand their sitting area and while we were there enjoying our meal - the other tables filled up quickly and there was a steady stream of take out orders. I hope you will give our favorite Viet Deli a try - they have platters of meats and rice plus noodle bowls for everyone to enjoy! We certainly do! read more

What went wrong? Well a lot. And seeing the other most recent review, seems like things aren't going well. Ordered the veggie pho soup, and the broth had an off taste, almost like licorice. I had to add my own soy sauce at home to make it palatable. And they completely left out the tofu, the only protein in the soup and the main ingredient. When I called to complain, they said they would give me double next time. Doesn't help me now or later since I won't be coming back. Also ordered the chicken fried rice. It was bland and similar to what you get from a cheap Chinese restaurant. I come from the NY area and have had amazing Vietnamese food, so I have a solid baseline to say this is overpriced and underwhelming. read more

Today I visited the Viet Deli in the Inverness Seafood and Meat Market, and what a wonderful experience it was. I was quite excited to visit this restaurant as it's brand new, and it's always amazing to witness our town growing and diversifying! Let's start with the service at the Viet Deli. As soon as my guest and I walked in, we were greeted kindly and we sat ourselves down at a booth in the back. Our server came right over, and was attentive and friendly our entire visit. While we waited for our food to come out, our server even assisted my guest in making an order for meat from the butcher. She was fabulous. The gentleman who packed my guest's meat order was also polite and inquired about our visit. Now on to the ambiance, it's what you'd expect of your standard deli. Nothing fancy, but a great place to get a bite to eat. It was very clean and organized, which is what matters most! The seating was limited, so it's not the best spot for larger parties. ...and finally, the food! Phenomenal, in one word. The fried pork egg rolls I ordered were beautifully golden brown, crispy, and packed with flavor! The meat and vegetable balance inside was perfect. They were served with duck sauce, and I found they went well with sriracha, which was offered at the table. The pho tai I had was just as awesome. The beef broth was delicious and very aromatic, and the beef and noodles were nice and tender. I throughly enjoyed the optional ingredients you can add yourself such as the mung bean sprouts, Thai coriander, and lime! My guest got the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork, shrimp, and an egg roll. The grilled pork was tender and sweet and you could really tell the bowl was layered and plated with care. My guest noted that she loved how the vegetables in the bowl were cut delicately. The noodles were also served with the duck sauce. Fantastic! Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Viet Deli! It receives a 5/5 in every category and I was so pleased with my visit! When you visit, definitely do not miss out on those fried pork egg rolls, they are a must! read more

I had mild expectations for food while on vacation here in Inverness -- mild enough that I was on my way to pick up some fast food for the family when I spotted Viet Deli. I made a mental note to check it out for our next meal and I am glad that I did. As expected there was pho, and grilled pork over vermicelli plates...but I always get excited when I see bun bo hue on the menu. Inverness is probably too small for them to stock all of the really funky bits but it hit the spot as it was. They were also able to make a vegetarian plate for my wife that was also great. The proprietor seemed super friendly too. Anyway tldr this place may not look like much but Inverness should make sure to support Viet Deli! read more

Wow what a gem for a small town. I wasn't sure what to make of it as I was surprised that there would be a Vietnamese restaurant in Inverness. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic! I was happy that they were doing take out especially in this pandemic. Ordered the Pho w the sliced meat and meatballs. The broth was flavorful and you could smell the star anise. The pho was authentic in flavors. Ordered bun thit nuong grilled pork, shrimp, and egg roll. Again quite flavorful and yummy! Lastly ordered the shrimp fried rice and that too had lots of flavor! I saw a post by Viet Deli on Facebook showcasing their Pho and was SO excited to have a pho place so close by! My husband and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday and it was just as amazing as I had hoped. The deli is small and cozy, which for me is a positive. I like that there are only a few tables so service is wonderful and fast. We had the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce which was fantastic and then went for pho as our main dish. The broth was super hot and full of flavor, the meatballs were some of the best I've had, and the dish itself was huge. I was able to take half of it home for dinner that night.
