Pork chop (asked for sides separate) - very flavorful
Angel I.

Dined outside on their patio and had great service by Manny. They have a smaller menu so that they can focus on quality preparation, which I appreciate. From the various items we ordered, we all highly recommend the she-crab soup- it's hot, silky, creamy with balanced flavors of crab and sherry. Other standouts were the risotto (sizeable portion), the pork chop (tender and simple), and the tuna poke. Some of things we recommend you skip are the fish dip and ceviche appetizers... nothing special. Make sure you make reservations, it fills easily. Overall, a good special occasion spot for Inverness.

Went with our dining group and it was awesome! Waitress recommended the pork chop and the crab cake stuffed salmon. 3 of our party if 9 ordered this, 3 ordered the salmon and 3 ordered the seafood risotto. Everyone lived out meals. Most people took home doggy bags with the leftovers. Very small house. We had a private room which was very nice. Highly recommend this place. Everyone said they'd come back again !

Right off the bat, I will say that the food is pretty good. We ordered prime rib with the Caesar salad, sushi, spinach artichoke dip, and stuffed salmon. The stuffed salmon came with risotto which had a very sweet drizzle over it, I would request it without that in the future. Everything else ranged from average to good. The thing I didn't appreciate was the ambience, or lack there of. For steakhouse prices (we spent $130 for 2 people), the interior decor and furniture was cheap. Our table was coming apart and it looked like something a group of 85 year old men have played cards at for thirty years in a basement. Walmart curtains are used to separate dining areas and I had a lovely view of an industrial floor mat as I ate. I cannot justify the prices when the atmosphere is lacking.

We did make reservations even though they were hesitant because we only had 5 person, but it turned out ok because they were not real busy. Our server, Andrea, was prompt to our table and took our beverage orders, and when she delivered the drinks , she explained menu specials and cooking methods, and then took our order and off she went to get busy. In 5 minutes, she brought out our coleslaw for everyone and In another 4 minutes, she brought butter, tartar sauce and shrimp sauce of the table. We set near the front door, and we got to see a few people walk by while we had our food delivered and while we ate. The food was good, delivered hot and cooked well. One of our party ordered the ocean scallops and he ordered them grilled and not over done. They were cooked perfectly according to him. The haddock dinners were grilled for two of us and it was not really exceptional, but good. The cod sandwich was blackened and my wife liked it well. We were happy with everything including service. Andrea was a bit anal about clearing the plates, as if she wanted us to move along after our eating, but not obtrusive. We will be bask. They have a prime rib dinner grill on Thursday.

Even without a reservation, the hostess seated us within five minutes, which was a fantastic start. To help us beat the Florida heat, they thoughtfully brought us iced water right away without us even asking. We started with the cocktails: I ordered the 'Firefly' and my friend got the 'I'm Trini & I know it'--both were wonderfully light and refreshing. For appetizers, we went with the Foie Gras (GF) and the Scallops. Both were exceptionally succulent, delicious, and plated with the fine-dining presentation they deserved. Since our first round went so well, we ordered a second. My friend loved the Firefly so much they got another, while I tried the 'Meet me in Maui,' which I thoroughly enjoyed. The second Firefly wasn't quite as spot-on as the first--perhaps a shift change behind the bar--but we still enjoyed them all. With our second drinks, we ordered the main course: lamb chops with a side of vegetables, cooked medium-rare. We planned to share the meal and specifically asked for the mushrooms on the side since they weren't gluten-free. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, the mushrooms were placed right on top of the vegetables beneath the lamb. The server was extremely apologetic when we pointed it out (likely a simple miscommunication given that we were sharing), so we just picked them off and placed them on my plate. A quick note on the lamb: we ordered medium-rare, but next time I'll probably go for medium-well, as it was a bit too tender for our preference--though still remarkably tasty. Surprisingly, the vegetables ended up being the unexpected star of the plate! Lastly we ordered desserts, They got the Creme Brulee (GF) and I got the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake of which I tried both, and they were exquisite. I wish I had a larger portion. Especially of the hazelnut cake with shavings of coconut on it. It came out looking like a piece of art when placed on the table. Despite the minor hiccup with the mushrooms, the service was wonderfully prompt, and the overall experience was fantastic. The ambiance is seductive, attractive, and features a gorgeous artistic mural--making it an ideal spot for a sophisticated adult night out. (They also have a private space across the street for larger parties and events.) We were both completely satisfied and will definitely be returning, either together or separately, to try more of their incredible menu. Highly recommended!" Sorry didn't get the lamb chops and dessert , was to engaged in conversation but definitely worth getting.

The crab cake is one of the best I've ever had. The fried shrimp tasted so fresh. I don't like oysters but I ate 7. The perch left something to be desired however. Not much flavor at all. Also, tartar sauce just tasted like mayo. Cocktail sauce however was amazing. We got cheese sticks for the kids....completely over priced. Only got 5 sticks and they were tiny and obviously from a box however the fried mushrooms were some of the best I've had and it was a huge basket. You feel the peace that the waters and surrounded by oaks and nature. And there is a full bar outdoors as well The food was ok. We had clam chowder soup wasn't my favorite but had worse. And we ordered two appetizers escargot which I don't recommend it included 5 snails on top of a lot of small mushrooms and it wasn't seasoned well!! Hard to match my previous escargot plates in other restaurants. The other appetizer was gator bites. I liked that! For our main entree we shared a seafood combo but you had to choose from fried, boiled or blackened and we chose fried they couldn't accommodate having half the plate cooked a different way so was just too much fried seafood. The platter brings shrimp, white fish, scallops, à crab cake, and oysters. The shrimp were big and tasty, and the white fish was delicious scallops were also good but the rest not so much. It's hard to eat all fried and all seasoned the same except the crab cake ( a lot of veggies in it and not enough crab so you don't really eating à crab cake) I hope this helps
