I'd give 10 stars if I could! This is such a hidden gem in Lecanto with absolutely outstanding food and service! I would highly recommend reservations as tables are limited due to the intimate size of the building but you won't regret it! Lori was my server & went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. This chef has a stellar background and clearly cares about each curated dish- crafted to absolute perfection. Thank you for providing such a deliciously wonderful dinner!

We enjoyed our experience very much. Made reservations at the bar and had great service. Decor was very cool. Our food was excellent. A little pricey but I expected that. Definitely will go back.

This swanky culinary oasis offers a unique high-end dining experience that delights the senses with a Chef-inspired menu that emphasizes fresh, local ingredients showcasing a variety of succulent flavors. Upon entering, you'll find a warm, cozy and elegantly contemporary ambiance, enhanced by modern eclectic décor and vibrant artwork with Still Water colored walls, dusty rose chairs & gold accents. Alex, General Manager extraordinaire, keeps this refined boutique vibe both elegant and inviting with its artistic food presentation, thoughtful wine pairings, and skillfully crafted cocktails. Kayla, our server, was genuinely warm, and delivered attentive service. My favorite dessert was the Crème Brûlée-a luxurious cool, creamy vanilla custard under a shattering, shining burnt sugar shell garnished with a sweet, fresh strawberry slice. Katch me if you can?

We love it here. Only regret should have found you sooner. Have not reviewed in a while. The atmosphere, service and delicious drinks and food will bring me back. Worth the drive for many, but for me it's basically just down the road

We had one of the best meals we've ever experienced at Katch 22. Every single dish was a knockout--from start to finish. The Chilean sea bass was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, the tomahawk steak came out sizzling and cooked to perfection, and the Thai shrimp had just the right amount of kick and flavor. And let's talk about that Caesar salad--hands down the best I've ever had (seriously, I'd come back just for that). The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve--every bite felt like a well-thought-out experience. If you're anywhere near Crystal River, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. This place is the real deal.

A quick snap from my seat - very inviting and comfortable seating.

Ask the Community - Katch Twenty Two

Will they accommodate gluten and dairy restrictions?

I'm sure they would- we were asked about dietary restrictions by our waitress. Plus the menu is largely gluten and dairy free.

Are you still open for lunch? Can I get the lunch plates?

No unfortunately they are closed for lunch and have been since they closed down from COVID. They do have a food truck across the street for lunch options!

I thought about ordering them but they came with pasta and I worried it would be too heavy. She said it wasn't heavy sauce and was perfect! I had the large fennel salad and the seared octopus appetizer. Delicious! I wish there was twice as much octopus as it was tender and so good!! My friend had the beef skewers and they were very good, meat was tender and well seasoned. Our server was very attentive! A very nice place to have a dinner date! I would definitely go back and try other dishes.

Young employees work there but they were very polite and personable. We ordered our dinners. 2 ordered the veal, 1 ordered the steak skewers and three of us ordered the Lamb special. The presentation looked great. We all ordered the lamb medium rare. Upon picking up my knife and trying to cut threw the lamb I realized that it was going to be an issue. It was really tough. 2 others that ordered had the same problem. We called for the server and mentioned it to them. He took one dinner, brought it out back and in comes the "owner" "chef" who appeared to be a young women. When I told her that all three lambs ordered were tough, she stood there and stared at me. After a minute or two she said, I can't understand how that can happen. I told her that I couldn't either but found it hard to cut and eat. She immediately said "Well, we can't give you anything else". I said fine, then just take it back. The others agreed to do the same. When she took the other plates on the way, she called me a bitch, somewhat under her breath but loud enough for us to hear. The father then comes in, (owner) I told him what she said and he defends his daughter saying " She never talks that way". In either case, he defended his daughter and the meal and never once appologized or said he understood or anything. After a bit of an argument, he finally said he would take it off the bill. My husband and I have never ever had to fight for money back for a meal that could't be eaten. They were rude, non-compasionate, argumentive. The other 3 people had a wonderful meal as the beef and the veal were very tender and delicious. It's too bad as we thought we finally found a great place for an elegant diner. To bad , the attiude that we experienced, means we will never go back. Beware that if you complain you will have a fight on your hands. Finding restaurants in this area is so different from other areas where they try to please. Needless to say my husbands Birthday dinner ended up a disaster.

