Our first time eating at the new Lecanto location. Very nice outside ambiance to welcome you into the restaurant. Inside is gorgeous with large wooden beams on a vaulted ceiling with the ever present huge moose head above the entrance way. We called ahead because we had a party of six. Their tables usual seat only four but they have extensions to add to the table to enlarge it. I was hesitant at first thinking the extension would be wobbly but in fact it attached to the table well and was extremely sturdy. We were greeted warmly by our waitress Diana who asked for our drinks order and appetizer. She interacted well with our young grandchildren who are shy and have difficulty in giving their order. Diana wisely made sure they had plastic cups with lids for their drinks which saved us from having embarrassing spills. Our appetizer that we ordered were their Rattlesnake Bites. They're fried round breaded balls made of Jack Cheese and chopped Jalapenos. Served with a Cajun Sauce for dipping. We were served a nice sized portion for sharing around our table in a paper lined basket. They were good but not as tasty as their Pickle Chips. They're still number one in my opinion. My entree was the 14 ounce Fort Worth Ribeye and I asked for it Medium Rare with fried onions on top. My steak was cooked perfectly and tender as can be. Fried onions enhanced my steak. Excellent flavor profile - just seasoned right. My two sides were a House salad and their Seasoned Rice. The house salad was portioned well. Made with fresh, crisp lettuce blend, cherry tomatoes, diced eggs, shredded cheddar cheese and crunchy croutons. I ordered it with an Italian vinaigrette which I loved. My seasoned rice was very good also. Firm rice cooked with a delicious seasoning mix and sprinkled with fried onion bits that made me happy that I ordered it instead of potatoes! We had a fantastic time celebrating my granddaughter's birthday with great food, great service and a special birthday song with a free dessert for the birthday girl. The rest of us skipped dessert because we were full and took home doggy bags and to go cups! We are so happy we finally have a Texas Roadhouse in our county now and we will definitely be repeat customers! read more

We stopped here on our way to visit a local attraction. We ate a prime rib entree and just split it because our appetites are not as big as they were when we were younger but the food is terrific! We've been here a number of times and have never been disappointed with the food and drinks. While not top notch steakhouse fare, it is above average. Service is competent and (almost too) quick. The ambiance is attractive BUT the overall noise level is very annoying. The main room is barn like with no sound absorbing ability at all. We can tolerate it for the hour or so it takes to eat, but it would be so much better if it were quieter. read more

Husband and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and got there about 4:30, things were getting crazy busy. Walked in and a very sweet employee was standing there taking names, got checked in and gave her our phone number and found a seat. 10 minutes later my phone went off and we were taken to our table by another cheerful employee and she brought us a basket of fresh hot buns and butter, yum! Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. We ordered when she returned, large menu, lots of appetizers and entrees to choose from. Our Ceasar salad came quickly and it was delicious and fresh. Soon after our dinner was delivered in a timely fashion. I had Chicken fried Chicken steak with gravy and mashed potatoes, it was hot and tender and I really enjoyed it. Husband ordered the rib eye steak and baked potato. Well, unfortunately his steak was so tough and chewy and for 35.00, no way. Our waitress came right over and took it back to kitchen and couldn't have been any more apologetic about this. The Kitchen Manager returned to our table with a new steak and baked potato and also apologized and she stood there until he took a bite of the new steak and he was very pleased, it was delicious and he was happy. We are here tonight. Had their steak kabob and fillet. Fillet was so dry and grisly. Husbands steak was tough and grisly. Fork was dirty with food stuck on it. Glasses had some gritty stuff on them that we could wipe off with a wet napkin so not suppose to be there. Buns were old so we asked for new ones. They were much better. Just not up to other Texas Roadhouse standards. Disappointed. read more