The building nearby is currently under construction, but surely the location would be much more welcoming once the construction is complete. We ordered the smoked fish dip to share, and I had the fish and chips. The smoked fish dip came with round crackers. I liked that it had a hint of smoky flavor without being overpowering. I'm always a fan of fish and chips, and the portion was generous! The only downside was that the fries were placed under the fish, so by the time I got to them they were a bit greasy and soggy. The view is truly a great selling point -- we spotted birds, fish, and what we believe were dolphins!

We ordered, fried gator tail, my husband had a tuna poke bowl and I had the grouper bites with an order of french fries. Everything was very good. Service was quick friendly and from our table we saw the beautiful Kings Bay and it was so pretty.. we didn't realize we could sit at the tiki bar, which was right down the path and sit closer to the water, but we'll have to come back to this place and try that out. It's all the same food both places. Everything we ordered you had a choice of fried, blackened, or grilled Our server came back three times to see if everything was good was very attentive and everybody there seemed to work like a team, which makes it nice. .Our total bill came to $69. If we would've used cash, we would've saved three dollars. They also have a gift shop with a bunch of different shirts and Stuffed manatees. You also can book to take a cruise right there out on the bay or to go swimming with the manatees. There is also an attached hotel in boat docks. We will definitely be back there!!!

First of all, the drive out there can take some time, especially if you get stuck behind a driver who seemed to almost stop at every hairpin turn...not just slow down but crawl to almost a stop. There aren't a lot of spots where you can legally pass so we just had to hope they get off the road or take a turn before we get to our destination. As luck would have it, they turned right into Peck's Old Port Cove. Doh! Upon entering, we requested outdoor seating and the hostess gave us a couple of menus and two sets of silverware and instructed to head out and find a table we liked. We secured a table right by the water. After reading reviews and checking out the menu, my wife and I both ordered the almond crusted fish with lobster cream sauce and with fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a hurry and the views and refreshing breeze more than made up for it. While waiting for our food, we were served some complimentary fried string onions to munch on. The fish was prepared well. Flaky white fish (which we were told was farm-raised swai, aka basa which Google indicated is related to catfish but didn't taste like it) in a nice almond breading and a sauce that perfectly complemented the fish. The cole slow and hush puppies were also good. My wife and I thought the portions were generous and we wouldn't be able to finish it...but we ended up part of the clean plate club as we ate all of it. We're so glad we made it out here...good food and good ambience. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $46. NOTE: We drove out to Ozello Community Park after reading that it's a worthwhile visit. Nope! Save yourself the time...nothing to see there.

I ordered the scallop and shrimp mac and cheese to go, and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, rich, and flavorful without feeling heavy. You can really tell this is a place connected to the water and the local community. This is a family-owned restaurant and fish market and that they have their own fishing boats. I'm thinking management must have changed because wow the staff has been better. We both ordered the same thing which we loved from our last trip 2 years ago, the Royal Red Alfredo. We get our dish and it is clearly not what we ordered last time but figure we haven't seen our waitress for 10 minutes and she never even checked on us. We had been out all day so we're starving. Oh, worth mentioning...it was my Birthday. Didnt even get a "Happy Birthday" after mentioning it to our waitress. My mother had to get a refill from the bar. The more we eat the more we realize this wasn't what we ordered, but rather the Shrimp Scampi variant. We call for the manager who argues with us over what an Alfredo sauce is which clearly it is not...he swears it is and that it has separated into God knows what as all we see is a soppy mess of butter and garlic. I show him a picture from Yelp of another customer's Alfredo from the restaurant we are CURRENTLY sitting in and told this is an old picture...We both realize we're getting gaslit as we know what an alfredo sauce is and had the exact dish so we know what it looks like. We agreed that we ate the food and will pay the price for the scampi dish they served us which is $2 cheaper than what we actually ordered. They refused to lower the bill so we left and paid without tipping. I've never had an experience quite like this where the manager will not even work with you. Not even an apology...we will never be back here again. You can judge for yourself if that looks like Alfredo to you. If you want straight seafood, this place might be alright, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.