This is my favorite place for a reasonable priced delicious steak. The atmosphere is Texas country and the staff is super friendly. They are very busy so call or text for seating. Steaks are freshly cut and you can choose one from the steak counter if you like. They still have peanuts but in a bag at your table. It is casual and loud and lots of birthdays to saddle up. But those soft hot rolls with cinnamon butter (addictive).I get the bone in ribeye medium rare. It is charred and cooked to perfection. My sweet potato was good also. Our salads were in a cold bowl and fresh. My wife gets the chili. Service is excellent. They all work as a team. Drinks are cold and margaritas are good. read more

We went here to celebrate our son's birthday on a Friday afternoon. We had a great server that was very good. I had a sirloin with shrimp that was cooked perfectly. My wife had the steak medallions which were ok. Our son ordered a burger, when he bit into it it was raw inside. The server asked if he wanted something else but he declined. She did bring him some ice cream though. This is a beautiful restaurant with great service. They need to improve in the kitchen and get the meats under control. read more

We sat at the bar where we were served by a very delightful and friendly bartender. Another gentleman named Brian came out and checked to make sure everything was good. My fiancé and I came here for the first time at this location. Hadn't been to one in many years. Similar to Outback as far as food. The ambience was great. Very busy for a Wednesday night. The food was excellent. We definitely want to come back again to try other meals. Try the rattlesnake bites. They were really good. Very tender filet mignon. The rolls were warm and delicious with an amazing butter. The service was not good. The server needs training. She was not personable at all. No smiles. Not friendly. She came back to the table a couple of times. Never offered to refill my fiancé's Coke and he didn't ask for one either. It should've been offered. Never offered an appetizer. Brought the check with no offer of dessert. Was gone for like 15 min after giving us the check. Luckily the food was so amazing, otherwise we probably wouldn't go back. But we definitely will and hopefully next time the service will be better. I was a server for over 25 years, and when I go out to eat, I can't help but notice things. We have been going to Texas roadhouse for years, we have never ever had a complaint about your establishment. The service has always been spot on, the staff is very knowledgeable and very attentive. As for the food., It's always perfect, it comes out promptly and correctly and most of all delicious. We were there. Sunday for my son's birthday. Stopped in for dinner on a weekday last week. Nice ambiance, but very loud. I had a salad with bleu cheese dressing, a NY steak medium rare, baked potato. The salad greens were excellent. Wide selection of lettuces, and various other vegetables, served in a nice China bowl. The bleu cheese dressing however was complete tasteless, with only the slightest odor of bleu cheese. Quite a disappointment. Bleu cheese dressing is very common, it shouldn't be hard for a chain like Texas Roadhouse to have an excellent one. Finally I was served the NY steak. It was tasteful to a point. It was definitely tenderized, another disappointment. Our server was excellent. I doubt I will return. No tenderized meat for me. It was such a great adventure to eat at the road house just a few miles away! The place was Packed beyond belief but a wonderful atmosphere of staff literally "boot scootin" for our pleasure. They were having fun, and so we're we. Ordered Ribeye 12oz size, which came out to table and tasted purrfect. Just enough crispy barking to drive my taste buds into serious DELIGHT. The whole meal was prompt, and there was lots of staff interaction, which may be abundant due to day 3 of the opening. I could go, but everything gets better, BUT IT IS MY SCORE OF 5 THAT MATTERS. A friend who has some disabilities asked me to write this review about the Lecanto, FL Texas Roadhouse. It was his birthday. He ordered a margarita, and the server did not offer choices - the drink arrived on ice cubes (he had expected blended with salt rim.) He told the server but didn't ask for a replacement - we were celebrating! When his steak, ordered medium rare, arrived it was very tough and way over-cooked. Not wanting to interrupt the party mood, he still didn't complain. Later he learned that the salmon ordered by another in our party was also bad and he got a mushy overcooked onion. WHEN WE'RE CELEBRATING WE WANT TO MAINTAIN THE PLEASANT MOOD. THAT'S WHY MANY OF US DON'T COMPLAIN. My friend will never return to this restaurant, and he tells others to avoid it. read more
